I noticed people who support Cloud with Tifa seem to support Zack with Aeris, (got to keep the competition busy, I guess). So I was actually curious what people here thought of it.

Me? I think it's cute, but that's about the extent of it. Nothing special, just teens falling in love for the first time. It makes me think of kittens and pink bubbly anime backgrounds but after all that has happen I don't see it working. sad

They had a relationship that ended. Zack wound up dying and Aeris may or may not have known it. Aeris met and immediately got a crush on Cloud. Before any sort of romantic relationship could occur, she died. Now Zack and Aeris are both in the lifestream. It's not too much of a stretch to think that they might get involved again. xd

Not that I'm arguing facts (I understand that Aeris said that she loved Cloud more than Zack), but if she's dead and Cloud and Tifa start dating and possibly get married then she has two choices:

1) Rekindle the old embers of a past relationship.
2) Stay single.

Either one of those is as probable of occuring as the other. In my opinion anyway.

Actually, there's a third choice that's not quite as probable as the others:

3) Get into a relationship with somebody else in the lifestream that she did not previously know.

Hey, it's not likely but that doesn't mean it's impossible. 3nodding

I know, right. I at least wish they had a better reunion than the whole "You're dead too, huh?" scenario. Or at least have Aeris realize that Zack wasn't the player she thought he was. Oh well. Maybe if he had live things would have been different. >_<

I completely and totaly support Zeris. I HATE the idea of her being with Cloud. Just the thaught of it just makes me want to, well you know.
I thaught Zack was just better for her. And, like you guys said, that way Cloud is free to be with Tifa, as it should be.
Annother reason is... well, to be blunt, they are both dead. I cant think of any more perfect reason than that. I mean, it just shouts that they are ment to be.
Also... Zack was my favorite Final Fantasy character. I've always hated Cloud... loved Tifa, but absolutely despised Cloud. I always thaught of him as a personality theif. *shrug*
I mean, at least Zack was original. I think that the only reason Aerith was ever actualy interested in Cloud in the first place was because Cloud reminded her to Zack, where as Tifa liked him for who he was. Aeriths affection for Cloud was more, I think, just curiosity. She just wanted to understand how the two could possibly be so similar. Honestly, i think she always had feelings for Zack, even when he never returned. When she found out that Zacks family hadnt heard from him in a long time, she got really worried.
Well, at least thats what I got out of the game. I dont know.

I guess I support it purly because it is cannon, at least in the Crisis Core setting. And, yeah, there it was cute ^^ When it gets to FFVII, however, I think that, even though Zax is gone (T.T), Aeris was rather bitchy about the whole thing, which kinda ruined my support over it T.T

I read in an interview today on CC and it said that Aeris makes a comment somewhere that Zack has more than one girlfriend. (Like Cissenei) I suppose she's a bit mistrusting of him.....which would have led her to believe that he went off with some chick. Still.....in CC, they make it like they have this true, pure love yet in FFVII, it shows the inconsistency. Aeris actually believes that Zack went off with someone, not dead and yet in CC it seems like she trusts him completely, made promises with him, waited for him. Ain't that good enough to believe that he wouldn't betray her? Eh.

What I see wrong with Zeris, is WTF are the creators trying to say?

Twins post about CC and such, only made me more confused as to how Aeris really feels. D:

It almost seems like a teen realationship, now that you mention it. An "on and off" love. XD Perhaps.
