It was pointless to complain. Aricin was going to Noire’s house for dinner whether he liked it or not. Sure he could complain and yell but that was just way too much effort. Besides, a strong leader such as himself shouldn’t let something this trivial get to him. He would just have to deal with it… and hope Val didn’t turn it into a bloodbath.
The maniac named Val was currently staring out of the car window, not entirely aware of where he was going and not listening to anything that Aaron was prattling on about. This was just another outing that his red haired acquaintance dragged him out to on occasion, usually to sign some form or another or escape from some overly suspicious neighbour.
“I wonder what Noire’s parents will be like. I bet they’ll be nice. She’s a cute little thing isn’t she?” Aaron prattled happily, a bowl of salad balanced precariously in his lap. It was his offering for dinnertime sharing and involved a lot of onion, tomato and carrot. A ‘traditional family recipe’ he called it. “Afterwards I was thinking we could stop by the shops, I’d like to pick up a few things. Can we Val? Yo, Val? Earth to Val?”
“Do whatever you like.” Val scratched his cheek, still staring out the window. Oh, so they were going to dinner. Very well. The food had better be nice.
Around that time they turned into the right street and parked outside Noire’s house. Aaron straightened his clothes, Aricin yawned and Val swore after realizing he’d left his favourite knife at home. Then they all headed up to the door and knocked.

The beyond 'fixer-upper' on the corner was at least spacious and offered a charming bit of secrecy under the happy willows and gothic, aged houses on the rest of the street. Mostly claimed by aging couples, the arrival of the rockstars rippled life into the local community. 'Life,' as it would be called, had brought a lot of 'for sale' signs to the neighbor's front lawns.
The music could be heard at the end of the street, and by the time someone reached the front door it was blowing out the open windows in a very catchy, hard rock rhythm that, upon any close observation, was not played by a stereo but rather by the authentic instruments. The door poped open suddenly, a happy smiling little girl tugging on her 'big-little' brother's arm to greet their guests. Dressed in a black and pale pink dress (her favorite) with a large punk rock black spotted bow in her hair, Noire grinned ear to ear and tugged on her brother a little more.
"DADDY AARON!" She squealed, jumping up and down. "This is my brother Harper! Harper! Harper say hi!"
"Hi!" Harper obliged, grinning at Aricin. "So that's your boyfriend."
"Uh huh! Uh huh! COME IN! DADDDYYYY THEY'RE HEREEEE!" Whirling aruond, abandoning the guests to the door way with brother Harper, Noire ran inside.
The first room was large but seemed to be aged and untaken care of. Whatever 'renovations' or 'cleaning up' that needed to be done when the house was bought was clearly pushed aside. However, in the corner of the room, a drum set, bass and guitar amp, and various other large black music making boxes littered the otherwise empty room. Playing his drums obliviously, a skinny black mohawked man in tight purple pleather beat away to accompany the buzzed-headed dark haired Eliot whirling around the bass. Open chested black leather jacket and a multitude of piercings and tattoos, not to mention the obvious flouncy jutter to his performance, Eliot was clearly the more... 'indulgent' star of their little family.
Soon, however, Noire ran back into the main large room pulling a red haired man with her. Dark skin and gray-green eyes, Sunny's dyed rose red hair, asian vest and disturbingly tight rockstar jeans questioned first his gender until his muscles and face could be more clearly seen. Then, to throw it all further out of whack, the man shyed away instantly - "Oh, ah, hello.. nice to..yeah.. foods over here." He waved and turned, pulling Noire back where they had came, which happened to be the kitchen.

Aaron grinned at Noire as she appeared at the door, reaching out to ruffle her hair affectionately. His grin widened as he greeted the one called Harper as well. “I’m Aaron.”
Aricin wasn’t sure if he wanted to earth to open up beneath him or not. He blinked a few times, opened his month a bit in order to protest and then eventually just stood there until he felt someone give his back a push. Looking up he met Val’s dark inquiring gaze. Val quirked an eyebrow before giving Ari a big push, nearly sending the boy sprawling on the doorstep.
“Hey!”
Val ignored the indignant shout and swept inside, casting a look around. His eyes were calculating as he looked at each person in turn and contents of the house. After a moment or two he deemed it all acceptable and moved on to another room to inspect further. Since arriving he hadn’t said a word.
Aaron watched his ‘friend’ stride off and then shrugged, hurrying over to meet the man Noire had brought over. Ignoring the obvious shy nature the guy seemed to have he quickly invaded personal space. “Woowie, this is a nice house you have here.” He said, that odd grin still on his face. “My name’s Aaron. You can just call me Aaron… not Ron, I hate that name. The other guy is Val, he’d just checking the house for escape routes and dark corners to hide bodies in or something, anyway-”
“So what’s for dinner?” Aricin interrupted, coming up behind them.

