Poza yawned as she slipped through the rogue lands, not in any place she could identify. She had left the Kusini lands a long time ago. That male was now of the past...

She sighed softly and tried to keep on the look out for something high up so she could get a look around. Ah! She grinned and moved forward, climbing to the top of a termite mound. She stood for a long while, her gaze on the sky instead of her surroundings. A sky that matched her eyes perfectly!

A similar though much larger set of paws padded through the long grass. Afiya primarily lived in the dumabara lands but just lately his paws had pulled him out in to the world on short day or week trips. He wasn't sure how far away he was from home nad really, it didn't matter, the world was his to explore and so he did. Though Afiya could be described as an adolecent now, he far outsized most chetahs. The young male had certainly grown up to live up to his name, strength.

Padding along with his head in the air, a soft breeze rustling the still slightly fluffy fur ont he back of his neck, he looked every bit the cocky youth. Which of course he felt he was. Afiya had long decided he was undefeatable, and though he was a friendly enough youngster he could be very cocky especially around those smaller than himself.

It wa sthen that when the female cheetah seemingly 'popped' out of the grass that he quickly covered up the fact that she had startled him, clearing his throat importantly he raised a brow and called out to the femme. "You know you could frighten someone to death popping up like that."

Poza blinked and looked around almost in a daze. Someone else was there? She had been very spacey since leaving the kusini lands, since the disappearance of her first love... since many things. Your first heartbreak was always your hardest, wasn't it? She was no longer the cheerful little beam of sunshine she was was... no now she was more like the patch of earth the sun chose to warm, lazy and calm.

She smiled faintly as her eyes landed on the other cheetah. He was similar to her with his 'golden' upper body and his creamy markings... but different as well. Her eyes rolled over the markings that replaced his spots, sliding comfortably and almost hypnotically. "I doubt my soul has in mind killing anyone." She offered, half apologetic and half teasing. Though she was not an adult she had grown a lot mentally over the last few months of her life.

"In any case that is what a good predator should be able to do, is it not? Sneak around and then pop out?" She was not bitter sounding, she had done this all on accident, she was merely curious of his opinion.

The big male sat slowly, his markings rippling with his mucles. He was clearly a well cared for young male, his golden eyes shimmering with life, with happiness, with that glint of a soul untarnished. "Well you really don't look the type for assassination." He grinned cheekily, a little laugh escaping his lips as he rolled his shoulders and scratched behind one of his ears with a back paw. He was trying very hard to seem none-challant, he liked to seem like he didn't care about others oppinions, he felt it made him seem aloof and powerful, though it probably did not.

"I suppose you're right, though I usually hunt for my lunch when I 'pop'. Do you often hunt male cheetahs?" A smirk then as he sat up straight his thick set shoulders tencing beneath his fur. His eyes danced playfully, he didn't even know who this female was but it seemed in an instant to him that she was rather oppinionated, he couldn't help but appreciate that, he liked oppinionated people, they were so much more fun to chat to.

She watched him and suddenly something that seemed rather funny to her popped into her mind. She started to grin in a rather creepy manner. "Yes but those who don't look the part of the assassin usually are the killers, don't you agree?" She said, leaning forward and looking as menacing as she could. She was play-acting the part of a 'killer'.

Her tail slowly curled around her small body and her amused face dropped. "Hunt male cheetahs? Certainly not... I have more of a taste for male lions." She said, not embarrassed at all that she was linking her words to preferences in mates, not in actual hunting. He had asked! "But I gave up that hunt a long time ago." She said, her voice dropping. Okay so now she was just being a little dramatic, but could you blame her? She'd talked to hardly anyone in near two months.

With a look of fake shock crossing his face he looked over the little female, hiding the smile which peered through his eyes. "Well my mother always says don't judge a cat by it's spots, so perhaps you are an assassin." He let that smile slip on to his maw then and he gave a swift little bow. "The names Afiya, Sone of Colche eldest of the terrible Trins and your name oh frightening hassasin?" He raised a brow his head lifting as he looekd up at the golden female, his deep yellow eyes glimmering playfully.

Of course she caught him a little abashed as she mentioned lions, she had suddenly become less than playful, but he shrugged it off. He never did understand women. "I wouldn't hunt a lion myself, bit too hairy it would get stuck in your teeth." He chuckled, a quick smirk lifting his lips to flash those pale sharp teeth beneath.

She found herself laughing. "You have jokes." She stated with a grin that did her beauty much justice.

His introduction was long and not much of it she followed but she just nodded. "It is a welcome meeting Afiya, my name is Poza'Ardhi but you may call me Poza." It was simple, fast. Cuter than her full name, she thought.

"Well yes, in any case lion hunting is a very hairy business and not for the faint of heart. I think that is why I gave it up." She shifted and started to come down from the termite mound so she could talk to him on level grounds.

Afiya winked roguishly his long tail whipping the ground. "Well it's just as well it's not the only thing I have really, I can't imagine joking a gazelle to be my lunch." He raised a cheeky brow.

Afiya always thought that his introduction was very good, infact he felt it was an amazing way to introduce yourself but others never seemed to think so, they usually just looked at him baffled, Poza was no different, still she seemed fun so he let her confusion over his title slide. "Poza, pretty name, you live around here Poza? Just passing through myself though I wouldn't say no to a spot of lunch." He grinned again then, those eyes dancing ever so playfully as she padded down the termite mound "lets go for something with a few less teeth hmm? Theres plenty of veggie snarfers round here, lion would just give you a hairball really." he snikkered.

