The fierce longing for his mate was what drove the mahogany and gold stallion now; where before he had been able to exist unhappily on the love of his adopted brothers, his adopted father, and his human mother.
Back when his mother had been sick, there wasn't much he could do about the longing in his heart for his beloved Esper, other then drown himself in the everyday essentials; like seeing to Celei's welfare and making sure things were being done around the camp. Eventually Flame had taken care of those things that did not directly apply to the native woman's care, lifting some of the load. But not all of it.
Then there was protection... Flame cared for him, leaving the camp at large to Blais and Crousader. But still he could not leave, could not seek his lifemate.
Then there came to be two unicorns in residence, and suddenly he could care for himself again, and that want, the burning need to see her again, to run with her through the dappled woods... he needed it more then he needed air to breath.
Crousader was the first to notice, and volunteered to scout from the skies for this one day. Blais had solemly promised to mind the camp with his father, and the unicorn mare Amarinne vowed that Celei's condition would only improve. So with a lightened heart and a extra set of eyes in the sky, Tai set off towards the clearing.. and the particular thicket that Esper had given him his son and daughters.
((ack, kinda lame. Gotta back into "Tai-mode" XD ))

[I may throw Mara in later] The palomino mare had been resting peacefully under the large tree that had been keeping her cool and out of the shining sun. She had been resting in the very area she knew that Marahute would return home to. The thicket of which all the foals were born.
This was home to Esper. Or moreso than anywhere else was right now. She enjoyed it here more than the teepee, and more than the herd.
She hadnt been able to locate the herd yet, so she had yet to see her love. The reason she breathed each day. But she hadnt seen her daughter either, and she was beginning to worry a bit.. Her daughter was supposed to meet her here, and she just assumed she was running late.
But what if something had happened?
Esperanza shook the thought from her head, and concentrated more on the thought of her lover and mate.
She wondered if he was thinking about her right now. She wondered if he missed her as much as she longed for him.
She knew it wouldnt be long, they'd see each other eventually. But that didnt stop the pang of missing him, now did it?
She blinked with her chocolate orbs and glanced around the thicket. All was quiet today..

*the sun was shining, the winds were just right and the thermals were quite nicely off the trees beneath his silver lined body. Tri colored wings stretched at his sides as he headed toward where he thought he could find Esper at the very least. It had been some time since he had seen Tsa's mother. Then again, She and Tsa's brother were the only ones that he had seen at all from the family. Well blood line meaning at the very least.
Gliding low over the tree tops, Andre peered down into the trees that got gradually closer without his knowing before he pulled up and rose again. His heart was all a flutter, nerves were rattled as he thought of what to say to her parents, what was he to say to his own parents when that time came? Oh this was going to be a lot on his mind, something he wanted off his mind. Shaking his head, Andy headed further away from home and toward Tsa's parent's home. He had to wonder what her father would think of him... That was yet another burden to let go... Hopefully...*

By virtue of knowing the terrain, it was Tai who arrived in the achingly familiar orchard first; and it was also Tai who whickered a low, heartfelt call for his mate, his Esper.
Crousader, who arrived not a moment behind him, remained discreetly above the trees, allowing Tai this moment. He even debated turning wing and heading back to the Elderwillow camp; but an odd chill in his blood kept him hovering over Tai and Esper's orchard. He hadn't forgotten the recent tales of murder and mayhem in the territories surrounding the peaceful Islagiatt lands, nor of the stories told about the mutant who lived in the dark forest on the northern borders between the mountains feet and the dismal badlands of the silver desert. No, as peaceful as this moment would be for the pair, he would remain in the skies... a silent silver guardian against any evil that would dare cross these herd boundaries.

Esperanza raised her head as her ears swiveled to catch the oh so familiar call. She opened her eyes, and her nose went to sniff the air that surrounded her.
Could that be her Tai? Her beloved? If it was, then she was doing well with the thinking of Soquili and having the come and find her. It had happened a few times as of late, all except for Marahute.
She rose to her feet, pushing herself off the grass and emerging herself into the sun which was particularly nice this day.
Her creme mane was blown in the wind as she let out her own call back to her mate. She couldnt see him, in fact, she couldnt smell him because the slight wind couldnt pick which way it actually wanted to blow.
So she waited, listening for the call of her lover, and flicking her tail.
"Tai?"

*how far did Tsa's parent's live? Wings shuddering a bit at his sides, Andy had to wonder if he had gone in the wrong direction or something. Coming to somewhat of a halt within the air and looked around. The wounds he had gotten within Azumoth's domain had healed quite nicely, though he still had some small, very light scaring. It wouldn't matter now, they could hardly be seen.*
"Now where.. Oh!" Hemuttered soon catching a glimpse of something flashing in the air.
*It looked like something metal... up here? There was only one way to find out and that was to go closer... With a couple beats of his wings, Andy headed forward toward the silver sparkle. When he drew closer, it soon became apparent that whatever was reflecting the sun's light wasn't exactly all metal. It was another wind, like himself. Maybe this one knew where to find Esper, or at least point him in the right direction. Though in the far back reaches of his mind, Andy was a bit terrified to speak to anyone after what Tsa's brother had put him through.*
"Eh... Hello?" he called out, not knowing what kind of reply he would get back in return...

