After talking to Boma'burudi, Amadet had done a lot of thinking. She had come to terms with the fact that one of her former pride's deities was in fact alive and well, though she was still trying to get past the idea that she had simply skipped off and abandoned the pride when they needed her, and the others. The more that she thought about it, the more she realized how much she blamed the gods for what happened to her. Not just the pride's division, but for her and Amoret. Amoret had gotten every single special marking, some that were not even common within their family. Between their mother and father, there was two, maybe three of the markings. Amoret got all of them, and Amadet got a marking that had never once to anyone's recollection appeared in the family.. and yet, it somehow was the exact same marking on one of the gods.
It was too fishy to be simple coinsidence.
So with that in mind, Amadet had come to the Pridelands with every intention of confront the goddess. She wanted to know what had happened, why it had happened, why someone would actually choose to do this to her.
In a foul mood, and not too keen on meeting many of the locals, Amadet travelled as quietly as she could and kept to herself. It wasn't too difficult to find the Pridelands, a few simple directions and then the very famous landmark in the distance- she knew she had the right place. The only thing Amadet did not know was where exactly she should be looking if she wanted to find Mtima'safi. After a couple days of wandering around, Amadet had made little progress and was starting to wonder if she should ask a local. With this idea in mind, she settled in for the night with every intention of asking around in the morning.

Wahabu was no stranger to coinsidence. Lately, it seemed more and more like it was all on purpose that he was found by those related to him or looking for someone related to him. Tonight was no different, as it would turn out. As was not entirely unusual, Wahabu was out for a midnight stroll to try to calm himself down and tire himself out so that he could get a little more sleep. It was starting to bother him that during the day he could be so lethargic, and at night when he really wanted and tried to sleep it seemed even more impossible for him. Visions haunted his sleep, though he still was thankful they did not come during his waking moments.
If only to get a good nap, he thought dreamily as he floated along through the grass. If only there was a way to make it all stop, then he could remember what it felt like the sleep, or to be fully awake again. But now was no time to plan ways to fix it, he was hardly awake.
So unaware of where he was going was he, that Habu almost tripped right over the sleeping form of Amadet- fortunately, he only bumped into her before he realized, and stopped before he tumbled right to the ground.

Amadet had thought she was being careful when picking out a place to sleep, and in fact she was quite close to the shelter of a tree that Habu would have landed very near if he had tumbled. The rogue lioness was startled out of her peaceful sleep, and woke with a jump and growl in hopes of fending off whatever it was that had sprung upon her. Rolling back a bit she saw that it was merely a rather fuzzy, tired looking and pale furred lion.
"Watch where you're going!" she hissed grumpily from the ground, "Who do you think you are?"

If Wahabu had not been so startled out of his daze by almost tripping, the growl and hiss was enough to make sure he was awake (or as awake as he could get at this point). He immediately took a couple steps back, which put a fair distance between him and the angry lioness when combined with her rolling backwards. Caught somewhere between just waking up, laughing awkwardly and apologizing all he managed at first was a mumble- leaving Amadet more than enough time to snarl at him.
"Sorry," he finally managed, clearing his throat and backing up a bit more, "I guess I'm not too awake. I'm sorry for bumping into you miss..." Habu paused, waiting for an introduction, and to be polite he decided to introduce himself first (after all, she had asked who he thought he was).
"I'm Wahabu," he said in an attempt to be cheery, though he was ready to back off entirely if she was going to be crabby.

Mildly annoyed at the strange lion's attempts to be friendly instead of simply apologizing and stumbling off like a good lion would do, Amadet got to her feet and shook the dirt from her fur. She only glared a bit at him as he apologized and tried to get her name out of her. If he wasn't going to go away so easily, she'd have to at least humor him. It took a moment to remember that she was going to get help, and immediately upon remembering that she dropped the glare. Though she was still far from smiling.
Until Wahabu introduced himself.
Immediately her indifferent (if not a bit annoyed) expression turned into a friendly (and someone fake) smile. "Oh, Wahabu," she said brightly, "Just who I've been looking for!" With only a vague plan, Amadet wondered how she should introduce herself- would Mtima'safi have mentioned her enough that her son might not want to lead her to their home?
"My name is Amadet," she introduced herself, and did her best to sound completely innocent, "I came here in search of Mtima'safi, I was told I could find her here- with her family. You."

Too tired and trusting to be suspicious of the false bright and cheery tones, Habu simply too it to be a good sign for now. There was a time that he would have been suspicious of any female doing such things after how his sister had treated him, but he had long since gotten over that fear and suspicion. He was a bit startled to hear that he was the one she was looking for, though.
Then he realized he really shouldn't be. This made what, five times something like this happened?
"Pleasure to meet you, Amadet," he managed politely before she asked about his mother. Despite his fatigue, he managed to look completely surprised at this. For one, who would be looking for his mother, and for another.. who still thought that she was around here?
"You're looking for my mother?" Habu repeated, shaking his head, "You won't find her here."

