Anyone have any particularly favorite Gods, Goddesses, or mythological stories related? Share them here!
www.godchecker.com - Is a site I've had in my bookmarks for a while which I find fun to browse whenever I remember it. I may have gotten from someone in this guild, I don't remember. But it's got a lot of interesting information on all sorts of mythologies [or lack thereof, if you're a believer].

There's that hot feeling in the face I get whenever I make a mistake. Dammit, I really hate that feeling. I wouldn't voluntarily provide corruption...

[BlkCat] Sub, that site has A LOT of screwed up info on it. You won't have eyes tonight. You won't have ears or a tongue; you will wander the underworld blind, deaf and dumb... Like what? ...and all the dead will know: this is Hector, fool who thought he killed Achilles.

Like what? ...and all the dead will know: this is Hector, fool who thought he killed Achilles. I'll list the stuff thats bullshit in just a couple of the entries. Bast: Quote: There's a tendency nowadays to regard BAST as the Goddess of Sex and Lesbians, but that has more to do with modern sex-kittens. Goddess of Fertility, Sensuality and Fire Prevention. Was a very useful Goddess who performed a vital public service. In the event of fire, her cat servants would run into the flames to draw out the power. These were the original fire extinguishers. Seriously, who's a** are they pulling this s**t out from? Maahes: Quote: MAHES: God of Summer Heat.

Yay ontopicness. My favorite gods: LUMINOR, of course. Needs no explanation. And if you want one, too bad, when the time is right.
Odin for being awesome, sacrificing a lot of himself for magick, among other things. I was really into the Norse pantheon for a little while, but it was mostly idle readings.
YHWH. LOL, yes, le JHVH himself. I used to be a christian [ha, spell check wants me to capitalize christian] zealot, after all, but I mostly am amused by his stereotypical abusive father aspects. Hmm, now that I think about it, how much of YHWH's "actual words" were in the New Testament? Ah well, I digress.
The Greek gods, for being captivating. The interesting thing about them was how human their behavior was. Really wish I could get around to reading the Iliad and the Odyssey, as well.
Nothing else comes to mind right now!

To be honest, I only looked at the description of Loki, said "yeah that's pretty good" and left it at that. But yeah, your example shows their information is lacking. ...and all the dead will know: this is Hector, fool who thought he killed Achilles.

Two things -
One, I think it's amazing that I knew the OP would be Subrosian purely by the subject, and
Two, I had my doubts about Godchecker, but everyone I talked to about it seemed to be really supportive of it. Thank various gods that I'm not the only one who finds it iffy. D:

I like the Japanese pantheon as well as several Hindu gods. They're a quirky bunch...some are scary mofos and others are just...different.

A God of War fan, I presume? I like to mock Gaia's voice. Not because I don't like her, but because it's fun. Except when I tried to do it yesterday, my vocal cords yelled at me because I have a cold. So it kind of came out as a raspy gurgling sound. It flipped my friend, out. "What the hell was that? Are you ok?" "Yeah, I was...nevermind. I was clearing my throat."
My body hates me.
Once again, I have nothing useful to contribute to the topic at hand. But that's ok.
