Okay, this is just an RP of Angel, and it takes place a month or so after the giant battle at the end of season 5. It's pretty much based on the show except for a few things:
A)Wesley didn't die! Illyria got in a few seconds earlier and saved him. yay!
B)Buffy has spent a year going around to tons of hellmouths and closing them with a spell Willow cooked up. So a bunch of cities lay in ruins cause their hellmouths are gone.
C) Cordelia's still alive and she's not evil...i hated that entire spin.
D)CONNOR NEVER HAPPENED! that was one of my least favorite aspects of the show. So i'm taking it out. Darla never got pregnant. She didn't stake herself to make him be born, he wasn't taken by Holtz to quar-toth, and angel didn't erase his friends memories. This may make it a little difficult due to the fact that connor was a huge part in the series, but i'm sure we can make due.

So, the premise is:
The big battle that angel and company fought, or were about to as the series concluded, that was just the first wave. The senior partners are waging fullscale war against the forces of good. In fact, they're opening up a HellVoid... a rip throug reality thatacts as a link to thousands of hell dimensions. So it's basically a hellmouth in the sky.
It's too much for angel and crew.
But have no fear, buffy's here! After closing hundreds of hellmouths, buffy and her gang think it's high time to help out in L.A. So it's the whole crew...
together at last... again... plus more.

Your friend and mine: RULES!!!
1. gaia tos, duh. this rule should NOT have to be reitterated (did i even spell that right?) but it is anyway because there's always the select few that DON'T ABIDE!!!
2. Fighting's fine. it's an rp based around a television show that was based around fighting dead things...well...a lot more than dead things, but you get the idea.
3. swearing is...okay...just don't go over the top. no n's, f's, c's, or blatant genitalia references. please. i think we've all had enough of those.
4. no godmodding. this one isn't generally a problem, but must be stated just in case.
5. pm your profiles to me OR post them. not both.
6. have fun. gee, it sounds peachy keen and corny, but by golly, it's a necessary rule!

Amy was born in New York City, under the protection of and evil sect of demon worshipers. Her mother was fed to the demon right after she was born. ew. Amy was raised on the streets of new york by the demons, not realizing how...evil... they were. at the age of twelve, she witnessed them sacrificing twenty babies at once, and decided it was high time to go someplace else. She found her way to a nearby school, randomly walking into a classroom. Realizing she had no real home, the teacher helped her get into foster care. She and the teacher became good friends. At the age of 15, a demon passed through on its way to the Sunnydale hellmouth, killed the teacher, and ate her for lunch with ranch dressing and a side of fries. double ew. She ditched her family in new york and tracked the demon to sunnydale, where she enrolled at the local high school.
She is a slayer, but has no idea what a slayer is. Another odd attribute is that she doesn't have slayer dreams because she doesn't dream... a side affect of the ritual involving her mothers death...

Amy sighed, wondering when her seemingly endless torment would end. She would rather be out killing something, or even in hell, but no. She was stuck in the worst possible place imaginable. She was sitting between The Epitome of Darkness and the rising terror of Destruction. The fiery gaze of her tormentor turned to her once again, overlooking the crowd of evil around her.
"Amy, what is the square root of 31684?" asked the stern, angular man at the front of the classroom. She looked at him, quizzically, trying to stare him down, seeing if he'd back away. He stood stock-still, awaiting her answer. When she realized her tactic wouldn't work, she leaned back in her chair, trying to look confused.
"Um..." she feebly replied. The teacher shook his head and sighed, turning to someone else. Amy looked beside her at The Epitome of Darkness. His long black hair was streaked with purple, and was covering his left eye. He twitched his fingers, scratching at the desk with his pitch-black nails. He changed positions in his chair, trying to get into a more comfortable spot, and the chains hanging from his pants gave out a loud jingling. A giggle came from the other side of Amy. She turned in her desk to see Destrucion trying to contain his laughter, jiggling his desk with his movements. He seemed squished into the tiny spot, barely fitting and ready to pop out at any moment. His immensity was so great, as he giggled, the room seemed to bend at the seams. Amy threw her head back in anguish. Why, Hecate? she thought to the Goddess. Why am I here, when I could be devastating the forces of evil?
There was a coarse buzzing as the clock stuck 3:00, and everybody in the class stood, gathering their things and heading for the door. Amy had a different plan. She quickly slipped out of a window, unnoticed by all, falling to the ground from the second story. She quickly stood and ran away, heading towards her apartment.