Harper blinked, "Hiya Aaron." He said politely, closing the door when everyone was herded inside. He kept a grin on Aricin, finding something very funny quite obviously, and he'd probably not keep it to himself for very long. "That's Solo and Eliot!" He called behind them, pointing at the two men playing their instruments who chose to ignore everything else still.
Harper gave Val an odd look, and took a few steps after him when he entered the 'living room.' A look to his sister and a quick 'don't do it, im serious!' look on her face, and he decided to follow Aricin instead.
The living room was much messier than the main room; empty chip bags, beer cans, a huge comfortable gutted sofa and every gaming console known to man set around a large screen tv. Obviously the crashing pit of the house.
When this 'Aaron' decided to get so close Sunny stopped dead in his tracks and shuffled up his shoulders, "Uh, yeah, uh, too close dude." He said pathetically, skipping ahead to try and get away as he opened the kitchen door. "I'm..." he gave a reluctant sigh, "Sunny. My sister, Ashley." He said, motioning to a woman of identicle skin tone in the corner of the relatively clean kitchen. Red, white and orange hair pulled in three color coordinated ponytails and neon purple eyes, the scantily clad woman was leaning over a beer swung between two fingers. "Hellow!" She chirped with an uncoordinated grin. "I'm Ashley, Harper's mum! Noire's auntie, isn't that right baby cakes?" She shook her head and went back to her beer.
"Thanks." Sunny declared, moving to take Aaron's salad. "Dinner's ..uh..this stuff." Coughing, he pushed a take-out bag into a shelf quickly and pointed at some pasta. "I ..well, you know.."
"Daddy doesn't get to cook that much, we usually just eat pizza and uncle Eliot say's he uses all his gayness on his makeup that he can't cook good." Noire informed happily. No idea what she was saying. Nobody likely would. Smiling at Aricin, Noire promptly went to hold his hand as any proper girlfriend should while beaming proudly that he was in her home. "Val won't kill Piper, will he? That's our dog!"

“Nice to meet you all.” Aaron was extremely excited about this outing. It wasn’t everyday they went out to dinner and met people. In fact, it had happened approximately once during since he had first become attached to Valkier. And that certainly hadn’t ended well. In fact, it was something he would prefer to forget.
“Oh, pizza for dinner. Great!” His enthusiasm wasn’t matched by Aricin, who had eaten pizza just the night before and some more for breakfast that morning and really wasn’t in the mood for anymore. Couldn’t anyone be bothered cooking? At that moment Ari made a mental note to learn how to cook, and well, once he was older.
Then Noire was there. He glanced down at their conjoined hands and then sighed, deciding to bear it with good will. “I asked him to behave. But I can’t promise anything. You’ll have to ask Aaron.”
“Don’t worry. The dog is safe! Val’s in a good mood.” Aaron chirruped, moving a step closer to Sunny again. Since he was fairly sure this guy wasn’t a homicidal maniac he had no problem getting as close as possible, despite him obviously not liking having someone practically stepping on his toes.
Val ghosted through the kitchen, ignoring everyone in it before disappearing out the door and up the stairs.

Noire shook her head, "Not this time, silly! We are having pasta from a shop where Solo knows the lady and stuffs." She nodded, and pulled Aricin to the table in the kitchen. "Sit!" She commanded, letting him go, while pointing. "I'll get your food!" She offered happily, running over to Sunny.
Sunny, meanwhile, had gasped in a breath and seemed to be refusing to breath until Aaron moved away. "I.. You.. Too..cl.. ASHLEY!" Sunny cried, as his sister snapped to attention and in one fiercely powerful swipe of feminine... power she moved to grab Aaron and pull him away from her brother.
"He doesn' like to be touched, darling. Keep it up and I'll get the gun, yeah?" She winked, and looked at Aricin, squinting a moment. "Oh, so your the little boy Noire's trying to poison."
"Auntie!" Noire cried, while bringing Aricin a plate of pasta. "That isn't true, boyfriend."
"I'm hungry too, Noire!" Harper chirped, sitting next to Aricin.
"So?" Noire blinked.
"An...I.." Sunny took a deep breath, and tried to act as though nothing had happened. "So what do you do for a living, ...Aaron?" Yeah, nice question Sunny.

