I just read the Da Vinci code (which was actually very readable; I'd recommend it), and got very frustrated (partly because the ending SUCKS- very Disneyfied). Basically (I don't know if you've read it?) they're are trying to figure out this riddle. And I'm no good at riddles and the three characters who were trying to figure it out supposedly are experts in the field, so I spent the last few chapters screaming (in my head) the answer (I don't want to ruin it for you). And also thinking "I'm going to be so gutted if I'm wrong"- But I wasn't wrong.
I only tell you this because it's another example of a smug smile moment. And we all have them; so when was your last?

I don't really have one right now either...but I've seen the Da Vinci code movie but haven't read the book. In the movie I was like, oh yeah that's it, but I don't know how I'd have reacted reading the book. razz

I saw the film before I read the book. I have it on DVD, and read the warning on the back about the self flaggelation (or whatever it is), and being a person who had no idea what that meant... it really is the one moment of the film that stands out clearly Xx da qiao xX Haha, I can't think of one right now, but did you see the movie?

I thought I liked the film, then read the book and realised I didn't remember too much about the film, re-watched it, and realised that it doesn't even hold a candle to the book (although I hate the ending in both) Xx da qiao xX Did you like the movie and the book?