Buffy watched the young girl hit the ground deftly from her jump out the window. "Will was right." she thought"This girl has some definite possibilities...." Buffy's eyes followed the lithe girl as she ran off down the street. There would be time enough to talk to her at the moment she wasn't in immediate danger..except for the hell of high school. Buffy grimaced a bit as she thought about just how hellish some high schools could be. "Well at least this one isn't sitting on a hell mouth." she sighed as she brushed back a tendril of golden hair off her face.

"Yeah but it is in LA and that is a hell all its own." said Xander as he came up behind her. She turned to her friend and gave a weak smile. "I know Xand, but right now we gotta go find and destroy whatever is causing the dimensional shift. And you know where we have to go..." she trailed off.

Xander gave a bit of a growl "Yeah yeahwe gotta go see him." He looked none too happy. Buffy shook her head..."Don't start...we might need his help." She started to walk down the street. "Besides, Xander I wouldn't worry about running into him...If i were you I would be more worried about the wrath of Cordelia!!" Buffy laughed and realized she hadn't laughed in quite sometime. Xander groaned and swung his arm around Buffy's shoulders as they headed down the street.

Amy shoved the little key into the lock on the door, twisted it, and turned the knob. The door stuck in the frame a bit, so Amy ran her shoulder into it and it swung open. Entering the small apartment, Amy threw her keys on the counter and relaxed on her bed. It wasn't very roomy, but it was all she needed. A bed, a dresser, a bathroom, and a tiny kitchen pertaining of a stove, a microwave, and a refrigerator. It was really cheap, and Amy couldn't see why. Sure it was small, but the quality was pretty good. It was clean when she'd moved in, it had come with all of the furniture, and there were no unruly neighbors. But there was one that often came and went in the night. Amy hadn't ever seen him in person, but she could identify him leaving his apartment by the squeaky door and creaky stairs.
Amy sighed as she lay on her bed, wondering what to do with the rest of her day. She figured she could buy some supplies. She hadn't really brought any weapons with her, just a stake. And even though that killed quite a number of things, she figured it would be nice to have a better variety. Holy water was always a nice thing, too. She jumped from the bed and left the apartment, heading towards a shop that she'd seen while wandering around over the weekend.
The day was hot and sunny, just as most days in L.A. were, but Amy was fine with it. It was nearing winter and around this time in New York, she'd be getting out some warmer clothes. Here, she just wore less covering clothing all year round.
She rounded the corner and found the shop. It was nestled at the end of a dark alley between two very tall buildings. She entered and looked around, marveling at the wondrous weapons available to her.
A man stood at the counter paying for something and the clerk seemed rather agitated. Amy moved to see that the item in question was a fairly intricate dagger. The man pulled the money from his wallet and returned it to his back pocket. Amy smiled and the two men said their goodbyes and the buyer began to leave. As he started towards the door, she got a good look at his face. He had dark hair and eyes, with an unshaven face and glasses. Across his neck was a long scar, as though he'd seen the worse of a few battles. Maybe that was why he was buying the dagger. Amy mentally shrugged as he left, then began browsing.
She eventually picked out two small knives and a katana, with a sheath for each one. She stayed in the shop for a moment, fastening the knives around her legs under her pants, making them unnoticeable until the right time. As for the katana, she bought an entire cylindrical case for it, inconspicuously strapping it across her back. She payed for them and smiled at the clerk, then left the shop. On her way back home, she spotted the same man that was in the shop, waiting just around the opposite corner. What was he doing there.
Amy shrugged off the notion that he was trying to kill her and continued home.

((for now, most characters that aren't actually being played by a specific person can be puppeted around. that goes for everyone that doesn't have a "- played by..." sign next to their name.))

