Anybody catch Bionic Woman last night? I knew Katee Sackhoff (Starbuck) was going to be the "evil" bionic woman in it, but I was surprised to see Aaron Douglas (Tyrol) and Mark Sheppard (Romo Lampkin/Badger on Firefly) in it too. The show was all right, but I'm going to stick around in hopes it gets better.

I also spotted Kandyse McClure (Dualla) in Romeo Must Die, and Grace Park (Sharon) hosted the Asian Excellence in Entertainment Awards (or some such awards) along with Daniel Dae Kim from Lost.

So have you spotted anybody from BSG in other shows/movies/etc. recently? I think it's fun to watch something and be surprised with a familiar face.

I saw Bionic Woman, too, and I'm a little iffy on it right now. I'll keep watching to see if it gets better and to see if the things that bugged me in the first episode continue to bug me.

I was surprised about Aaron Douglas and Mark Sheppard, too. I noticed Aaron Douglas's name in the opening credits, so I knew to expect him, but I didn't know the name of the guy who played Romo, so he was a total surprise.

As for cameos in other shows, Tahmoh Penikett was in an episode of Smallville last season, and I think I've seen him, Aaron Douglas, and Alessandro Juliani (Gaeta) in reruns of SG-1. Kandyse McClure was also in an episode of Smallville, but I don't remember what season that was. And I was watching Independence Day for the first time in about 8 years, and I was surprised to see that Mary McDonald played the First Lady in that movie.

Bionic Woman hasn't come to Australia yet. But we are getting a lot of previews (along with Heroes). It shows a horrific car accident and then this woman in the hospital where she just freaks out when she sees her metallic/amputated limbs and throws doctors across the room etc. I'm a little caustous of it because I just know that like a lot of other shows on tv, it'll get preachy about terrorism.

I saw Aaron Douglas' name too, but I had to look up Mark Sheppard's on IMDB. I remembered Mary McDonnell from Independence Day, but I don't watch Smallville. Tahmoh, Katee, and Michael Hogan (Tigh) recently lent their voices to an episode of Robot Chicken (which was frackin' hilarious xd ). I just saw Katee in a preview for White Noise 2. And as we probably all know, EJO was J.Lo's dad in Selena.

Bionic Woman was really weird. I felt like she accepted her new-found strength and abilities way too easily. The characters weren't very compelling and her relationship with her boyfriend was really, really odd. And you're right, it probably will get a little preachy.

Well, Lorena Gale (Elosha, the priest) was in last night's episode, but Bionic Woman wasn't any better than last week.

I missed the second episode. My fiance and I had to choose between Bionic Woman and the season finale of Top Chef, and Top Chef won. And then we ended up missing the repeat on SciFi Friday because we had visitors and didn't want to bore them with TV watching. It's bad enough they had to sit through Doctor Who with us. xp

surprised
Well, priorities are priorities. XD
Episode 3 was better, so I still have hope. But I kind of hate how every episode so far they say how Jamie is so new at this, they really shouldn't be giving her assignments, but they do anyway. rolleyes Yeah, okay, whatever.

I'm watching an old episode of CSI on Spike right now, and Tricia Helfer and Mark Sheppard are both in it.

Bionic Woman has aired in Australia, and its not that great. I think what they are trying to do is a target a younger age group of females as their audience, but even my 12 year old cousin can see the inconsistancies!

Yeah, I'm pretty disappointed with it. I mean, the show is okay, but it's not blowing me away or anything. I'm just watching for Katee Sackhoff. heart

Yeah, I'm watching it just for Katee at this point. Episode four was not good, and I am really fracking annoyed at how they keep talking about how green Jamie is and they shouldn't be giving her assignments and yet they put her in dangerous situations anyway. And she rolls with it! rolleyes

What did Aaron Douglas do in the first episode? I forgot.

I think he was just some mid-level prison management guy. I think it was just a bit part. Too bad, since this show could totally use a BSG-awesome infusion. Katee is good, but the more the merrier, imo. I need my fix somehow.

Oh, bummer. I was hoping he would have a bigger part.

I don't know what happened on this week's episode, I just did not pay attention at all.

I had an exam, so I couldn't tell you. :/

Katee far exceeded Michelle's performance. I've watched about 4 eps, and all I can say is that her British accent sounded fake (which is ironic, as it's really her voice.) I only want to watch to see what happens with Katee's character.

I kind of lost interest. I haven't really watched in weeks.
