I am 14 and I was a bit late for watching the alien and predator movies, but I was lucky enough to watch AVP, although I would prefer Alien, Aliens,Predator, and Predator2.

I read somewhere that the alien that stabbed the predator and raised it up with its tail was called the Alpha Alien, but Paul Anderson named it Grid Alien because when the other predator used his net gun to capture it and then the marks from the net were carved in the Grid Alien's head.

Another reason why that alien was the Alpha Alien is because it was smarter and it had a massive tail. I think it was smarter than the rest of the aliens is because It dodged the blast from the pred's shoulder cannons(I think that's how you say it)

For the rest of the aliens, their heads were way curvier than the original aliens, walked on all fours, and were acting like crazy. The queen was way too big compared to the queen in Aliens, wasn't too smart(I think, I read this somewhere too), and I had no idea how the queen would have survived the predator's bomb. Don't forget about the chestbursters, they came out too early compared to the movie Alien, it took a few days, but the AVP one, it took like about a few minutes.

The predators were too bulky, you are right, their wrist blades were increased by 3ft, had too much armor(it cover both sides of the ribs, in Predator, it only covered one side), the predator in AVP shouldn't have seen the queen when he took off his helmet because in the movie Predator, he took off the mask and had heat vision. The aliens do not emit heat.

Their discs weren't hi-tech like the one in Predator2, but it wasn't that bad. Also, when they use their cloaks, their eyes don't glow.

You are right, Pyro. There are too many differences that you can spot and it is too much to name them all. gonk

oh..one thing I want to mention for the Yaujta's armor.. in a sense..they were both over dressed, and under-dressed. For an ooman hunt, they were over dressed. (basically what we see in the old movies..because they were always on a ooman hunt in those) and the armor they wore were just too bulky. the design for the armor was like they took the old stuff...and then made it all 3 inches thicker. It made it harder for them to move. Just think.... my image of the yautja ( on any sort of hunt...except a Queen Kidnapping) is a hunter stalking it's prey. Try crouching in that armor. XD But for a blooding hunt..they were poorly under dressed. You said that you have a copy of the orginal AVP (which number.. we don't know) Take a close look at what most of the yautja are wearing (you may have one of the later volumes which would make it hard to see it...since we basically just have Dashande actually..he better equips himself after he finishes off... Tichinde)
So, the preds wear a lot more armor on blooding hunts and possibly Queen Kidnapping hunts... (looks) yeah. Even when huntling both they were properly equipped.

According tp paul's story.. the preds come (after they have become hunters. They're no longer young bloods) to get the xenos for another right of passage. That's off. Also, he mocked up that the Xenos are the ultimate prey when in several stories they think oomans are better. Like only experienced yautja may take a trip alone to stalk us. In War.. this is a bit different but they also got to have the fun and chaos of having the Xenos mixed in the bunch. ^^

Oh, in this movie...they really had the yautja doing really stupid things. Watch it and count how many times they let themselves be easily seen by the humans. They were clumsy and very unaware of their surroundings. Geh... and the technoligy of thier masks were odd. yes. The other vision which enables them to see the Xenos...have you seen that anywhere else? o.0. Hmm....

( I should have mentioned this. I haven't played any of the games...whatsoever. So I'm not sure what the Gro'tye are...and I couldn't find a picture. )

Yes..the Aliens Queen would have beaten the AVP Queen....... I dont quite get it.... why did he make her so aggressive? What am I saying?! He did it to get a slightly better ending ( to the non-geek audience) for that movie..... ggrrr..... She was bigger too......

Well.... Both Queens played thier roles to thier brood in both movies..that part is right. The Queen (AVP) did show her power of command twice in the movie. 1. she called them back right..... before Lex met up with the Pred... (why bother remembering the ordering? xd )
and 2, She was the one who told them to bite her and such to break her free of her restraints. But that was bogus..... the preds wouldn't go freezing a Queen... Xeno's can't be frozen... I take that back...no I don't (will go over this later) Anyway...one thing's for sure, the preds know that anything they use that will involve Xenos....will be acid proof....which Paul forgot COMPLETELY.

I don't know anything about the Gro'tye...but according to some books...ok..maybe just the ones by SD Perry... (although..I haven't seen anything she's put down be corrected by any fans) the oomans were the best..or at least....very close to the top.

yeah....the Preds were just stupid... stare in everyway.. "oh, hey. ^^ I'm gonna let you follow me just because you managed to pick up my spear before the Hard meat got you. ^^"

Yeah..I finally saw ressurection today...what a bad movie. ><
I think that Alien 3 was pretty good. It gave up some good imformation on the Queen and behavior towards a future queen. ^^

Alien and Aliens are very good, and so are the pred movies. ^^