Wesley left the shop, glancing at the girl that had just entered. She seemed odd, as though she had a sense of strength about her. In his lifetime, Wesley had only met two girls that had given him this feeling. And after what Willow Rosenburg had done in Sunnydale almost a year ago, Wesley wouldn't be very surprised to see another around. Actually, he was surprised that he hadn't seen very many. And he would know if one were. After all, he had been a Watcher.
But just to be sure, he waited just around the corner for her to finish in the shop. She left with a large cylindrical case, presumably containing a sword of some sort. She looked both ways before turning right, practically surveying the crowd. She'd seen him, but hadn't seemed all that worried about it. But Wesley now had his answer. He was sure that this girl was what he'd thought she was.
She was a slayer.
He pulled out his cellphone and dialed the Hyperion Hotel. They'd moved back in after the Wolfram & Hart offices had been decimated by an attack. Since then, they'd pretty much returned to their usual habits and antics before Lilah had even made the request. Wesley sighed in remembrance of the now-dead woman, then snapped back into the moment as somebody picked up the phone.
"Wesley," came the female voice on the other side. It was such a familiar voice, yet it didn't always bring much comfort. She'd always been something to him, but for the past year and a half, she'd changed drastically. It almost hurt that the being now inhabiting her body still had the same voice.
"I see you've learned to use the phone Illyria," he said.
"The fowl contraption's workings have eluded me long enough," she replied. "I decided that I must learn of this important device before a time comes when it is crucial that I know how to use it."
"I'm glad of that."
"Unfortunately, it still brings and awkward feeling to me when I use it."
"I'm sure."
"It feels strange to have a slab of plastic pressed against my cheek."
"I didn't really consider that."
"And though it is nice that you are listening to my complaints, I'm sure that you have not called to hear my problems with this contraption."
"No," Wesley said. "I've found a slayer."
"A slayer? I will call for Angel. He requires this information, not me."
"No," Wesley protested. "I'm going to talk to her and there's not really anything he can do to help. I just thought you should all know that there's another one in town."
"I shall make him aware of the situation as soon as he emerges from the porcelain stall." Wesley nodded. Illyria had strange names for the appliances that people used every day.
"I'll see if I can bring her to the Hotel by tonight."
"I am awaiting your arrival," she replied. Wesley hung up and walked down the street the way the girl had gone.

Buffy and Xander had headed back to the hotel that they were staying at. It was nondescript and not too far away from the Hyperion Hotel. Buffy could certainly afford better digs these days --the newly resurrected Watchers' Council provided for her every need. With Giles in charge he had made damn sure she was properly compensated for her work. Even though it still felt strange to be paid for something that she felt was her sacred duty, she wasn't complaining. The arrangement allowed her to pay for Berkley for Dawn and have her own money without worry. It was a nice feeling of comfort. It was also Giles being Giles in his British logical way. She obviously could not have another job not now... she was a full time slayer. The leader of the slayers as it were. She even had doubles of her working various demon posts in the world. It was certainly a long way from slinging burgers.

She sighed as slipped into her favorite fuzzy robe and settled on the bed to go over several squad reports. The new slayers were doing well. Several squads had ousted vampire nests and demonic hideaways this week and had captured a sorcerer who was trying to make way for a new hell mouth. A busy week in slayer -ville. She was staying in this hotel because she was keeping a low profile. One of her doubles was working the demon party circuit with the Immortal. She didn't want anyone to know she was back in LA. Not just yet anyway. She had some business to take care of with a very enigmatic vampire first.

Buffy stretched her arms out over her head. "Where is Xander with my pizza?" She had sent him out a half hour ago with a couple of the sentries and guards that the Watchers Council had provided to travel with them. She got up and went to the window and could see the black Escalade pulling back into the lot. " Finally! I really can not see Angel with an empty tummy. It won't exactly be cool and mystrerious if my tummy is growling while I am trying to be all big bad slayer..." she trailed off. Angel oh Angel she thought to herself...you will always make my tummy do flips. I just want to be a finished cookie so you can take a bite ....oh no Buffy do not go there!! She still couldn't believe that she had put it to himthat way the last time they had spoken.

But tonight it ws definitely all about business. Big Bad Evil Business. She ran her hand through her hand as Xander and the sentries entered the room. "You remembered the extra cheese this time didn't you?" she said to Xander.

