Wazaam padded through the brush of the forest, coming close to the cliff that boarded the water.
Large Paws brought him through, keeping his emerald orbs open and his orange pelt raised.
He hadnt been in this area before, and Father had said something about wandering too far into other packlands.
It could be dangerous.
But his ears were drooped, and his head was low. How sad he was lately. His father didnt want him, didnt think of him as he thought of his sisters.
It brought a taste of bitterness to the young pups tongue.
He was moons old now, but he still felt like a new born. This was ridiculous. His mother had said theyd go on their own little walk, and they hadnt. She had lied. So his father was demeaning and his mother lied..
So many bad things against him. He was so upset lately. He didnt even want to breathe. If he could find a way out, he would.
The smell of salt caught his nose, and he sneezed. He was nearing the water, and.. this was dangerous territory.

Twist walked forward in her territory. Something was off today and she could feel it. Her mind was wandering into an abyss she hadn't been to in a long while. Prehaps because she was stressed- or maybe something else; prehaps it was stress. Not that she didn't love being the queen, but she was rather expecting something else. Maybe more bowing?
Well that was what she got for scowering filth. The only one in the pack that she actully liked was Algoma; but she couldn't even show that to the pack because it would throw off her 'perfect' persona. What she really needed was to start raising up her evil army. This way she could act more like herself and less like that tree hugger Libenalas. God she just wanted to eat that pink girl- so annoying.
Her ear then took a startling turn by itself. What was this? She mused as she pinpointed a tiny sneeze. More Fodder for the pack? It sounded young from the likes of it. Prehaps something she could turn distinctly evil? Into a murderous brute? Oh she liked that thought! With a plesent bound in her step she raced forth to meet the little welp before Algoma would have a chance to eat it.

Wazaam heard the approacher, and stopped, perked his ears, and his eyes widened.
He knew he had stepped into enemy territory. He knew he had messed up.
Shaking his head, he put his tail between his legs and turned. But the forest all looked the same, and he felt overcome with panic.
Keeping his mind level, he turned back around.
Whatever was coming could eat him. But only if they had nose enough to FIND him.
He ducked his little body in a whole that wasnt much bigger than he was.
Barely fitting himself, he felt sure he'd be okay in such a little whole.
Oh.. He should have stayed home.

It was bad luck for the puppy that Twist was keen with her sences- expecially her nose. After living in such a dark forest it was really what she relied on most of the time. After a few wuffles threw her large nostrils she could easily smell the fear wafting off the others little body. She had been right- it was a puppy that had wandered so dangerously close to her territory.
"Come on out dear- I promise I have no ill intentions."
Her voice sounded sweet and almost motherly. Her body then stopped about a foot away from the cave mouth. "I know your hiding in there sweetie- but I won't hurt you. Not at all. Scouts Honor." She then proceeded to lay down in her spot and watch for any movement from inside.

Could he trust the sweet voice? The voice of a mother, like his mother? He shook a bit, at first hearing the voice, but then settled, watching the female.
She was rather pretty colored, all dark colors. Like a storm, almost.
He tentitively stepped out, nose first. Sticking out his nose, he snuffed, trying to get her scent. But all he smelled was the beach..The salt.
His eyes were scared as he jumped from the small hole in the cliff. His little orange body sticking out compared to the sandy hues of the rock.
"H..Hi.."
He spoke slowly.
Then, he spoke quickly as if not controlled.
"Imsorry, I didnt meanto wonderinto yourterritorymiss. Please forgive me."

"Don't worry about that my dear." She cooed out motherly. The more comfortable he felt around her. The easier he would be to take and mould.
"Your always welcome in my territory. Frankly if you have family- you can bring them too...unless your running away."
She seamed to muse with a slight chuckle. "But you look like a bright young man so I doubt that's the case...your probally out being brave and strong." She blinked her glassy eyes at him as if she was boulstering up his ego.
"Though if your not to busy my young friend you could always come back and meet my family. We need a strong male like you in our pack." Again her smile seamed to widen with the same rosy exterior as her voice. Oh she had this puppy good.

