Right now I'm about 3 weeks away from opening Robin Hood... we'll have to cancel shows, though, because nobody's buying tickets. crying
After this disaster is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Next weekend is our major fall production. It's a BIG deal around here becasue it's an original collaboration with the local equity theatre company. It's call "Prohibative Standards" and it's a commedia d'ell Arte peice that is set in a bar the night before prohibition is repealing in the 1920's. Unfortunetly, I have not done much work on it so far. I'm on costume crew and the designer went and did all the costume work on her own so it left nothing for the actual crew to do. However, I will be a changer during the show.
After that, it's MY show. To graduate here you need to produce and direct a senior workshop. I'm doing a one act called "Wanted: One Groom" and the girl I am piggy backing with is doing "Some Kind of Love Story." Two totally different peices that we are creating a unity between with the set... which we are co-designing and the costumes which we are co-designing as well.
Then after that, another senior is doing her workshop, "Trojan Women." I'll be light designing that one.

Okay so umm... I just talked to the TD of this show and well... apparently I'm not a costume changer anymore. I am not on the pracicum (AKA putting in hours on shows for class credits) this semester so they are giving the running crew job to someone that is. I'm suddenly jobless on this show it seems. Wow, I feel so out of the loop. Though I got a special prop job assigned to me since I'm the sewer in the department now. So I guess... that's about it. Wow, this is weird.

I'll be acting in the Children's show this year again, which is "The Tale of Tam and Cam: A Cinderella Story." No one knows their part assignment yet, though the director hinted that I'll be narrator (probably since I look the least Vietnamese out of everyone in the cast). I'm also pretty sure that it's much bigger than last year, which was a 40 minute - 3 times a day deal, which will be fun.

Well, it's not a play, but in mid October we're having a Cabaret night. During the two hour show we're having the choirs and quartets sing songs from musicals and three medleys which will take about half an hour. Then the remaining hour and a half will be open to the students who auditioned to perform for Cabaret night. Some students will be singing solos/duets, dances, or performing monologues and scenes.
My friend and I are doing a duet scene for Cabaret night. =D The two choirs that I'm apart of are singing a Chicago medley and the other one we're singing The Phantom of the Opera medley. I can't wait!!
It makes me envious that you all have fall productions. At my school our productions are in late winter/spring. D; But we're doing Rumors and Pirates of Penzance, so I'm not complaining too much. =D

Our school has litteraly just finnished up our run of 'Orpheus Descending'. I was originaly Props Master or as I like to call myself Prop Queen lol. But then our costumer pretty much slacked off so I jumped in and became head costumer and props manager. ><
Today we had auditions for the newest show 'Inspecting Carol' I pulled off a monologue for the audition pretty well, but still I worry about if I got the part since I'm going for stage role now.

We closed "Top Girls" by Caryl Churchill about 2 weeks ago. I designed hair and make-up for the production.
We are currently about 4 days from Amerika: An Immorality Play by Steve McElroy (Alumni FSU) in which I play one of the main roles.
We are also in the midst of rehearsals for "Once Upon A Mattress". I am playing the 2nd Lady in Waiting.
So, yes, thats all. Lol

Well, right now, we have Matt and Ben in the black box theatre. Its about Ben Afleck and Mat Daman, but they are played by female roles. It's a comedy piece.
After that show we have A Chirstmas Carol in on the main stage. Costumes are being rebuilt and some new props are being made.