((i put you down for playing xander as well, just because it looks like he and buffy will be together for a while))

Amy closed the door of her apartment behind her and sighed, leaning back against it. She stood and pulled the case from her back, tossing it lightly onto the bed. Taking it out, she examined the blade. It was very finely crafted; there was not a blemish on it. Pulling the sheath out of the case as well, she then examined that. It was a fairly nondescript sheath. The blade fit perfectly, but that was expected. She slid the sword back into its sheath and then put the two into the case and stored it under the bed. Amy stretched and entered the kitchen, opening the refrigerator to see what she had to eat.
She pulled out a leftover Chinese food container and opened it. After sniffing the contents, she shrugged and put it in the microwave. There was a noise from the door and she hesitated before setting the timer. It sounded like metal scraping on metal, or the soft sound of tumblers falling into place. In moments, the locked door was pushed open.

Wesley managed to catch up to the girl, following her into an apartment building. He assumed it was where she lived, but he had no idea on whether she lived alone or not. As she went up the stairs and entered her apartment, Wesley stayed just outside the door. After a minute or two, he went inside and up the stairs.
In the stairwell, he looked up and saw a flick of her hair and heard the slamming of a door. Noting which floor she was on, he went up the stairs. Wesley quickly found the door she had gone into and he began digging in his pockets. After a moment of rummaging, he found what he had been looking for.
He pulled a set of lock picks from his pocket and knelt on one knee, eying the lock. The two prongs were jammed into the lock and Wesley gave them a little jiggle, listening for the movement in the lock. In a moment, he had opened the lock and he stepped through into the small apartment.
It was a small place. A bed was in one corner of the L-shaped room with a dresser right next to it. Next to that was a door to what was presumably a bathroom. In the other section of the L was a kitchenette, with only basic commodities. The girl was nowhere to be seen. The microwave, however, was on with a time of 1:14 and counting down. Inside was what looked like Chinese food. Wesley sighed and checked the bathroom. Still no girl. Confused, he went back into the main room and looked around again. It was only now that he realized that a window was open to the fire escape. Wesley groaned and turned to go back to the door
In the way of the door was the girl, her sword drawn and placed at his neck. The two stood for a moment, looking each other up and down. Finally, the girl spoke.
"You really should knock," she said, not moving her blade.
"I figured you would have run," Wesley replied.
"And I wouldn't when you picked my lock?"
"I figured it would be faster for me to pick the lock and I would've gotten in before you'd gotten out." She snorted.
"I'm pretty quick," she said.
"I should've known."
"What, are you a psychic?" Wesley laughed.
"No," he replied. "But I know a lot about you." The girl raised and eyebrow.
"Creep?" she asked.
"Right...I should have said 'I know a lot about people like you.'"
"And 'people like me' would be?"
"Slayers."

((Thanks! I'll play Xander Too!!)))

After the pizza was eaten and the sentries and guards were back on duty outside the room. Buffy turned to Xander "Are you going to be okay with this tonight? Going with me to see Angel?" she ran her hand through her hair and waited. This was a very complicated situation. Xander was her best friend, her closest ally, her sometimes lover. There was no love lost between Xander and Angel and she loved them both just in very different ways. There was no way she would want to hurt Xander and the situation was more friendship than passionate love--but it had been a long year and they had both been hurting and lonely. It had just been natural and comforting for them. But now she was worried that meeting up with Angel was going to messs everything up. Sigh...how did she get into these situations??

Xander turned and looked at her. He raised one eyebrow at her. "Buffy, I am your best friend. You, me and Will we will always be the best friends. I am not under any illusions about what has been going on with us in the extra curricular sense. But no matter what I am here for you. That will never change. As for Angel ...well he if hasn't realized what he left behind than he is a bigger fool than i thought." He paused for a moment. "But I still don't like him...he wasn't even all grrr and he punched me that time."

Buffy smiled and looked at her best friend. He was the heart to her soul. "Xander..." she started " You know I love you. But we are here on business not a romantic reunion. I can't even go there....you know that. We have way too much on our plates right now. I have to find the slayer, get in with the Fang Gang to stop more unspeakable evil, make sure Dawn gets back to Berkely ...are you getting my meaning?"

Xander nodded. "Yes maam!" He said jokingly knowing how it still surprised her when the slayers called her that. "You get ready. I am going to get the reports fromthe sentries. Meet you at the car. " He started out the door.

