 Kiefer took a deep breath. The air was getting cooler. Not cold enough to consider it winter, certainly not cold enough to snow. But the air was crisp, and summer was most certainly gone. The sun still shone with the same brilliance, but it was as if someone had turned down the heat. He felt the warmth from the direct sunlight, but the air was cool.
The trees were already beginning to change, the bright green color of the leaves giving in and turning all sorts of shades, from red to brown to yellow, causing the forest to explode into a symphony of color.
He trotted towards a trickling river. The stallion bent down, drinking the water. It was very cold, making his whole body drop temperature. The stallion shivered a bit, his winter fur hadn't fully come in yet. Curse the weather, coming so darn quickly and expectantly.

Oh how she loved this season! All the variety of colors, they bedazzled her. They made her keep wide eyes and a smile upon that gentle face. Her short mane rustling in the cool breeze. Silvered earrings jingling like small bells.
She tried to remain optimistic.
Her ears flickered to the sound of water, she beamed. Her throat seemed so parched, she did need something to sooth it. But on top of it she had scented another. She was in a very good mood today. She couldn't remove that genuine smile.

Kiefer's ears flicked as the wind brought in the scent of another. He swished his tail back and forth. He could seek them out, he could leave, or just stand where we was. It didn't smell like any sort of offensive creature, probably just a normal soquili.
The stallion stretched his neck up high,once again inhaling the cool air. He would just stay put. If the other was interested in socializing, he or she could come see him. He certainly didn't dislike company, but he was having a lazy day- no urge to make too big of an effort.

She almost pranced to the water source...and the other who seemed to be residing there for the moment. Her curled tail flicked behind her as she laid eyes upon the golden stallion with emerald orbs like her own. He seemed...dazed. She arched her neck to lift her maw into the cool waters, perhaps cool was an understatement. She lifted her head looking to him, "Hello." she smiled sweetly wondering if he would turn his back like some anti socials did or initiate conversation. So many options...she smiled at the thought.

Kieter turned his head, meeting the eyes of a dark mare, who had obviously decided to seek him out. He cracked a smile. For once, he hadn't made an idiot of himself by bursting through the woods onto some random soquili. What luck.
"Hello" he said, nodding. "I'm Kiefer. And who might you be?" he asked, swishing his shortish tail a bit, waiting for the mare's response, and yawned. Cool days always made him tired.
