You won't have eyes tonight. You won't have ears or a tongue; you will wander the underworld blind, deaf and dumb... I'm celebrating Christmas, because Christmas is about Santa and getting presents and not Jesus. ...and all the dead will know: this is Hector, fool who thought he killed Achilles.

I just celebrate Christmas, since I grew up on it. I've had some say to me, "But why? It doesn't hold meaning to you if you're atheist." On the contrary. You know that feeling you get when you're relaxing on the couch with someone you love, and you're both enjoying your respective presents, with a fire blazing in front of you? That feeling doesn't have a name that can do it justice, but it's the true meaning of Christmas.

I never cared that much for Christmas. Except maybe for those 3 or 4 years where i could express excitement from finding previously non-existent gifts existing in the living room. Other than those years, it's just another day for me.
But it would be kinda silly to celebrate atheistmas on december... why not during that "holy" week? I think it would be more inflamatory. x)P

I know, I love Christmas, not because it's the misplaced birthday of a nonexistent man who's probably just a mix of a bunch of people, but because of the feeling of love. I can't wait until I have a boyfriend or girlfriend and I can spend Christmas with him/her.

I disagree with the idea that there was no historical Jesus. There were a lot of people back then who claimed to be the messiah. It's not hard to imagine one guy whose memes took out all the others'.

I celebrate Christmas only because I grew up on it. I celebrate no religious aspects of it, I use it to spend time with my loved ones.
Also, Jesus' real birthday is unknown, the Church decided to cement the date on the 25th.

My mother is convinced it's sometime in January since the calanders are different and other s**t she rambled once on a long car trip.
My mother is made of awesome.
