Wow guys. I am in love with HMV. Really and truly. ******** boys, music stores is where it's at. ;D haha. ...Or maybe the boys that make the glorious music. @___@

I really can't download anymore (my computer probably needs to be reformatted and I'm delaying that as long as possible since I don't know how to go about it...) so I'm gonna go support my favourite artists with my monies. xd Y'know, that buying the album concept haha. I would have done that in Terrace, but there are really no music stores there. Walmart sadly has the largest music selection, consisting of mostly top 40 hits and soundtracks. I didn't do much ordering of cds because that required a credit card. D:

ANYWAYS. I bought Devendra Banhart's "Smokey Rolls Down Thunder Canyon". It's psychedelic folk music and he's kind of gone for more of spanish feel on this album. A lot more rock-y too. :3

My favourite actor (Gael Garcia Bernal) lends his vocals to the first song on there. heart The production of it was very communal, with tons of Devendra's friends helping out by singing, playing random instruments and whatnot. It's really great. =D

Also, when I got to the HMV I discovered that Iron & Wine had a new album out too! It's called "The Shepard's Dog". I had heard of it ages ago, but didn't know when it was gonna be out or whatnot. As soon as I saw it though I was pretty much set on buying it, but I checked it out in the listening booth too. @___@ Sooooo great. Much more beat-focused, than on Sam Beam's whisper voice but soooo good. (wow I ramble on XD)

Have you seen the video for it? I'm not really a fan of the single, but uh the super-duper cheapo vid didn't really help it.

I've been without internet for quite a while, but now that you mention it, I acutally downloaded one of Devendra Banhart's albums on reccomendation by a stranger just before I disconnected from my previous internet connection, and have yet to listen to it. I'll have to check it out.