Buffy turned and grapped her weapons bag. She pulled out the Scythe, her crossbow, and Mr.Pointy. The sun had set and LA was not a friendly place after dark. Buffy pulled on her favorite black leather pants, a pink camisole, and a cropped black leather jacket . She pulled her boots on and strapped her dagger underneath the leg of her pants. Under her jacket she had strapped on her retractable stakes and had her holy water on her pocket. Just another night out, she thought.

"Slayers?" Amy asked. "What the hell's a slayer?" Wesley stared at her.
"Into each generation a slayer is born," he tried. Still nothing. "She alone can stop the onslaught of demons and vampires and are you sure you don't know what a slayer is?" Amy thought hard.
"I think I saw something about that in a book back home, but it said that she was just a myth."
"Well she isn't," Wesley replied. "And you are one of them." Amy looked down at herself.
"You're sure we're thinking of the same thing? The slayers I found were all demons, trained to kill humans. Just some hocus pocus sect of monsters." Wesley sighed.
"Apparently, we aren't thinking of the same thing." He thought a moment, then something occurred to him. "I can't explain it very well, but I know somebody that can." Amy raised her eyebrows.
"Oh, really?" she asked. Her blade was still to Wesley's neck.
"You'll have to come with me, though." Amy laughed a little.
"And there's the catch."
"Look, I don't want to kill you," Wesley said. "I just came here to find you."
"For what?"
"We've been looking for people like you."
"And this is supposed to make me come with you?"
"Trust me." Amy sighed.
"You're not setting a good first impression," she said. She lowered her sword. "But you're obviously not a vampire or a demon." Wesley gave a half-hearted smiled. "But an slip-ups and you're toast!" She raised her sword again and Wesley nodded.

She put the sword in its case and returned the Chinese food to the refrigerator before the two left, leaving the sword in its case at the apartment. It wasn't a very long walk to the Hyperion, but Amy was hungry and she began to complain on the way over. They quickly stopped at a nachos stand and purchased her some lunch before continuing on. They reached the front entrance and Amy gawked.
"This is where you live?" she asked. "You've got to be kidding me." Wesley laughed a little but continued inside. Amy quickly followed. They reached the doors and Wesley waited for Amy to catch up before pushing them open.
The hotel was the same as it has always been. The lobby was a giant open space made of green marble with red carpets and white furniture. Two staircases led up to the higher levels, as well as several elevators. There were several desks set up behind the main counter, as well as a separate office.
"Woah," Amy whispered. Wesley smiled in agreement. There was a sound and Amy looked to her left to see a tall, blue-haired girl standing next to her examining her. She jumped back from the leather-clad figure and tried to figure where she'd come from.
"This is she?" the girl asked. Wesley nodded.
"I will tell Cordelia that she is here."
"No need," came a voice from in the office. The door opened and out walked a young girl with brown hair cut to her chin. She was wearing a flowered shirt with flared sleeves and light blue jeans. Her smile lit the room almost, practically making everyone want to smile as well. That was the way of the charismatic.
"You must be the new slayer," she said. Amy shrugged.
"And you are?" she asked.
"Duh," the girl replied. "I'm Cordelia. Seriously, was that not obvious-" Wesley cut her off.
"Cordelia, this is Amy. And, yes," he said. "She's the slayer I had mentioned earlier." Cordelia nodded, still beaming.
"Well, welcome to the club, I'm sure you have a lot of questions." Cordelia led Amy to the circular couch in the center of the lobby and the two sat down. Amy wore a perplexed expression on her face.
"Look, Cordelia? I have no idea what a slayer is, let alone if I am one." Cordelia's face was blank and she turned to Wesley.
"She is," he said. "I don't know how she doesn't know." Cordelia turned back to Amy.
"Have you been having weird dreams, lately?" Amy shook her head.
"I don't dream."
"Okay, that right there is your problem," Cordelia said. "Without the dreams, I would've never known! What with my demon powers, there was no telling whether super strength and speed could be added at any time." Amy's confusion grew.
"You're a slayer?" Cordelia smiled and nodded.
"But I thought there could only be one." Cordelia sighed and lost her smiled.
"Get comfortable," she said. "This could take a while."

((go ahead))

Buffy grabbed her bag and headed out to the dimly lit parking lot. Xander and the sentries were standing by the vehicles waiting for he. Buffy took a couple of steps forward and stopped. She lifted her chin up and took a slow deep breath.