All the words Tai had been yearning to say froze in his throat and his body moved of it's own accord into her view from the shade of the dense undergrowth. Then all he could do was stop and stare, and wonder.
Time, it seemed, hadn't touched her; wouldn't dare when she stood so beautifully in the tossing breeze like a golden angel come down from heaven. His angel, the beauty who had graced him with a happiness he hadn't know he missed, and filled the part of him he hadn't known he had lost.
Some small part of his mind was laughing at himself, he was how old? And still the poetry of her in his mind was as fresh and invigorating as it had been when they had first met. HE was still reduced...or enlightened.... to the young stallion of yester-year when she was near him, thinking of her in terms of bright sunny days and long, passionate, summer nights.
Adulthood indeed.
Finally he managed another whicker and staggered forward the remaining steps, wanting nothing else then to bury his head in her creamy mane and never leave her side again.
- - -
Curving back around, Crousader caught sight of the younger wind stallion's approach from the corner of his eye, and the hopelessly romantic scene Tai was making below him from the corner of his other eye.
Alas, best to deal with the young stranger and pass up the chance to tease Tai about his antics. For all that Crous was older then Tai, and a great deal more serious, he did enjoy a few jokes here and there.
"Greetings." the white stallion finally replied, backwinging so he hovered midair... and could likewise level the strange stallion with a icy blue stare. Briefly he pondered passing the time by harranging this stranger about his motives for entering Islagiatt territory, but he couldn't smell anything dangerous about him. And Crousader wasn't the most brilliant of conversationalists...
"Fine day yes?" Well maybe he could be brilliant.

Esperanza bound over to her mate, keeping her eyes happy, and a song in her heart.
She smiled as she ran to him, she seemed to be flying. Her feet couldnt carry her fast enough as she raced to be at his side as he stepped out of the growth of the forest.
Kicking her feet into the air, she reared up, and offered her muzzle into a gentle caress of his neck.
"Tai!"
She smiled, her eyes happy and light. Yes, she was older, but her eyes were that of a yearling with all her love. She was like.. a lovestruck yearling.
She shook her head looking at him happily, offering a little lick to his cheek.
"How have you been darling?"

*Andre had come to a less then graceful halt within the skies, looming over the very lands he had sought to come to. To speak to the parents on his one and true. Feathers fluffing a bit he watched this stallion who bore a set of wings much like his own, though were more like his mothers in the purity of white. Ears turning forward, Andre listened to this stallion as he seemed less of a talker as he himself were.*
"Ah.. I guess so..." He said half heartedly. "I came looking for Esper, Tsaluyi's mother. That and her father, I wish to speak to them."
*Oh yes, he sounded most convincing in the least. For the most part he had yet to even look below his very hooves toward the small clearing where Esper had rushed to meet her mate. He might not have really been the brightest in his family when it came to words, but when they did come out, he meant them. For the most part anyways...*

Relishing her close proximity, Tai curved his neck around so his body loosely encircled hers, and he could bury his face in her glowing mane. His words, what few he could muster, were muffled by her hair. "Never better then I am now." he said, closing his eyes.
Eventually...
"I missed you Esper." He said plainly, prying himself away enough that he could actually speak.
- -
Noting a kindred non-talker spirit, Crousader decided to cut straight to the chase. "You don't sound to pleased by the notion lad, so if you don't mind my asking, why do you seek Tai and Esperanza, and how do you know Tsaluyi?"
Not that Crousader liked prying, but he supposed the longer he kept the youngster's attention, the more alone time Tai could have with Esper.

Esper unburied her head from his own golden locks that Marahute had indeed inherited from him.
She smiled, and nodded, looking into his eyes of brown with her equally as pleasing eyes.
"I have missed you too love."
She was going to say more, in fact her mouth was open to say more as a glint of shine caught her eyes.
Her ears swiveled and she brought her eyes to the heavens, to see Crousader and his heavily armored body..
But the other one. She had seen him before. She.. Wait!
"Tai, look."
She motioned to the sky with her muzzle and looked back at him.
"I do believe that is Tsa's beau!"
She said, keeping her eyes on the other stallion in hopes of being proven right.

*Well that was a kick to the ol' pin feathers, but he supposed that anyone who knew of Tsa and her family would ask him. Her brother had interrogated him of his intentions. He had come through then and he was sure he could do the same now. Though his golden gaze her to glance own at the ground for a moment before looking back at the armored stallion before him.*
"The sun could be a little cooler, that's all." He smiled before racking his brain to answer the other questions that had come his direction. "I only wish to speak to them of mine and Tsaluyi's coming together and becoming a pair bond." he begane feeling a bit sheepish. "I have knowing Tsaluyi since I had been in a basket, she took to me like.. Well... A stream to a river. We've bonded and have planned to become even closer."
*Andre could only hope that this stallion, whom ever he was, believed him, for it all was true. Andre was in love with Esper's daughter with all his heart and would seek nothing more then to please her every whim if that is what she had wanted. To Andre's mind, Tsa was a shining goddess he would follow until his time upon the earth had ended and they both left to the skies to be forever in each other's company.*