Aricin felt like some poor dog being led around by a leash. He obediently tagged along, knowing that if he complained at all he would be subjected to an angry and pouting Noire. Well, at least he wasn’t eating pizza again.
“Oh righto.” Aaron peered at Ashley after he was rather roughly pushed away from Sunny’s side, looking quite excited. “Ah, so you’re the crazy one in the family. Alright! And a gun too! Wow, I usually get threatened with knives, and once with a hairdryer… he was either going to electrocute me or bash my head in with it.” He was almost tempted to grab Sunny in a bear hug. Being threatened happened daily for him.
“Poi-son?” And boyfriend. Ugh. Where had the so-called leader gone? The first time he’d met her he had laughed in her face when she’d called herself his queen and here he was not making a peep and consenting to anything she asked. Oh, he really needed a good, long sleep. If he were lucky he would grow a backbone during it.
He looked down at the pasta before twirling a little around his fork and taking a bite. It wasn’t that bad. It was better than what he’d had for lunch anyway. The next doors family goldfish could not be considered a real meal, especially when it looked exactly like it had when it had been plucked from the water.
Still… it had been eat or have Val stick it down your throat. He didn’t like having his cooking insulted.
“Vaaal, did you want something to eat?” Aaron shouted to empty air. When there was no immediate answer he turned back to Sunny, making sure to keep at least three feet between them. Then the question the other man asked had him immediately stumped.
“You mean… a job? I er… do a little of this and that. I run errands and um… other – wow, that is some good looking pasta. VAL, THERE’S PASTA HERE! ARICIN’S ALREADY EATING IT AND IT’S SAAAFE!”
Prompted by Aaron’s annoying calls Val entered the kitchen again and wandered over to where the pasta was sitting in all its glory. He sniffed at it, glared at it dubiously and then had a look at Aricin’s plate. At that moment he noticed Noire, apparently for the first time since they had arrived.
“Ah, it’s you. I don’t like you.” He said calmly while reaching over to grab Ari’s plate with one long finger, slowly pulling it over to his side of the table. “Aaron, fork.”
“Righto. Hey Sunny, where do you keep the forks?”
“That was mine you know.” Aricin muttered, looking rather bored. He waved the fork he was still holding around a little and then settled for stabbing at the table with it. Well, looked like his job was official poison checker now. Great.

Noire came to a seat on Aricin's other side, looking over at her brother who had been staring at Val ever since he came out.
"He smells funny." Harper mumbled, though if he was making it up or it was an actual observation was yet to be seen.
"He looks funny, too." Noire mumbled, crossing her arms. When Aricin's plate was stolen she slammed her little hands on the table with a thud, "THAT WAS HIS!"
Harper giggled.
"Give it BA-.. I DON'T LIKE YOU EITHER, UGLY FACE!"
Sunny nodded at Aaron, opening up a cabinent that to his displeasure was bare save for only a few plastic bags and 'mysterious' white dust in it. "Uh!" He slammed it shut, "Plastic somethings are in that one!" He pointed at another drawer full of plastic what-not eating tools.
Then he heard Val's comment on his daughter and his uncomfortable fidgetyness mixed with indignation. "You don't like my daughter?" He asked, a bit more clearly than his speaking had been before. Well. He never. Dislike his daughter?!
Ashley snorted and helped herself to sitting on the counter top. "Ooooh, Sunny's gonna get in a fiiiiight, ELIOT GET IN HERE SUNNY'S GONNA DIEEEE!"
"WUT?!" Came from the main room, as the musicians stopped playing.
"No no! I was just.. curious as to.. why........ we should .. 'make' this pasta more often, yeah.." He thumbed at some of the pasta himself, passing his daughter a glance when she gave an indignant huff, "Stupid useless wimp of a dad. Aricin will defend my honor!" She proposed, glancing back to Aricin.