Xander walked over to her and lightly touched her arm. "You okay?" he asked. She looked at him and grimaced "My spider sense just got all tingly...in the bad way." Xander looked around quickly motioning for the sentries and guards to come over to them. "Vamps or demons?" he said to Buffy as the others came up to them. Buffy smiled a sort of sneer "Vamps.." and pulled out Mr.Pointy from her back pocket. Xander smiled a little and laughed "Going old school huh?"

It was true. Buffy really didn't need to go hand to hand with the vampires as much anymore. the new Watcher's Council provided all the latest and best demon fighting tools. But Buffy also knew that vampires had to fear the Slayers and going hand to hand in a fight always showed the true power of the Slayer. She was afterall the one thing that the creatures that go bump in the night feared.

She quickly turned to the sentries and guards (who were slayers in their own right) " Rowena, Satsu go around the back of the hotel ..cut off any possible escape routes that way. Amber and Marlie head off the opposite way and make sure their are no more heading this way. My spider sense is telling me these guys are getting ready to party." The girls headed off in heed of Buffy's orders. Buffy turned to Xander "You're with me...got your flame thrower in the truck?" Xander headed to the truck calling out over his shoulder "Never leave home without it!"

Buffy sensed that the vamps were holed up in a room on the opposite end of the lot. She could be certain though until she got closer. She had always been able to sense vampires but since the essence of the Scythe was now a part of her she could usually feel a vampire over a mile or two away. It was an excellent tracking ability. She headed over to the line of rooms on the opposite side of the parking lot. She stood outside with her head cocked to the side...listening intently for the tell tale sign of a vampire. The non-existent heartbeat coming from a talking person...she listend some more. Signaling Xander--she pointed to the last room on the edge of the lot. He moved over towards her and crouched down. "Where do you want me, boss?" he whispered She crouched down..."Stay behind me..any vamps that run out...torch them." He nodded. Buffy got up and slowly, stealthily headed towards the door..she heard the slight whimper of humans and the laughter of the vampires. No time to waste. Buffy sprung into action, jumping up and sailing toward the door she kicked it down. Standing in the entry way of the room she saw 8 to 10 vamps standing around five teen age girls tied up in the middle of the room. Tears streaming down their faces. Buffy raised an eyebrow and said"You know...I just can't leave LA for a minute without you guys thinking you can party without me."

She sauntered into the room. The vamps stood there in a state of shock for a moment. One vamp with greasy stringy hair and beady eyes hissed "Its her man...its her." A larger vampire walked up closer to her. "Who the hell are you?" He was the leader. He had jet black hair and cold blue eyes. A scar ran down the side of his face and his muscles bulged menacingly. He was trying to intimidate her and failing miserably.

Buffy sneered and said"Do you really want to find out? "

There was a deafening silence in the hotel room for what seemed like forever The large vampire "Muscles" Buffy thought should be his name. Looked dismissively at her. "I don't care who you are, b***h." He turned his back to her and said to the other vampires "Kill her."

Buffy smiled sweetly. She loved it when vamps thought she was just some little girl who would be killed easily or run away in fright. She looked down at the five girls. "This won't take long. I'll get you home safe."

The vampires started towards her in the cramped room. The first vamp took a swing a Buffy but she deftly blocked it and countered with her own that sent the vamp flying into the wall. Buffy kicked the leg off the wooden table and threw it at the dazed vampire. "Ashes to ashes.." she said as another vampire grabbed her by the neck with his fangs bared.

Buffy elbowed him hard in the solar plexus his grip loosened and she swung around towards him sending her knee into his groin. He bent over in pain as she snapped his neck back and dusted him. Spinning around she saw the large leader vamp growling. He was not happy with the way things were turning out. Two vampires charged her from the side-Buffy deftly threw her arms out and sent two stakes flying from the sleeves of her jacket. Two more poofs of dust. Buffy swung around and using Mr.Pointy quickly dusted another vampire. She raised her eyebrows at one vampire who was deciding whether to charge her or run. "Run..." she said as he headed to the door ..."Bad idea.." she muttered. She heard the charge of the flame thrower and smelled burning flesh and the vampire screaming right before the explosion of dust.

