Adamu was older now- His body was lean and his mane was growing in. everyday he changed a little bit more, until his sky complex disappeared. He no longer let sorrow rule his life, thanks to his teacher and Tamu. He was happier now, or at least as happy as he could be without fooling himself.
True, he did miss his mother still- but he had to move on. He was becoming an adult now, with more responsibilities and soon he would have more to take on- life only got harder as time passed, he figured, may as well get use to it now.
Shifting his shoulders as he moved the young prince roamed the lands in search of Dima, his best friend. He had some stories to tell her and a new scar to flash. He had been collecting them it seemed. Foolish fights and hunts, he never learned.
“Dima?”
He called out as he padded along, head held high.
Where could she be?

Dima wasn’t too far away. She was sun bathing upon a rock, purring contently to herself. She needed to relax her mind- she needed to get away, soon she would have to do something painful, soon she would have to let go. He was all grown after all, Adamu was. He didn’t need her to mother him any longer. She had done her job and she felt she had done it well.
He seemed so much more happy now. That’s all she wanted.
Curling her tail some as she lifted herself from her resting place she called out to her friend, in a playful tone. Masking her true emotions.
“Adamu~ I’m over here!”