Amadet managed to keep the sweet smile on her face, and took a moment to survey the young lion. He was tall, and the pale color did appear to be yellow- just like Boma'burudi had said. With no importance on Mtima'safi's appearance, Amadet had no idea how much like the goddess he looked but that wasn't what mattered to her. She did notice how he didn't look very well groomed, and was slouching quite a bit.
She was pleased with his manners, and was quite optimistic of her chances of finding the goddess and confronting her- up until Wahabu said she wouldn't be found here.
It took a moment to conceal the sudden disappointment and anger she felt at not having the chance to tell her off. It was not easy, and she managed to look almost frustrated instead of out right angry.
"W-what? Where is she?" she asked.

Wahabu frowned at Amadet when she looked frustrated, misreading it in the exact way Amadet would have hoped for it to come off. Trusting and tired faulted once more, he imagined her only to be very disappointed, if not a little mad at having come all this way to find out that Mtima'safi was not here. After all, depsite everything Wahabu thought very highly of his mother and would never expect less of anyone else.
"I don't know where she went, she didn't say," he replied sadly, "How do you know her?"

Surprised by the way that Wahabu reacted and smiled at her, Amadet stared back at him blankly without answering his question right away. Either her acting had improved, or he was more tired than he looked. It was hard to imagine something like him having such a spiteful deity for a mother, unless she'd been gone for a long time already. She shook her head a bit at the idea, it seemed it was a common trend among mothers formerly associated with her pride- abandoning their cubs. At least Wahabu knew who his mother was.
"That's too bad," she said unhappily, now having more confidence in her acting since Wahabu was so accepting of everything she said, "I am from her old pride, I was hoping to see her. But it looks like that's not going to happen."
Amadet sighed.

Habu perked up at the mention of his mother's old pride, and then immediately drooped once more. At first, he was interested but then he remembered how he had first found out about it- some of his first visions had been of his mother's past, with another god and occassionally with other lions in the distance. Perhaps that was why, Habu realized, Amadet suddenly seemed rather familiar.
"I'm sorry," he said with a small shrug, "I'm not sure how else I could help you."
If Wahabu knew where to find his mother, that was almost certainly where he would be. At least to visit- he really missed his mother. Once a mama's boy, always a mama's boy.

Amadet took a seat, upset that she had wasted so much of her time now by following that goddess' insturctions on how to find Mtima'safi. Now she had no way to confront the goddess about everything that had happened, and her trip was completely and utterly pointless. Boma'burudi couldn't have been so close to Mtima'safi, or she would have known she would not be here!
Grumbling internally at Wahabu's complete unhelpfulness, Amadet cursed and wondered why the gods were even so important to the pride in the first place. You could know where they were, and they wouldn't be there. It was then, at the thought of how important the deities had been, that Amadet realized the other plan she had had tucked away in the back of her mind. Plan B.
"So we've both lost her," Amadet said, taking a stab at Habu being rather fond of her. So far he hadn't sounded much like he didn't like his mother.

Mimicing Amadet, Wahabu decided to take a seat and relax a little bit. This was a lot nicer than being snarled at like when he first showed up, and honestly that was about as deep as his mind went at the time of night and state of mind he was in. However, he rarely had trouble thinking about his mother and how much he missed her. When Amadet seemed to feel the same way, he smiled a little bit. He didn't know how close Amadet really would have been to his mother, but certainly being someone's god came with some special, personal connection.
"She's out there somewhere," he mumbled, looking off towards the sky quietly and wondering.

Pleased with her ability to read Wahabu's relationship with his mother correctly, Amadet smiled inwardly and tried to keep the smile towards Habu a little less sinister than it truly was. Amadet had absolutly no idea how to approach this situation, though she knew exactly what she was aiming for. For starters, she had to be a little closer to him- and she found that opportunity when his blue and red eyes looked out beyond her and off to the stars.
Carefully, she got to her feet once again and stepped closer to him. She did not go infront of his eyes, but instead around so that she would not interrupt him. With what she hoped was a comforting smile, she took a seat right next to him.
"She'll be back," she murmured, glancing over at the lion now only a short distance from her.

Habu's stare never left the distant stars as he thought dreamy thoughts about his mother, her pride and the lioness that was not sitting very close at his side. His fatigue was catching up with him again, and he wasn't entirely aware of what was going on as he nearly dozed off again. Obviously he was not so suspicious, and feeling rather comfortable around Amadet. Wahabu generally was not a very distant friend, and generally made friends with everyone he met (or tired to) so he was happy where he was.
"Mhmm," he mumbled dreamily, managing to glance over and smile a bit.

Amadet noticed how Wahabu didn't seem to mind that she had moved, and smirked a bit about it- until he glanced over, where she let it droop a bit into a more placid smile. The lioness made one more conscious move by resting her head against Wahabu's shoulder, and then stopped putting so much thought into what she was doing, trying to be natural.
Peacefully, the two of them sat side by side, watching the stars.
