Paestri had discovered the wonders of the mall. It was not so much as the sheer volume of things for sale or the variety of products. No, the mall was a literal smorgasboard of Intangibles she could summon and use. Too bad she had forgotten to bring her jars.

Malady frowned and stayed nestled inside Paestri's blouse, its face sticking out like a wispy decal. It didn't like how interested Paestri was with all these people, mainly because it didn't know any of them and even if it did, the Intangible had made its mind up that it wouldn't like anyone. "I wanna leave."

Paestri ignored it, and instead went into a bakeshop. A smile plastered on her face, she took out from her pocket some money to buy an eclair. Receiving the treat, she skipped to the last empty table and sat down to enjoy the sweet.

"Cookie! Cookie! Cookie!" Guin chanted as she bounced alongside her mother, holding the woman's hand as they walked through the mall. She liked this place! There was so much to ask for! Crescentia did seem a teeny bit uncomfortable though. In her excitement Guin was forgetting mommy was uncomfortable in closed spaces.

The smell of cookies attracted both of them to the shop, the 'No shoes no service' sign went completely ignored by the barefoot gypsy. Guin sort of lost interest in the cookies, however, when she spotted a dark girl with pink hair. Whooooa! "...Pinky!" She squealed, letting go of Crescentia's hand while the woman bought their treats and toddling over to where Pae was sitting. "Hiiii Pinkyyyyy!"

Paestri blink in mid-bite as a little girl ran up to her calling her "Pinky" of all things. She smiled and waved at Guin, "Hello small person." She responded, icing-pink eyes glittering in delight. She liked kids, her niece was a darling little tomboy and she recalled Jenevive with fondness.

It was Malady that frowned, hissed and slunk behind Paestri. "Go away. We're busy." It stuck its tongue out at Guin, not realizing that the little girl could see it.

"Be careful, Guin." Crescentia called so the girl could hear her. She'd already had to go through one episode of losing a daughter in the mall! Crescentia didn't want to go through that again. Guinevere nodded to show she was acknowledging Crescentia but her eyes never left Paestri. She was pretty! She looked nice too. She lifted an arm to wave up at her like she was a million miles away, smiling brightly.

What the! Guin jumped a little, losing her balance and landing on her bum when she was hissed at. Wha--who'd said that?! She looked around for a second until she noticed the smoky looking thing. Whoa! What a meanie thing! Guin stuck her bottom lip out in a pout. Busy? They were eating! That's not busy!

Paestri looked towards Crescentia and smiled at the woman, as if showing her she meant Guin no harm. "Are you okay?" she asked the fallen child as she wiped a hand clean on her skirt before reaching out to assist Guin.

Malady narrowed its eyes at the other Legend and slunk up towards Paestri's head. It wrapped around the pink-haired girl's forehead like some makeshift bandana. "I think she can see and hear me." It frowned darkly.

Paestri smiled in delight, "Can you see Malady, little Guin?" She asked.

Guinevere gladly accepted Pinky's help, putting her hands on Paestri's leg to keep herself balanced and standing. This girl was nice, but the smoky thing that kept talking to her and now talking about her was mean! She was standing right here, you know!

The little girl stuck her tongue out at Malady and made a little 'bleeeeeh!' sound. Blinking when Pae asked her a question. Huh? What? See what? Malady? Who was Malady? Must've been that smoky thing that was being mean. Guin blinked again and nodded, furrowing her brow in a 'Duh, of course I can see Malady!' kind of way. How could someone not see a smoky thing floating around a girl?

Paestri giggled gently, softly, like small windchimes. "Well, I guess this means you're like me." Her eyes shone in amusement and delight, it wasn't often she met another Legend, as her mama put it. "Not everyone can see Mal, and that makes you extra special."

Malady sneered and stuck its tongue back out at Guin, such a petty little creature the Intangible was.

Guin blinked. Like her? How could she possibly be like this girl? Firstly, Pinky was clearly older than her. Second, they didn't even look anything alike! Honestly! Everyone in her mommy's family told her she was special, very special, and unique! How could she be like Pae? Her head tilted to the side a little when Pae continued, eyeing Malady carefully. Not everyone could see her? How silly. However, Guin grinned again when she was told she was extra special. Really? That was great! She knew she was special!

"'M Guin." Guin introduced herself even though Pae already knew her name. A proper introduction must always be shared!

The corners of Paestri's eyes crinkled as her smile grew larger, Guin was absolutely adorable. Different from her niece who was a little tomboy who was still a darling in her own right, but she preferred Guin's sort of charm. "Hello Guin, I'm Paestri but you can call me Pae. And this," she gestured to the genderless wisp that now wrapped itself around her neck like a scarf, "Is Malady or Mal."

"Don't tell her my full name!" Malady screeched, its face twisting in anger and frustration. It didn't like anyone, except Paestri though even that seemed questionable at times.

"Pae." Guin pointed to Pae as she tested the name, grinning brightly. She liked Pae! It was easier to say than Paestri! And this girl was nice, she liked it. However, when Malady was introduced she made a slight face, this was the thing who was being mean to her! "Ma'ady." Eh, she'd get better with the name later.

The little girl gasped and jumped a little when Malady suddenly screeched, losing her footing again and falling down on her rump...again. How rude! Why couldn't Guin know Malady's name? She pouted and pushed herself to her feet again, clinging to Pae's skirt to pull herself up and keep herself balanced again. Guin then stuck her tongue out at Malady again.

Paestri didn't seem bothered by Malady's little tantrum nor did she seem concerned when Guin fell. She simply giggled and sliced a small portion of the uneaten part of her eclair and offered it to Guin. "Don't worry, it's a normal eclair and not something I made." She promised. Why Paestri offered it, the pink-haired girl herself didn't know. She didn't feel the need to apologize for Malady's behavior, nor was it meant to mollify the little girl.

Maybe she just wanted Guin to stick around? Though Paestri didn't experience the feelings of loneliness, Malady expressed it for her. Several times in fact and as often as possible.

((OMG I'M SO SLOW AND STUPID! O_O I'm sorryyyyyyy! gonk ))

Guin blinked and took the eclair piece in her hand, looking curiously at it for a moment before looking up at Pae again. A normal eclair? What was an eclair to begin with? She'd never eaten one of these...and why would she worry about something Pae made? Was Pae a bad cook?

The little girl sniffed at it for a moment before licking at some of it. Hm...it tasted good! With a smile and a giggle, Guin stuffed the rest of it in her mouth. Yummy! She wanted more! Hopefully her mommy got some of this before they left! Guin hugged Pae's leg in thanks.
