- Breeding ..... will always be open for those who RP, and there will now be limited slots for non-RP couples. Couples that RP will have benefits over those that do not, including a higher number of possible offspring, and bonus offspring for a certain number of extra RP's. There will also be unlimited RP-breeding slots unless the colorist says that their slots are closed.
When you're ready for your Totem to breed or be bred fill out the form in the second post and post it here in this thread. I'll look it over for completion and do the rollings. Once rolled you'll be added to the list and PM'ed. Send the trade once you know how many offspring you'll be having. More details can be found below!
[ Tahja's Breeding Rules ]
- Receiving: I will always PM the offspring to both parents. As a general rule, please wait until you're sure you've both seen the pups/cubs before sharing with the rest of the shop, unless you have both already agreed that doing so is fine. Also, do not cheat your breeding partner, or apply for breedings without both sides' permission. There will be consequences if this rule is broken.
Payment: Trades/Payment is to be sent immediately upon receiving the number of offspring. If payment is not received within three days of rollings the breeding will be considered canceled, so if you are unable to be online try to make arrangements to have payment made.
- Note: Payment should come from ONE source, two at the most. How you divide it amongst owners is up to you.
Family Tree: Throwbacks will be decided randomly, sometimes by dice roll, sometimes by whim. You may request throwbacks, but it isn't a guarantee that you'll get them. If you say "No" to throwbacks then the offspring will take only after their parents.
- Note: Please include images of relatives if requesting throwbacks. Existing characters only!
Role-plays: Each parent must submit three RP's, at least one of those RP's must be with each other, totaling in SIX role-plays for a basic breeding. For mothers submitting wild/rogue breedings, three RP's are required instead of six. RP's must be a minimum of fifteen posts to be counted as complete. No one-line posts will be accepted either. Paragraphs should be at least 3-4 sentences in length, and by and large the RP as a whole should be fairly full.
- Note: I will let you add to RP's or edit your breeding forms if you are rejected for RP incompletion.
Note: For extra role-plays you will receive one offspring extra on top of the roll. 10 role-plays = 1 extra pup/cub. 20 role-plays = 2 extra pups/cubs. That is the maximum at this time. The same role-play rules apply.
- Note: There are no "bonus offspring" incentives for non-RP breeding couples, though cost is the same.

[ General Breeding Rules ]
- The ..... creatures that share this world with the humans are just as capable of giving life as the humans. There are several things that should be noted when considering breeding your totems, however!
- Litter Sizes ..... Each species can birth a different number of pups or cubs, some species can even crossbreed! Not all, though. Some factors also contribute into litter sizes. Not much is known about this yet, information will be added as it's gathered.
- Totem of the Dog: 1-5/6
Totem of the Wolf: 2-5/6
Totem of the Lion: 1-5/6
See below for Adolescent and Random Male breedings, they have special rules.
Other things to Note ..... On top of the litter sizes and procedures, there are also a few other things that should be noted. Inter-species breeding, adolescent breeding, rogue/lone breeding, so on and so forth.
- Adolescent breeding: Is highly discouraged and frowned upon, due to the extreme mortality rate. Also, due to their mental immaturity most adolescents are not emotionally ready to start rearing a family of their own.
- Adolescent breedings will result in a maximum of half of the maximum for that species. (Example: Adolescent dogs can only have up to 3 offspring, instead of five.)
There is a 50% chance that offspring from adolescent breedings will die.
There is a 75% chance that if offspring survive they will be runts.
Random Male breeding: Is not rare, nor as unsuccessful as adolescent breeding but due to the difficulty of raising a family with a single-parent, is uncommon. Adult females that breed with a random male will have only half the maximum number of offspring possible, rounded up on odd numbers. This number is halved again for adolescent females who breed with a random male. (Example: Adult female Dog-Totems can only have up to 3 offspring, instead of five.)
- Adolescents who breed with random males will have a maximum of 1 offspring, in addition to their mortality rate and offspring-health rolls.
