Battleground Selection!
Randomizer...start!
The screen towering above the stadiums' bleachers began to rotate clockwise to determine what field the pokemon would fight on. Anticipation began to build as the dial began to slow down...
Finally, it came to a complete stop.
The field of choice was....THE ICE FIELD!
The tempature of the stadium suddenly dropped several degrees (just enough so breath was visual and winter-wear is needed) as the stadium floor shifted for the upcoming battle. The floor was made of extremely slick ice, which would make manuverablity, even simply standing, difficult. Crystal-like pillars reached skyward from the frozen water, reflecting the florescent lights to all sides of the battle-field. Perhaps that could be used to gain an advantage?

Are all participants ready for battle?
The new official for this matched stepped forward, garbed in treaded boots (to avoid slipping on the icy ground) and a thick winter coat colored in Black and Blue.
Flicking the flags held in each so they parallel to the ground, the female attendant glanced at each trainer.
"This is an official one on one Pokemon battle! There is no time-limit and the battle may only conclude when one or both opponents faint. Trainers....are you and pokemon ready for battle?"

Jennifer shivered as she took her place on the west end of the battleground. She gave a light groan and rubbed her arms to generate warmth as she glared at the battle screen hovering above the bleachers. She never did well in the cold, and that fact that she was wearing a tube-top and a sleeveless vest wasn't helping.
"AhaahahahhhhhCHOO! Ugh....let's g-g-get this over with, Aeon."
Aeon nodded as he waddled out onto the field; as he stepped on the edge, he slipped on the ice and took a small flyer. Flipping and landing on his bottom, the electric pokemon stood and rubbed the sore area; all the while, flushing a bright red at the laughter that rang out from the audience.

Alex grinned as she walked out with a pair of Jeans and a turtle neck. The weather did not bother her at all. She called Peanut back into her pokeball and looked for Loves. "Go Love!" She said as a burst of redish color came out of the pokeball and the Houndor stood their wagging her stub of a tail she turned to Alex.
They walked out in into the stadium and they both looked around. Alex blew some of her long hair out of her face and looked at the crowd. She threw her hands up and looked at them as they cheered.
"Ok Love get out their."
Love scrunched up her nose at the thought of the ice melting into water when she attacked. She looked back and let out a snarl. "Arooow!" She howled then looked at her oppent and walked foreward some.

The offical acknowledged the arrival of the trainers and flicked both flags downward the signal the start of the battle.
"BEGIN!"
"AEON! Let's get started! Use Mega Punch and aim it at one of the ice pillars!"
"RAI RAI!"
Instead of running and taking another flyer on the ice, Aeon got down on his belly and pushed himself onto the field. Using his tail to propell his body, the raichu aimed at the upoming pillar as his fist began to glow a brilliant white color.
"RAICHU!"
The fist smashed head-on into the ice, causing the sharp ice shards to fly in all directions. Wrapping his tail around the stump of the pillar, Aeon managed to dodge the shower of shards on his side of the field.

"GAH!" Alex yelled ducking out of the way. "Move Love!" She shouted but it was to late some shards were already hitting Love. She whimpered but got up with a snarl.
"Hound!" She growled.
"LOVE! BITE!" Alex pointed to Raichu.
Love charged foreward and tryed to grab on to the Raichu. But she slipped and slide into a pillair.

Pushing at the pillar stump with his feet, Aeon managed to slide away just as Love slid by. Bumping up against another ice pillar, Aeon glanced up and winced in sympathy as the houndour crashed head-long into the ice.
That had to hurt.....alot.
Snapping her fingers, Jen called out to her friend. "Aeon! Pay attention, Try your Thunder Punch attack!"
"Raichu Rai!" Storing electricity into his fist, he pushed and slid towards his opponent nearby. Reaching out, he pointed his paw foreward as the pokemons' speed increased on the icy floor.

Love blinked and shook her head, her hard helmet like head came in handy. She turned around for a rebound but she was only to be crashed into by the Raichu's fist, sparks flew as she fell backward.
"Love! Get up!" Yin said with a worryed look. Love bounced back up and snarled. "Atta girl! Now use Ember!"
Love smirked and shot a fireblast at the ground and the pokemon

Aeon paniced as the ice around him began to melt under the extreme heat of the fire attack. Just as he was about to slide out of the way, a portion of the attack nailed Raichu in the side. He cried out in pain and rolled away to position the burned area on the cool ice.
"Aeon! C'mon, you can do it!"
Struggling to his feet, Aeon sliped a bit before grabbing the pillar next to him. The melted pits in the ice made excellent hand-holds for Aeon.
"Alrighty! Use Thunderbolt!"
"RRRRRRrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiCCCCCCCHHHHHUUUUUUU!!!!"
Keeping his hold on the ice, Aeon charged and let loose the attack on the surrounding area. The lightning struck several times on the field, ripping large chunks out of the ground.

Love smirked as the ice melted under the Raichu. She quickly moved out of the waters way so she would not get wet. She snarled and looked up at the Raichu who was moving around. She was cought off gaurd at the lighting strike. She feel back ward but shook it off as Yin called out to her.
"Come on Love! Give it your all bite!" She commanded.
Love shot up and started running with her mouth wide open heading for the Raichus scars.

Raichu screeched in pain as Loves' fangs ran across the sensitive area. As the pokemon moved away, Aeon slumped over and clutched at the burning wound; blood could be see leaking through his fingers.
Jen panicked at the sight, she knew that the wound was severe. They had to end this fight, and fast!
"AEON! Let's attack from afar! Try a thunderbolt once more!"
"R-rai...chu!" Stumbling to feet, Aeon charaged and let loose another round of electrical barrage on the field.

Love snarled and tryed to avode the attack, she failed. The bold hit her hard and she fell over.
"Love! Hang in their! Fireblast 'em again!"
Love shook her head shaking off the dizzy-ness. She stood up and stared at Aeon before a smirk came to her face again. "HOUND DOR!" A fireblast came out of her mouth and she aimed toward the mouse pokemon.

The flames smacked into Aeon, sending them both towards a pillar of ice behind the pokemon. As steam drifted upwards, shadowy figure shifted once in the fog and disappeared from sight all together.
The fog cleared, revealing that ice had melted, a hole leading down into the ice, and Aeon...Aeon was nowehere to be....
Just then, a glow of yellow appeared just below where Love was standing; a few seconds....and a barrage of lightning burst forth from within the ice, sending random jolts across the field.
