Walking quietly in the stillness of the night, not too long after the horrid event she and the family had gone through. Her mind was in endless turmoil of what had happened to her sons, so much has changed the two. It felt like it was just yesterday that they were just cubs and now they are all grown up to their best their bodies allow. Dumu has gone through love, heart-break, and still determined to find something more... he has his powers back, though she had no idea he had lost them in the first place, but he was happier now. As for Akiiki... that was what was on her mind now. That lion that they had met was nothing like the cub-the son that she bore and raised. She moved about slowly, knowing that wherever she went now, Athrun was close by. If not, he would come to her call. She wouldn't think that her mate would leave her alone after what had happened...
"To take everything away..." she murmured.
Her prestine, white feather bounced with each step. The sky seem duller now, her heart weighed heavily with grief and worry over her youngest member of her family.
"Athrun... what are we suppose to do now?"

The wind seemed to breeze through his large wings as the god floated on the winds above the savannah far below. His mind was lost into a turmoil of unhappiness that had no reprieve in sight as long as he was stuck upon the world. His mate was miserable, his eldest son was upset and angry and his youngest son was being taken over by something that no longer existed.... or rather shouldn't have.
The fact that he'd gotten so upset that his fur had turned black and the souls of the lost and deceased had begun to float about his body was a point for how upset he'd gotten at the invasion of his son's body.
Grumbling to himself so loudly he'd almost missed his mates words, Athrun folded his wings to his sides and sped down to land by her side gracefully, paws touching the ground so softly that they made absolutely no noise despite his plummet.
"We try to find out how to rid our son of his parasite... however for this moment I haven't the faintest my love." Athrun said, his deep voice reverberating through the air softly.

Kainda had stopped to hunt a few hours earlier, for even her will couldn't carry her any further without sustenance and rest. Fortunately for her she'd managed to surprise a young leveret in the long grass, paralyized with fear at her approach. Not good sport but nutritious. Carefully she'd managed to find another young one who was abandoned as soon as the swift mother got a sniff of maned wolf in the air. It had taken a long while for the hares were uneasy and she had had no energy to actually chase them...Muroki had said to make sure she didn't push it, look after herself...
How he missed her bonded! And Johari and Laini and the others, though mostly her own lion. She felt lonely for the first time she could recall as she gnawed at a slender bone, fur and mess at her paws. Kainda lay sphinx like as she finished with the second kill. Then she got to her paws and stretched, ready to continue her journey - unaware that the path she was taking was a collision course with two lions, as the wind was behind her and her muzzle still full of the scent of food.

Azra nodded to his mate's voice, agreeing that there was nothing they can do just yet. They had to think of a way to purge that thing from their son's body. How? When? The sooner they could do it, the happier she will be to have her son back. The way he appeared before them was horrifying for a mother... scarred and truculent, what had happened to the poor lion that had caused this? Was it because he was in tune with the world through his seer abilities? Then wouldn't that mean Dumu was also at risk? She shivered at the thought of her emotionally lost son being taken over by something like Akiiki's case. She just had to keep hope that she will see her family together again.
"We just have to get out of here for now. Akiiki may come looking for us again and he did say he wanted to kill you... take everything from you," she spoke. Her logic was simple, get away from the possessed lion and take the time to think of how to get rid of it. Athrun had a lot of stuff but she knew that he held his family close. As long as she was with him, she was safe... at least she thought that whenever he was around, nothing could touch her. As for Dumu, he was strong now, how, she could not tell. He had gotten his powers back so he should be able to see his brother coming for him and by then he could prepare himself. Hopefully, Dumu would be safe with whoever he was with.
"Lets just find a safe place for us, we will think of something soon... even if it kills me, I will have my son back to normal." Azra dropped her head, her feather lifting lightly in the wind. "I am sorry... I failed you, I thought I could protect the family with you and look at where it got us." she stopped. Feeling like a failure once again, it seemed like she was not standing up to her expectations as a mother and a mate of such a wonderful male, a God no less. Dumu was growing up fine, at least to her mind. Male loving a male was normal, love not gender. But Akiiki... will he ever feel love? A mother is suppose to watch her children grow, love, and leave for their own lives. Will she get her chance to?

