My stepdad, after I read Half-Blood Prince, made a good point about it.
J.K. is going to have to put a lot of material in book 7, to get a sense of satisfaction.
I mean, how's she going to deal with all those Horcruxes? Plus, I'm expecting Harry to seek revenge on Snape or at least for there to be some closure there, too.
Honestly, I'm a bit worried. Either the Seventh book is going to have to be gigantic, or there might not be a sense that the series is done.
Any thoughts?

Yeah, that is what I think is going to have to happen. Out here we are taking bets on whether or not she is going to push a 1000 page book ever since she began (or at least when it came to the fourth). I think that the book is going to, at the very minimum, be as big as the 5th book, just so everything will come to an end with satifaction.

She said it wouldn't be as long as the fifth book, it won't be. She said there would only be seven books, there will only be seven.
When a writer makes a series they plan out everything.
J.K. Rowling didn't just start writing one day and come up with what she has now. She knew Harry would go find those peices of Voldimort and she knew he would die, she knew everything. She isn't, now, rushing to finish the book and figure out how to tie things up. This was planned, it's a series. That's how it works.

Oh, she has finished writing the seventh book. It is just taking forever to finish with editing, and then publication. At least that is what I hear from people I know.

But who says that seven books is the limit? Originally, people began the theory of seven books (Seven years of Hogwarts). But there's probably somewhere it says seven books, i'm really not sure...

Im only expecting there to be 7 books, and she did say it wouldnt be as long as the fifth. But we can have hope, can't we?
I think she should make it the longest, I mean, we're supposed to find out more about Harrys parents, Harry has 5 more horcruxs to find and destroy, and theres still dealing with Snape (Although I think hes still a good guy) and Voldemort.
There's so much left un-answered!!! gonk
*hopes for a long book* cool

In regards to the problem of finding all of the horcruxes in a short amount of time, I believe that there is ne simple explanation that may or may not be right, but its definitely logical:
Someone already has them all.
We know R.A.B. has one already, so who's to say they don't have them all? And that they themselves went on the very search Harry is to be embarking on. They could all be in one place and all Harry needs to do is track down the collector. Of course, this isn't the most 'heroic' thing in the world, but it makes sense and would shorten the book considerably.
There will only be seven books. Like Sakura said, everything is planned out. She knows what she's going to write and how long it will take.

Sakura_kura She said it wouldn't be as long as the fifth book, it won't be. She said there would only be seven books, there will only be seven. When a writer makes a series they plan out everything. Robert Jordan said there'd only be 10 books in the WoT series. *is not bitter* But you're right, Jo has this all planned out and the series will be nicely wrapped up in book 7. Personally, I don't think finding the Horcruxes, destroying Voldemort, Snape reconciliation, and learning more about Harry's aprents will be too long. Though, the sixth book was incredibly long for something that proved to be mostly just filler.

Even though she says things are prone to change, I doubt they will. She seems very organized about it already. crying

So they might be in the Black house.
Which Harry, luckily, inherited.
I don't know... I just wish there was more Harry Potter.
But I suppose JK knows best, when it comes to her own books.

JKR wouldn't make all the Horcuxes in one place though, would she? I mean it would be kind of boring to do that. I'm thinking that Harry would find them in groups of 2 maybe? I don't know, but Harry finding all the Horcruxes in the same place would be kind of boring to me.

I think the Horcruxes will be a little easier then we suspect... I mean is R.A.B is Regulus Alphard Black, we know already where one horcrux is... At the Black house. And Nagini, wont be hard to locate since she's always by Voldemort side[who might be a challange], but hard to take care of. I think once the puzzle is put together, the rest will fall with it. But with Hogwarts out of the way... this should be easy. ;_;
I still cannot believe Harry might not go to hogwarts. I believe he will need too, just not study as hard. Especially if he has no future to work for... *sigh*
I am still so over whelmed by this book, I cannot even write down my feeling.
