Konoka Konoe
Birthday: 18 March 1989.
The 13th student in Japanese alphabetical order of class 2/3-A, she is the cheerful, helpful and slightly dizzy roommate of Asuna Kagurazaka (and likewise her teacher Negi Springfield). From birth, Konoka was tied to several powerful magical organizations (her father was a member of Nagi Springfield's "Crimson Wings" for a period, her grandfather is the dean of Mahora Academy), yet she was sent away kept in the dark about her heritage of magic. Only after a trip to her home in Kyoto does Konoka finally discover the power locked away and allies with Negi in order to release it to her fullest potential. She is also extremely notable for a close relationship with her classmate/guardian Setsuna Sakurazaki. (*wink wink* xp )

Setsuna Sakurazaki
Birthday: 17 January 1989
A native of Kyoto, Setsuna is a childhood friend of Konoka and serves as her guardian. Although extremely devoted to Konoka, Setsuna feels unworthy of protecting her, and tries to maintain an atmosphere of impersonality.
Setsuna is also a winged hanyō: the daughter of a human and a crow yōkai. A form of albinism compounds her mixed heritage. Viewed as an omen of ill luck, Setsuna was forced into exile from her tribe. Fearful Konoka will dislike her yōkai blood; Setsuna kept her identity a secret. However, she is forced to reveal her secret during the Kyoto story arc, but Konoka still accepted her and their relationship improved. (Hopefully into more.. smile )
She was the third person to form a probationary contract with Negi. Her artifact manifests as a tanto, and her pactio can create sixteen identical blades, which she can use to seal opponents. Setsuna is reserved and loyal, and holds the title of most skilled fighter in Mahora Academy.
