She had escaped from the eye of her hawk like mother. It was so hard these days since she was so...protective. The little uni female sighed softly. Her ears flickered forward for the road a head. She grinned in admiration, she was so good at sneaking away. Had to be quiet, that was easy for her to do. Well since her situation made it hard for her to make any sound at all.

Little lavendar eyes peered along the landscape, where was she? She hadn't a clue but she could scent water and water was fantabulous. Partially why she got her name. She bucked happily in the direction, her eyes wandered back and fourth alert however. Never know what creepy crawlies you might find around here.

Tsela was free, or at least for the moment. His father had disappeared for an errand that he had to do for Grandmama and she got busy with a dispute in the herd leaving Tsela free to do what he wanted. Or at least with hope of what he wanted as long as she didn't see him.

Giving a little skitter of a leap Tsela's brown eyes avoided the little beetle bug as much as he could. He hated bugs, as much as he hated being dirty. Actually he didn't like things that weren't pretty or sweet or even lovely. Despite his hatred for ugly things he did enjoy the sweet coolness of the water...

Raina propped herself up at the river bend. All sorts of animals were out and about. She had noticed a butterfly and she went to blow on it but it had landed on her nose and she had laughed gleefully. Keep in mind her laugh is a snorting sound. She rolled aroud the flower bed for awhile before moving towards the water to clear her parched throat. She hadn't met any new as of recent.

She was quite disappointed of it. If only momma knew.

She hated being sheltared because she was different. She sighed softly watching the silvered figures dart aroud in there underwater home.

Tsela could almost taste the sweet water trickling down his thoart.

There was only one problem.

There was mud sittin along the edge of the bank. Tsela wrinkled up his face as he gave it a small whiff. There was nothing more then hated then mud, well mud and bugs and... well there was actually more of a list to go on.

Despite the factor of mud, Tsela looked around hoping there was another way, anything besides his sinking hooves. His brown eyes spotted a figure. It was a grey looking creature with legs like him. Actually it looked a lot like him. Trotting his way closer on the opposite side of the bank, as well avoiding the mud. He worked his way closer to the other.

She snorted as she pawed through the mud it would rinse off in the river. She shrugged, as she made her way to the crystal clear water unaware she was being approached...until she looked up.

There was another foal, it was different...momma spoke of this...it was a HE! She smiled softly...it made funny faces at the mud. He didn't look to happy. She flickered her tail as she watched him with an opening smile letting him he was welcome to her prescence.

Tsela leaned his head to one side. She didn't say anything but shd did give a smile instead. Would the other talk to him?

Taking a step closer to get an even closer look at the other, he noticed a small horn on its head, and a funny looking tail... as well it was a she!

But why a horn?

And why didn't she say anything.

Giving a smile back at her, Tsela picked his way across to get closer to her, ingoring the squishy sounds the mud made as he stepped in it.

She trotted aroung a bit, bobbing her head. Lavendar eyes peeled on him. She was amused that he was coming over to see her! The little uni femme's tail swayed in anticipation, much like father. Perhaps thats where she had picked up the habit?

She had to learn to express herself in different ways, since she lacked a voice physically. She wouldn't allow it to hold her back mentally.

Still she hadn't said anything. Not even a hello yet.

Maybe she was shy and didn't like to talk loudly, or maybe she was waiting for him to say something. Getting closer to her until his nose was only a few inches a way from hers he gave a small grin.

"Hello, who are you? My name is Tsela Cuhotgawa!"

Her tail flicked as she smiled..Tsela, what a nice name. How she wished the words would come out. My name is Raina. She sighed softly. She nosed his chest and bloew slightly an 'ah' sound slightly forming. It was the best she could do. Then she reared slightly, signaling herself and went to the water and took a big gulp and spurted it into the air...it was the best she could do for 'rain'...then taking a deep breath she blew out the 'ah' sound again. She hoped he would understand, her brow rose curiously.

Tslea gave her a funny look at first. She still wasn't speaking. Instead she made a funny noise in a response tapping his chest. Then she started to blow up water.

Did she want to play? Was she playing a game?

A game of guess the name!

That must be it, either she couldn't talk or she wasn't allowed to either way it was a guessing game he would have to play.

Watching her splurt the water he thought of things with water.

"Sprinkler...... eh..... shower..."

No those where it, and she kept making the sound 'ah' after it.

Tsela made a funny face wrinkling his lip to an angle and squinting his eyes.... what could it be....

She nodded at his guessing with a big grin, while made 'poopy' and 'icky' faces at bad guessed while shaking her head no.

She looked towards the sky and motioned to it while flipping the water up again. She tilted her head to see if he had gotten it. It was so hard to explain without a voice but it was possible.

Her tail swayed back and fourth, as she had seen a small flower bed by the bank. She trompled part of it, making it look old and the other still looked fresh. Then she motioned to the sky again taking a gulp of water and spitting it on the flowers while leaving the others alone. Almost to say, 'this' goes to 'this' with water from the sky. Very complex on her part, a fun game on the other if you didn't get a head ache.

Tsela watched as she flipped the water up again. He still didn't get it. Tsela couldn't help but hold his head to the side, shaking his head at her. He was still somewhat very confused what could water coming down be?

His soft brown eyes watched as she went to the flower. He almost let out a yell when she started to stomp on the flowers, why destroy something so beautiful? But he held his tongue. Instead he watched as she squrted the water out over the flowers almost as if to water them. To water them?

What else watered flowers.... Rain!

"Rain! Is that the word Rain!"

Her eyes widened...YES! she screamed so loud in her head it hurt. She made that pathetic 'ah' sound after he said the word 'rain.' Thank god.

She had to smile softly though at his face when she had torn the flower bed...he seemed attatched to them.

"Hmmm....... so it is Rain."

But she kept making that noise again, the "ah noise."

"So its Rain.... ah... Rain...ah... Raina?"

He started to make his way over to the flowers that were crimpled to give them a small sniff. At least what they were appreciated once.

She nodded, he wasn't stupid.

That made her smile...she hated stupid soquili who dodn't understand...there were many. She could only do so many things to attempt and show them what she meant. Her body language and facial expressions were beyond compare. Just by a simple movement you could tell what she was thinking.

Her lavendar eyes watched him, he was funny colored. She hadn't seen purple and brown mixed soquili before.

She watched him and his dislike for the killing of flowers. She picked one with her teeth and offered it to him with a pleasant smile.