The prospect of running away from his son was a horrifying one at best, there was no way for his son to off him, this much the large god understood. He was stronger and faster and not only that, his son was inncapable of using his seer abilities to their fullest while was was more than capable of using his god abilities that he'd had slowly re-appearing over time. Athrun wasn't just a god, he was a father and as a father knew that his son was a trouble. He didn't wish to run away... he wanted to help and the only way to help would have been to stay.
However, explaining this to his mate that was currently worried for his life as well as that of her eldest son would prove difficult. Therefore he would have to follow what she said for the time being. After all, his love of his mate surpassed any fear he might have of attempting something moronic.
"That's true.... so then where should we go? Akiiki is living around the pridelands right now, meaning we cannot go there for fear of the spirit possessing him." Athrun said slowly, his voice was soft despite its resonance. "I don't like the idea of running away from our son... but if you think of it as a good idea... then I suppose it is."

((Meryt said I could reply as she sits out a couple of posts))
"It is not so much as running away... I do not want to see it that way, Athrun. Aki has been taken from us, he is still in this world but he isn't awake. Dumu should be fine if he can find others to be with him, in a group, I doubt Akiiki will harm him. . . As for you, being a God makes you immortal. You cannot die in the normal sense like us mortals. Akiiki is still mortal, possessed or not, he is capable of dying. We just need to get away somewhere safe to think. . ."
She walked at a brisk pace and looked about for something that stood out to them. A place away from the Pride Lands, a place that was stable for the two of them to live. She was ready to do just about anything as long as she and her mate were safe. In her heart, something was preventing her letting her mate go. He was a God, he was strong and immortal, but seeing him hurt and gone was just painful. Even the thought of it.
When her eyes pulled away from Athrun's form did she pick out something ahead of them. Something in the distance seems to be moving. It could not have been a prey beast, it was too big and rather bulky to be. The only thing that size would have been a buffalo, but it had no horns. Not a zebra for there were no stripes. Azra squinted her eyes, it was a predator. Cheetah, wild dog, leopard, or lion she could tell. The mortal opened her maw to inquire Athrun for his wings to see what it was... if it was safe to approach. After their encounter, she was slightly paranoid of strangers. But... this is something that she can do herself, no point in asking another to do it when she was fully capable of doing it herself.
"Athrun, wait here for a second," she purred and started toward the figure with a quick pace. Her nose sprouted into the air and picked up a scent. Wolf. Her violet eyes narrowed as her facial features became a rigid scowl. Stopping in her tracks, she shouted, "Who goes there?"

((Sorry for the uber delay. XD; *Killed*))
Her brisk pace was easy enough for him to keep up with, his huge white paws covering the distance that two of hers did, meaning that each step of his was the equivalent of two to three of his mate's. The size difference was just one difference in them however and there were many. Her pride and honor being the other and the strongest one. Athrun was of course different as well, his distrust of gods and the sad and passive love of his current and lost family held his personality at a level he wished his mate would never know.
So to run away from his son.... both of them in reality... it sickened him.
"I suppose you know best." Athrun said, his voice suddenly quite, the resonance gone from depression. This was all his fault.
Lifting his head at her words, the large white god felt a flash of discontent yet he nodded all the same. Whatever Azraceri saw in the distance it was best to let her take control of the situation, she already had of everything else in the past few days.
Flicking his wings out to his sides, Athrun closed his tired eyes and laid his huge body on the ground sphynx-style. He hadn't slept in months and it was slowly starting to catch up to him. With eyes closed, the god began to drift, his head inclining slowly until after a few moments his chin rested on the broad collar about his neck.

Kainda stopped the second she heard the voice and saw a figure after a few moments honing her senses in. Ears flicked forward, muzzle thrust out forward, nose sniffing to try to catch any hint of what it was. She thought...lion, female...and something else a way behind? Hard to tell without the wind on her side. She was a canine who liked to follow her nose, it being one of her natural advantages.
Ready to run if needs be, she took a few paces forward, calling out a greeting. She was now used to lions, her best friends were lions, but she knew not all could be trusted.
"I'm Kainda, of the Dawnwalkers - just a traveler passing through."

