I don't know why, but I found the premiere of Smallville to be kind of disappointing. It felt rushed, most of the characters seemed a bit off except Lex and Chloe, they underrated Bizzarro after blowing him up for such a long time, and then nothing happened that wasn't really very predictable.

Oh, and then there was the part where Laura Van Der Pool (sp?) appears and she does nothing more than...appear. I never did like the idea of Supergirl coming so early, but THIS early?! It's nuts.

Short spelling lesson: Bizarro. 1 Z. 2 Rs.

Now that that is over, I thought it was actually pretty good. Not disappointed but surely not blown away. It was better then I expected it would be.

You thought Lois was off? How? Anyways, I was pretty disappointed with the premiere too. I especially agree with your point on Bizarro. That was just lame. The Bizarro/Clark storyline was just bad. I want something interesting! In season 2 of Buffy, Buffy had to stab the person she loves AND send him to hell. Season 6 of Buffy..One of the protagonists starts with revenge and has a power overload and tries to kill her friends. Season 5 of Buffy..Buffy sacrafices herself to save the World.

Well... I just expected it to be super extraordinary seeing that it's the season premiere... Or maybe they're waiting for the finale. (They're usually much more extravagant.)

I thought the episode was rather predictable, imo. When *Bizzzaro hit Clark into that pillar or whatever, and the sun started to heal him, I just knew Clark was going to say "Is that all you've got?". I was saying it to myself about 20 times before he finally said it, then I gagged a little.

It almost seems like they should've had Zod THIS season, and Bizzzzzzzarrrrrrrro LAST. Since apparently, in the sunlight, he's nothing but a p***y.

*spelling Bizarro incorrectly on purpose. Meow.

If you think about Smallville's premieres in general, I think "Bizarro" is one of the better ones (for the record, my favourite was "Crusade").

I feel like they cut a Lois scene out in the middle where she finds out about Chloe being alive, because it just made no sense for her to have that really emotional breakdown in the hospital and then come in, hug Clark and have no more of a reunion with Chloe than to say she had some explaining to do -- otherwise, I don't see how she was 'off'. Lex was acting a little weird but I chalked that up to losing Lana. Aaand I actually liked Clark a lot in this episode; more than I usually do.

As for Kara, I feel like her big introduction is likely to be next week, in "Kara". It's Laura Vandervoort, by the way, and I thought she was excellent. The scene where she's alone on the water tower and puts on the bracelet (which clearly meant a lot to her) was kind of heartbreaking.

I kinda liked it hardly any Lex but it was great. To bad that Lana is still alive I know it'll never happen but I'm keeping my fingers crosssed for a Lexana scene.
