Well I (being my loser self XD) have a neopets account, correction had a neopets account.
I went on today and I was frozen, why?
Because I said hole.
HOLE OF ALL WORDS!
You can say damn all you want on neopets, but they ban you if you say the word hole.
GAH!

Neopets drives me ******** insane. The word filtering on the stupid site is absolutely nuts, I swear. I wish that they would put up a system like Gaia's, where you can choose to have different levels of filtering. That would be a lot better than the incessant 'you can't put anything about religion/cursing/million other things' in posts, neomails, or anything else.
I was really into it about two or three years ago, but I've drifted away a lot. It's aimed mainly at kids, and I dislike a lot of patronization they have going on. If I got banned, I would be upset because I put a lot of time into the site a while ago, but I probably wouldn't bother to start over. I mostly go on occasionally to play games, and little else. I'm sorry you got banned. That sucks. Are you going to start over?
Also, you just can't beat Gaia. wink No other site should try... they can't come close!

My favorite and orginal acount got iced. And I aksed for it back several times. Its since been removed from their database..so I can never have it back unless I start from scratch. I gave up on neo when they switched message board formats.
If you want an old account lemme know. I have something like twenty. Some have my screen names, a few are a lil more generic. All are over two years old now I think.

I agree, I like the fact that gaia has optional word filtering.
On neopets, the only thing that you can talk about is... neopets. There are even a few things you can't talk about, like the Symblo hole.
I also hate that neopets is starting to cost for EVERYTHING!
On gaia, at least you can buy the items that you can get with real money,
but on neopets, you either get the 'neocash' or you don't get anything.
I may start again, just because I love my guild on there...
or I may just get them to join gaia twisted

I know. Sending one neomail, I get the 'you have to change your message' note about a dozen times. It gets to the point where I just don't want to bother sending my message!
One thing that always annoyed the hell out of me about neopets is that you can't give away neopoints. You have to use the actual trades for it (not like Gaia trades at all). It was so frustrating. If I wanted to give my friend neopoints for something, I had to either buy the item for her and send it, or get her to set up a trade with a stupid little item that she would accept for however many neopoints I wanted to give.

I never bothered to make another account there - mostly for that reason. It was totally pointless to me to make a second account if you weren't allowed to do anything with it. I think that's partly why it took me so long to make a mule on Gaia. I mean, I find Gaia is more sensible about it. You know people are going to make secondary accounts whether you allow them to or not - so you might as well just let them.

LOL Of course. I forget which guild I even tried to join. I suspect I wouldn't have been very involved in it, anyway! I believe I mainly joined to figure out how to get to Jelly World (worse kept secret ever, sheesh).
That annoys me too. When I joined, the username I always use (Sailor_Chibi) was taken. Since I was into an anime show at the time, I used a name that I wish I hadn't used. I have another name variation now that I am known as at a few locations, and a third one to fall back on during the rare occasions the first two are taken. I don't understand why you can't change your username!
Of course Gaia is better. You should convince them to convert.

I have two neopets accounts. I don't follow the "You can't have money on both accounts rule" The only reason I stay on neopets is because on the beauty contest and some of the nice people you meet there, but the BC is still really messed up because great artists lose to MS paint scribbles.