Azra looked over her shoulder at her mate to make sure he had not taken off to find Akiiki or something. She could not tell him that she had no idea what she was doing. She was doing everything on impulse and only sought comfort in what she was telling him. Dumu was gay, it was as simple as that. She was happy that he was, sadden that neither him nor this Ewan could accept it. But happy that he was able to meet someone that he might end up with. Akiiki was scarred. Possessed by some monster. He almost killed Athrun and he may not have stopped after him. Dumu was right there, even if he had his powers, Dumu was still weaker than Akiiki... she knew that from when they were born. He just seemed to be so much more frail than his younger brother. Even now he may look strong, but still not compared to his brother who had lost his powers and traded it for power, strength. Athrun... her love and mate wanted to do something so dangerous that she was scared of losing him. She knew that Gods reincarnated but she was unsure what happens after that. Would he remember her? Will he remember his family? Will he even be the same? How was he going to save anyone if he could not remember? How could he save Akiiki without even knowledge as to how? What if Akiiki died? NO! He could not... she will not bare the thought of it. She did not want to lose anymore. Equivalency was a lie! She lost so much and obtained her family. Now Akiiki was possessed? What did this balance? Where was the equivalency? Was it that Dumu found someone? Was that it? She shook her head and pushed it all aside. Finding a safe place was what came first now. Dumu would surely keep wandering and get further away from his brother for the time. She had to make sure that Athrun was with her for the time being until she found a safe and stable place to live. That monster can find them again if they stayed still...
She looked out into the savanna, watching the maned wolf called back to her.
"Hello there, Kainda!" she called out. The Dawnwalkers? What was that? Considering how she said it, she would have to assume it was a Pack or a Group of hers. Being a Maned Wolf, she could not have been in a group of lions... but she must have known of one if she is wandering out here. It was a slim chance but... she had to ask.
"I apologize for jumping to the point but do you know of any neighboring prides looking for lions or that we may seek shelter in for a while?"
We... that slipped.

"I'm a herald of a group like that. The Dawnwalkers is a clan - pride, pack and flock all. We're looking for more lions, and others, to join us in regaining our lands." Kainda didn't wait to gauge her character. She had time to do that after she found out how many there were.
"How many of there are you?"

"A group?" she paused... there was a pride out here? "Is the Dawnwalkers a safe place?" She paused again. She felt awkward making a desicion without her mate. She was worried that he may not find this place safe or even a good idea for that matter. She didn't know how he would take it being in public, being a God...
"There are two of us... he's a ways back, resting a bit. I would like to know a little more about the Dawnwalkers then I will go back and talk to him about it. He's... rather shy." a lie, but it was to protect him...

"With the pride, yes, though we'll end up fighting a flock of vultures for the best land." Kainda wouldn't lie. While it sounded an easy fight, the birds weren't your average scavengers. There was more than usual, more vicious and well fed - they even kept slaves if the rumors were true. Best warn them now.
"However, we've good numbers and allies. Our king hopes the revival of the pride will attract the attention of it's old patron gods, who'll aid us. Rokopelli, Athrun...and a few others."

The last name ropped her attention instantly. "Athrun?" she silenced quickly. The King of the Dawnwalkers was hopping to attract Athrun's attention? To aid him in this fight against vultures? It sounded like such a trivial task but if it needed Gods like him then there must be a bigger reason. Azra nodded her head before dipping her head in respect.
"Thank you for the information, Kainda. Please wait here for a moment, I must speak to my... mate about this."
She walked at a rather brisk pace back to the larger male. This decision was something she could not do herself. She came to his form, nudging him for him to wake; she has tried to wake him this way many of times but always ended up giving up, returning to his side for her own sleep. However, this was more of important matter.
"Athrun, wake up, we must talk immediately... Someone is looking for you."

Slowly an eye cracked open and Athrun flicked a feather. It was rare that the large white god ever fell asleep to any degree, therefore it was strange for him to wake up from it in the middle of the savannah with his mate calling out his name desperately. Annoying in a way and yet he woke all the same, head lifting from his collar and his ears slowly lifting forward.
"You called love?" Athrun's voice resonated lowly around them, it could have carried for miles if need be, strong and deep and long.
The strange feeling was of her feeling anxious, something that Athrun wasn't used to associating with his mate of any lion or creature he'd met. Why she was anxious he didn't know but... it was something important.. something potentially dangerous maybe?
However he attempted not to seem worried of it. Tried.

"Athrun, have you heard of the Dawnwalkers?" she questioned. She was unsure if he knew or not but she was going to get to the point. "The old king is said to be seeking you thus you must have known him or he knows you. Regardless, we have a member of this group here, but she has not seen you. What do you suppose we do, love?"
She turned he head lightly over her left to look at the wolf she had left behind. Though it seemed rude of her to do such a thing, she needed to talk to Athrun one on one, rather not have the wolf exclaiming or having Athrun fly off. Her ears were back slightly for the tension between the pair seemed... well, tense. Athrun had not fallen asleep as much lately and to see him sleeping out in the open and not hidden away was... different to say the least.
"She says that the Old king wants to bring back a pride to attract you to them, you have heard of them, right?"