She saw another vampire move over to her left and she quickly braced herself as he headed her way full force. She met his vampiric force with her Slayer strength in a flurry of punches and kicks. She was thrown up over the kitchenette bar and saw stars for a moment. She shook it off and jumped back up in time to deflect the sword that was coming down on her head. Bare handed she pulled the sword out of his hands. Blood dripped down her fingertips as she hefted the sword into her own grip.

"I guess I am going to have to do this the hard way, huh?" she said as the vampire came lunging at her. With one forceful sweep she sliced through the vampire's neck decapitating him in mid run. His body exploded into dust before his head did and Buffy detected the glimpse of surprise and horror as he realized what happened to him just before his head dusted too. "On the other hand..not so hard." she quipped.

She turned and saw the weasley beady eye vampire heading for the window. She wasn't too worried though she knew the others would catch him. That left the leader standing in the back of the room-alone. Buffy turned to him. He was still eying her menacingly and had picked up a medieval looking axe. "Prepare to die, little girl" he growled "You may have killed the others but they were weak and ill prepared. I have killed your kind before. I have lived countless centuries and have seen the destruction of your kind foretold. I am your worst nightmare and will bring the destructioon and prophecy to fruition!!"

"Are you done yet? Cause I have heard all this before...apocalyppse, destruction yada yada. Can we just fight so I can just kill you and get on with my night?" Buffy said.

Amy sat in silence, awaiting any further details concerning Slayers.
"So, I'm the Chosen One?" she asked. Cordelia shrugged.
"About this time, you normally would be," she explained. Amy nodded.
"Except for the spell." She finished Cordelia's sentence for her and looked around the lobby.
"Exactly!" Cordelia said. Seeing the girl's distress, she put her hand on her shoulder.
"Hey," she said, softly. "This shouldn't change anything. The way I see it, you've had this all your life. Knowing about it makes no difference." Amy laughed a bit.
"See, the problem is, I actually noticed." Cordelia cocked her head. Wesley and Illyria had gone a while ago. Reports had come in of a huge nest of vampires at some hotel. In the middle of Cordelia's explanation, the phone rang with yet another report. This time, they'd taken a couple girls with them. Even though they were just vamps, Wesley figured they needed taking care of anyway.
"I actually noticed my strength," she continued. "It's not like I felt it specifically, but I did wake up one day and just feel..." she paused.
"Different?" Cordelia offered.
"Better. Like I was finally waking up." There was a silence between the two for a moment, then Cordelia raised her eyebrows and gave a small shove to Amy.
"That was deep," she said, laughing. Amy smiled and the two returned to silence.
"What was it like for you?" she asked. Cordelia sighed.
"I didn't notice for a while," she said. "Being part demon, I didn't feel anything until I actually got into a fight and saw my strength in action." She laughed a little on the memory, then cleared her throat and stood.
"It's getting late," she said. "I'll bet you're hungry!" Amy nodded and smiled in anticipation of food. Cordelia smiled back and motioned for her to follow. She walked to the small refrigerator behind the clerk's desk, then opened it to peruse inside. There were a few sandwich materials inside, as well as several leftover boxes. Cordelia pulled one from its shelf and handed it to her.
"You like pasta?" she asked. Amy smiled and nodded. "Great! Lemme just heat it up." Two minutes later, the two sat on the clerk's counter talking and laughing over the pasta that they were sharing between them.
"Oh, that is just too rich," Cordelia said, still laughing. They'd been speaking of a past experience Amy had had concerning a Fiarl demon performing a ritual with a loofa. The laughter was interrupted by a cell phone ringing. Cordelia got a look of surprise on her face, then reached into her pocket and answered the small machine. After a few words, she held the phone away from her mouth.
"I have to take this call," she whispered. "Don't worry, it will only be a minute. You okay out here?" Amy nodded and Cordelia hopped from the desk and went into the office, shutting the door behind her.
Taking advantage of her absence, Amy decided to look around. Hopping off the desk, she went to the front door and gazed out at the garden and the street beyond it. It was a beautiful place, really. The two staircases led upstairs and to hallways, then to more stairs and elevators, which all lead to higher floors. On the ground floor, the wall with the elevators extended to a fairly long hallway. The first door on the left was marked "Private" and was probably a basement or something. Sighing, Amy returned to the center of the lobby and turned to look at the reception desk again.
The sound of a door closing behind her caused her to spin. A tall man was just exiting the basement. He had dark brown hair and a very pleasing physique. He wore a white tank top and loose, black pants. Amy would have thought that this man was particularly attractive, if it weren't for the extremely large ridges on his forehead, the yellow, cat-like eyes, and the row of sharp fangs in his mouth. He was splattered with blood from head to toe and wiping some from his mouth as he entered the room.
"Vampire," she muttered. He looked up and noticed her for the first time.
"Who are you?" he asked. Without answering, Amy already had both of her knives out from their hidden sheaths. In the blink of an eye, she had attacked.