What were the odds? This female had told him everything his father had said he wasnt.
She had just taken strides and leaps, where his father had taken a stroll.
Odds were, if Wazaam had been nurtured and loved by his father, this female couldnt have gotten to the pup so quickly. but he was young, and he was scared. And this lovely nice Miss had just offered him shelter with his family, and had said he was strong!
"Uh.."
He looked at her, green eyes widening.
"Well..Well thanks miss. I appreciate it. Im afraid Im a bit lost.. But.. You think I look brave and strong?"
His ears drooped as he looked at the ground.
"Father doesnt think so.."
He spoke softly.
Oh yes. She had him where she wanted him and he didnt even know it.

"Of course I do!" She got up from where she was laying and licked Wazzam nuturingly on the top of his head. "Your father just needs to open his eyes. Frankly your the bravest, strongest, male I've seen in a long time." She smiled at him warmly and thumped her tail as if each time it hit the ground it said. "I approve of you."
"Lost? Well I could help there- I'm sure we could easily find your mom and dad. Frankly I'm surprised that you haven't found them already with the looks of you!" She again was reffering to him being a strong little power house of a puppy.
"And when we find them- you can show them how tough you are..." She paused. "I have some kills you would look wonderful pulling back to your parents- you could tell them you caught it; and I'm sure once that happened your father might begin to see everything I see in you- you have potential my young friend."

Her offer didnt sound too extreme. In fact, he knew that the recent food shortages would mean trouble for the family of wolves if they didnt find something soon.. So he could do that, moreso for his family's lives that for his pride.
Looking at the female, he offered a shy smile.
"My name is Wazaam. And I thank you for your kindness."
He said.
Her words were kind, and he hadnt seen enough of the world to even think she was possibly playing him. He was too good for that.
Sneezing again, because the salt was so thick, he smiled.
"You would share your food with my family?"

"Of course my dear! I'd be a poor Alpha if I didn't." Her smile seamed to brim at it's borders. "Anyways our pack is brimming with meat so I'm sure one missing caras wouldn't mean anything to the vagabonds who reside in our borders- plus we need to show your papa how strong you are my dear Wazzam..."
She then paused and nuzzled him lightly. "You can call me Twist if you like...and don't mention my kindness. I'd do it for anyone with potential like you."
She was glad to see him smile- buying into her lies and trouble. But at the same time it seamed to fill a missing void she had on the inside. It was as if she really wanted a litter of her own. Something to raise up with love and kindness- eh but that wasn't anytime soon. First she needed to win a war.

Wazaam smiled, and leaned into the nuzzle. He hadn't had that kind of nuzzle for a long time, and truthfully, he missed it.
''Thank you so much, Twist. Thank you so much.''
Little orange ears perked and he licked Twist's cheek in kindness.
''I dont know where my family is though. Honestly, I.. Dont even know if dad will come looking for me..
If dad doesnt ever find me.. me being me wont make him think Im brave, or strong.. or prove anything.''
He said sadly. It was definately something he liked about Twist.
He had a mother outside of his mother now.

"Actully I have a friend who knows where your parents are; I don't know them personally though- but I hear you and your siblings make for quite a cute family." Her voice rather wandered at the word 'cute' really wanting to say something else but resisting the urge to gag.
"I believe from what my friend told me; that they are actully making there way towards us as we speak. So prehaps if we are lucky our paths will cross!" Her silver orbs danced playfully as she seamed to favor Wazzam over all the other 'pups' she seamed to have rescued to date.
"Though if we do meet I'm thinking you should probally stay back- at least till they realize that I'm not a big bad woof- because I know some wolves have a problem with Alphas..." She trailed off with a distant sigh.
"I'll give you a signal though- and when that time comes you can come out with the carcass and tell your dad all about how you took it down like a big strong wolf! I'm sure it'll make them very happy." She nodded her head spinning her plan out again.

The orange hued wolf pup with large paws smiled and started wagging his little stub of a tail faster.
''So they'll see you and not get angry?'' He knew his father.. And thath is father was notorious for being overprotective. Except for his boys.. He didnt care at all about the boys and how they faired.
''I hope daddy does see it that way.''
Twist was definately a friend that he could use.. And she seemed to care about him more than his own parents, and he felt a pang of respect, and maybe a small tinge of love spread in his body.
''Awesome! Well, okay! Then, I'll go with you! I dont see why not.. and my parents do need the food..''
And I do need the love..
He added in his mind.
''Lets go.''