“Ugly face?” Val looked up with a smirk. He didn’t look far away anymore, apparently having landed back to earth after having his mind flying around in whatever fantasy world it visited. “Is that the best you can do?” His gaze slid to Harper, giving the boy one quick calculating look. Not worth his time that one.
He craned his head over his shoulder to stare at Sunny as the other man spoke. “No, I don’t. She’s loud. She annoys me.” He took the plastic fork Aaron was holding out to him. Turning back to food he gave Noire a smile that was deliberately meant to enrage her as he began twirling the pasta around his fork.
Aaron was jumping from one foot to the other. Val had just landed in one of his more lucid moments. Great. Normally he was dangerous but tended to loose track of what he was doing easily and would sit for hours confused be the simplest of things. But when he was like this, things could get nasty very quickly.
Aricin stopped staring at the table and blinked a couple of time. “What? Ha!” He snorted in laughter, leaning back in his chair. Shaking his head he looked over at Val who was taking a careful bite of his food. “I don’t think so.” He leant over to whisper in her ear. “Last time I saw him like this he ruined the successful business of the man across the street and then poisoned the guys dogs. Apparently Mike came over to ask about the power being out and mentioned Val’s hair needed a wash.” Aricin shrugged. “You defend your own honour.”

Noire puffed up, cheeks, chest, and somehow, hair at the same time. She stepped up on the tips of her toes and seemed to get only redder when Aricin suggested she defend her own honor.
"No, I can do better - I can do a lot better, you stinky excuse for a devolved monkey's as-"
"NOIRE!" Sunny gasped, throwing a hand over his mouth.
Noire raised a hand up and conjured up not one, but three sparkly little balls of black, tossing Aricin a glance that suggested one was for him.
"Cover!!" Harper screamed, throwing himself under the table.
"Aww, I liked that table.." Ashley pouted, putting her hands over her ears as if preparing for an explosion.
Before any more could ensue Sunny came flying across the kitchen;tackling his daughter to the floor.
"Homicidle little princess, ain't she?" Eliot asked from the doorway, before puffing his chest out. "Yo! I'm Eliot! Hows the food? It ain't bleedin' and isn' served by a half naked woman so I don't think it'll be that- Ashley! Naked! Now!"
And thusly a nearly empty beer bottle was thrown across the room at Eliot's head to further ensue the chaos.

“Oh…” Aaron was looking vaguely puzzled by the whole exchange, his head tilted slightly to the side. Little Noire really was a firecracker. Oh dear. Following Harper’s example he also dived under the table in hope that it would somehow protect him from the massacre that was surely about to begin.
Despite having at least two balls of anti-matter aimed directly at him, Val didn’t even look at Noire. He calmly kept eating his foot, picking little bits out now and then. There was certainly no danger to his health at all, as far as he was concerned. All was well.
Aricin meanwhile had stood up and taken a step back, a frown on his face as he gathered his electricity into a crackling shield. So, time for another battle was it? But Sunny quickly ended any hope of that happening when he tackled Noire to the ground. A funny sight really.
Ari began laughing. Aaron reappeared from under the table as if nothing had happened. Val swallowed another mouthful of pasta.
Madness.

Clammoring to his feet and quickly checking over his person for any anti-matter holes, Sunny gave a huff and blew air up into the bangs covering most of his face; breifly revealing a scowl.
"I've told you Noire, you keep this up and we won't have a house - world to live in!" He scolded, clearly trying to be mature despite still clearly feeling like yelling. Before Noire stood up, he reached down and pulled her into his arms in an over-the-shoulder fashion.
"I'm locking you in your room. Say bye." Sunny said, as he marched off.
"What? NO! NOOOO! HARPER! NOOO!" Noire squealed, kicking and flailing like mad until she disappeared out of the kitchen.
Harper had his hands over his mouth, trying to keep his sister from seeing him snicker. When she was gone, he passed a look to Aricin and shook his head stupidly, "Wow." He said, finding something unbelievable.
Eliot, meanwhile, had lurked over to the food and was picking at it. "Well, now that the kids are gone-" He paused, looking back at the two boys. "Go away!" He commanded.
"Anyone want anything to drink?" Ashley asked from the fridge. "Beer? Vodka? A beer full of Vodka?"