Wesley and Illyria pulled up in the car just in time to see the door close to one of the rooms.
"That is the room we were told the nest was in," Illyria said blankly. Wesley nodded and went to the back of the truck. He pulled out his crossbow and several stakes, passing two to Illyria. Their hands touched for a moment and they looked at each other. The moment passed and they headed for the room. They paused at the door, then nodded at each other.
With his crossbow ready, Wesley kicked just at the right spot in the door, forcing it open. They burst into the room, aiming at any vampire they saw. When their eyes adjusted to the darkness, they realized that there were only two left. Illyria quickly grabbed him, but then looked around the room again, holding the little vampire so he couldn't wriggle from her grasp.
The room was, in fact, occupied by the two vampire, and six girls. Five of them sat cowering on the floor, but the sixth was facing the second vampire, who was now wielding an axe.
"Buffy?" Wesley asked in confusion.

Buffy looked over her shoulder "Hi Wesley...kinda busy here.Get these girls out please! Help Xander and my slayers as more are coming. Muscles here and I are gonna play a little game called "Dusted" "

Buffy turned her attention to the big vampire. He was growling and spittle was running down his chin. "I will kill you all. You overestimate my power." He raised up the axe and swung. Buffy countered by bringing the broadsword up and knocking him back a few feet.

Out of the corner of her eye she saw Wesley and some blueish girl getting the teenagers out of the room and into the parking lot. Now that the teenagers were out of the room Buffy didn't have to fight as cautiously as she had been. Free to unleash her strength Buffy smiled at Muscles as he re gained his balance.

"I will kill you and your friends.." he said
"You know if I had a dollar for everytime you said that tonight I could get an extra cheesy pizza! Are you going to actually fight or keep telling me you're going to fight?" Buffy quipped.
He let a primal growl and came flying towards her. Buffy threw the sword up and sliced his arm as he tackled her with the axe just missing her head. She heard the swoosh as the axe came down next to her and split off a lock of her hair. She rolled up on top and with her hand grabbed the vampire by his ears and headbutted him--forcefully. "You know I just had my hair done..now its lopsided. UGH!" she said as she rolled off and jumped back up into fighting stance.

Muscles followed suit. Angrier than ever he bared fangs and came at her again. Buffy jumped up and side kicked his head, then delivered a powerful punch to his stomach, before following it up with another punch that sent him flying out of the door of the room and into the parking lot. He rolled and came back up to full stance as Buffy walked out of the room.

She quickly surveyed the lot. The teenagers were safe in the transport vehicle. Several more vamps had joined in the fray. She saw Xander and the slayers holding their own and dusting and flaming vampires left and right. Wesley and his friend were also doing well. The girl threw a vampire into the air and Wesley shot it with the crossbow. Interesting tactic,Buffy thought. Everyone was okay which meant Buffy could finish off Muscles here.

"Let's finish this..I've got plans for tonight that don't include you." Buffy said to Muscles. She threw the broadsword down. She crooked her finger towards Muscles tewlling him to come over and he did. He charged full force his anger and bitterness blinding him to the fact that Buffy had pulled out her trusty stake Mr. Pointy. As he leaped up towards her Buffy fell backward and raised Mr.Pointy up and thrust it into Muscles as he came down on top of her.

He exploded in a loud large flurry of dust over her. Buffy stood and shook off the remaining dust. She bent over and shook her hair out. She really did hate vampire dust in her hair...it took forever to wash out. She stood back up and saw that the vampires had been taken care or contained.

"So much for keeping a low profile." Buffy said looking at everyone in the parking lot.
