Okay I dunno how many states are actually following the story of this moron ut I'm fed up with it! (I live in GA, can't turn on the news without hearing something about him these days >< ) For those who don't know Michael VIck is the former quarterback of the Atlanta Falcons
Since he is an athlete, he is in the lime light and is seen as a role model to young people. therefore he should be held at a higher calibar than others. Yet he has repeatedly made stupid mistakes and only received slaps on the wrist. And now he is being indited on charges of dog fighting. He has been suspended indefinatly from the falcons and has to pay back the money paid to him in his contract.
Here is a list of crap he's done in 3 years:
-Was accused by ex-girlfriend of giving him herpies (I probably speleld tht wrong so yes the STD)
-Shot the bird at fans during a game
-Was suspected of trying to sneak marraquana onto an airplane via a secret compartment inside of a water bottle. (this was when liquids were not allowed on airplanes.) The substance was later found to be nothing, but still.
-Pleaded guilty to helping set up a dog fighting ring, transporting dogs over state lines, breeding dogs for the purpose of dog fighting, beating and/or killing dogs when they did not fight, being present during dog fights, and being present during gambling. (gambling is a massive nono in the NFL appearently)
-On September 13, 2007 (AFTER BEING INDITED) he tested POSITIVE for pot!
And yet people defend him! They actualy defend him! They say 'he's human, he just made a mistake.' BULLSHIT! My mother is a teacher. Any one of those things would've gotten her fired (except probably the herpies thing...) why is he so damn special? Cause he's a stupid athlete. He's proven he's an idiot! he's screwed up several times!
People have even said crap like 'A human should not have to go to jail because of a dog.' I'm sorry but if someone beat any of my dogs, prison would be my concern, not theirs. Because I would be arrested for assault, battery, and possibly attempted murder depending on how severly I got vengence!
Oh, and here's the kicker, I listed the charges he pleaded guilty to. In Virginia (where the dog fighting took place. It was at his house) He's being indited on breeding dogs for the purpose of dog fighting, beating and/or killing dogs when they did not fight, being present during dog fights, but the grand jury DID NOT INDITE HIM FOR ANIMAL CRUELTY. WHAT KIND OF IDIOTS ARE THEY?! (If they had he could have ffaced up to 40 yrs in prison)

the man needs to be beaten to a bloody pulp, do some jail time, and banned from the NFL, as well as never being allowed to keep a pet (of any kind) ever again. people like him are bullies and have been bullies all their lives, with no compassion for anyone or any living thing outside himself. it's sickening.
I understand that Whoopie Goldberg gave the excuse for him that he's from the south, it's part of his culture. what crap is that?! I'm in SE TN and tho I'm a transplanted yankee having came from NYC, I obviously have *many* southern friends who've lived here all their lives.. in TN, GA, and AL and none of them would ever even think about doing such things! the only reason dogs (or even cocks in c**k-fights) fight at all in these things is because their owner tells them to and they do it out of either trust (likely at first) or fear (that's a definate). it's not only a lack of love and compassion in this abomidable man and all others like him, but it's pure unadulterated selfishness and TRUE evil.
to be honest, I dont have an issue with pot and I think it should be legalized. but that's off topic.

It's not part of our culture!!!!!!!!! scream I don't think I know a single person who would consider dog fighting or even c**k fighting. That's bullskabittle! Pure bullskabittle.
I've told people before, I think that rather than jail, he should serve his time in a pound. Including eating dog-food! I think that would be hysterical myself.
But yes I fully agree about the physical punishment he should suffer.
I know two dudes who are pot heads. One's a friend and one is a guy I tolerate and am on friendly terms with, but I don't consider him a friend.
The friend I woiuldn't know he's one if he hadn't said so. The other dude...he doesn't have enough braincells in his head to begin with, he doesn't need the pot... And he brings that crap to school.
My view, all drugs are illegal for a reason, none of them are good. But if you're gonna do a drug, do pot. It's the least of the evils in my opinion. But be prepared to loose braincells.

Eh if they legalized it I wouldn't care. I don't plan on ever smoking tobacco or drinking alcohol either so it wouldn't vex me in any way. True. But it still pisses me off that the stupid grand jury didn't indite him on animal cruelity.
Oh! The "off-topic" mara-I can't spell that-pot comments? They were on topis because I asked for thoughts on the topic. And your thoughts were that it should be legalized!
