Dues
Name:
James KellerNickname(s): Jamie, Granny
Gender:Female
Age: 15
Hair: White, cut relatively short, like a boy's
--Short hair is convenient and cannot be pulled as easily
Eyes: Red
Height: 5'8"
Style-sense: Casual, likes to layer her clothes. Avoids skirts, dresses, and feminine articles of clothing in general, but jeans are jeans. Favorite colors are white and red. (...)
--feminine clothing is embarassing because it belongs on girls more good-looking
-->as Jamie is relatively tall, has not much of a figure, and does not dress like a girl, she can often be mistaken for a boy at first glance
Personality: Jamie is a generally good and friendly person. She tends to be impulsive and her temper definately isn't saint-like, but she cools down easily. Jamie is also rather open-minded and takes things very well. Due to the combo of her name, general appearace, (and later, her overall tomboyish behavior) she has been the target of much teasing, resulting in a thick skin and a certain amount of tolerance for barbs and insults.
Likes: Video games, books in general, martial arts, Shaolin Soccer and Kung Fu Hustle, sitting on the floor, high places
Finds funny: Realizing someone thinks she's a boy and seeing their face when they find out she's not
Dislikes: Bullying, gum, small spaces, make-up/perfume/cosmetics in general
--gum + hair = not fun
--dislikes make-up because it's fussy and when she was small, she found that lipstick tasted bad. She dislikes perfume because it gets really strong and smelly and makes her cough.
Wary of: Churches, religion in general
--Red eyes = association with demons and the devil = spooked-out- church-goers etc, etc
Trivia:
-she carries sunglasses on her at all times, out of habit
-Her mother was dead-set on naming James after James' grandfather when she saw the girl's eye color, because James' grandfather had the exact same eye color. No amount of pleading could get her to change her mind for something more appropriate.
-Jamie's hair was originally black, but turned prematurely white when she was ten. White hair at a young age is a sort of family quirk from her dad's side.
-Her red eyes are also a bit of a genetic hiccup in the family, from her mother's side, but isn't as common.
-In middle school, a girl who thought she was a boy gave her A Very Special And Significant Valentine. There was much awkward.
-The story of her life is boring. There were indeed copious amounts of teasing, harassment, shunning, et cetera, but she had her parents and her good friends to help her get through that, so it wasn't too bad. There were bruises and, once, broken bones, but nothing too angst-inducing.