Afiya truely didn't realise he was trying to be charming, this was just the usual him, cocky, cheeky and boyish

Oh he had jokes! She giggled more and realized how nice it was being around someone so full of joy. It made her feel her old self again. "It's true, I never have heard of a gazelle laughing its self to death... Zebras on the other paw.." She trailed off, just joking around with him.

Her stomach rumbled at the mention of food and she nodded. "Lunch sounds lovely." She smirked and rolled her eyes. "Lions meat is a bit tough for most cheetahs to handle anyways." Teasing him more she nipped his side and started to slip into the grass. "This way, best hunting spot I know."

This implied she did live in these parts, but she didn't answer right away. "I guess you could call it my home. Or perhaps anti-home, seeing as I am free to roam where ever and call it 'home'."

Letting a little laugh roll off his tongue the golden eyed male followed the small female "You know, you may be right, do you think a zebras stripes would fall off if it laughed too hard?" He grinned, that constantly cocky roguish grin sperading far accross his gold and tan features.

He watched her carefully as she padded before him trying to think up another quip for her, it wasn't usually too hard to the witty Afiya to find some sort of cocky remark, this time he was stumpped. A very rare occurance indeed.

"A roamer huh? Well I live in the Dumabara lands, tis kind oif a place for cheetahs to live together, off in that sorta direction." He waved a paw in a random direction. he knew which way his home was and he also knew he must return there in a few days. His mother would worry if he did not check in. Though this was annoying he hated to see her worry she had been a very good mother to him and his brothers.

"So do all trail blazing ladies know what lions taste like? My mother always says steer clear of them they bite before they roar, never really met one myself, come face to face with a few leopards though. Not quite as hairy as lions, maybe we could hunt one of them?" He let a rough chuckle escape his lips then as he caught up with her, he wanted to make her laugh but he knew full well that hunting was a very serious buisness, between them though, he guessed they could pull something larger than normal down.

She just smiled, shaking her head softly. She was starting to grow quiet, if only because she knew they were close to the watering hole. She would tell him to quiet in a moment, for now it was alright to listen to his voice.

"So it's like a pride of lions using cheetah?" She asked, glancing over her shoulder with a confused face. Cheetah were usually solitary creatures, unless with kits or around mating season. Wasn't that right? Well maybe that was just her.. "Do you have many members?" She asked slowly, looking back the way she came.

Poza snorted. "I hardly would know that, I don't have any friends and I don't study others' preference in male cheetahs or lions." She shrugged her tiny shoulders. "And leopards are the most temperamental things I have ever been unfortunate enough to meet. Quiet now, we're getting close.

"Yeah thats what my mother used to say to me, she told me that cheetahs live alone but in the coalition lands we are welcome to live together, to protect each other from the larger perdators that prey upon our well being." It was a blurb he had been told from very young, his motehr had woven tales of the outside world to him, and he had always taken them to heart. Although he now wandered quite often, he still returned home to the safty of the Dumabara, partially to protect his family from the larger creatures. Afiya knew, if nothing else, howe to fight, being so large, unusually so infact, he could protect his family single handed at least for a while. The coalition lands was a safe haven and he wouldn't abandon it for too long.

"Theres a few of us there yeah, my mother and my brothers and her new mate, she's having cubs at the moment, so I try to be a lil more scarce, dson't think i fancy seeing my own ma give birth, would be kinda weird. Plus theres laio and a couple of others I don't see very often." He quietened then, his back lowering so that his fur mingled with the whispey grass, his golden eyes watchful. He was ready for a decent hunt his stomach empty from his journeying.

Actually it sounded pretty nice, a home where you could live easy. She didn't comment on it though, she had to concentrate! She was an okay hunter, you had to be when you lived alone.

She nodded her head toward the left and turned to look him in the eye. 'there' she mouthed, so she wouldn't make any noise. To the left sat a small group of gazelle, about a fourth were young and perfect for hunting!

Afiya gave a silent nod, he wasn't one to go for anything by halves though and he had his eye on one of the larger does. It would be plenty for the both of them that was for sure, plus it would give him a chance to show off his skills. Afiya had grown up with two brothers and they had always hunted together always bringing some back for their mother even though she insisted she could hunt on her own. Now though, he was alone, with a female who was smaller than his brothers. Still, he had enough weight behind him to take down a doe, he usually did the weight part while one of his brothers took out the beasts jugular.

Winking he mouthed 'when you're ready' at her slipping off through the grass, his body close to the ground, invisable to the small herd. His eyes focused. It didn't take him long to single out a doe lurking near the edges and without a second thought he leapt from the grass, using those powerfully built legs to propell him accross the short distance, his claws meeting the does fleshy hide before she could even startle. Being heavier than your average cheetah the does legs toppled under his weight and he clambered up her body to pin her down, now it was her turn, he did the holding part, the throat part was always down to one of his brothers, in this case, it was down to the golden spotted femme, while the creature wriggled and bayed in his clawed embrace.

Her eyes floated between her hunting partner and the animals. Instantly as he bolted so did she, trying to pick out the one he was going for so she may assist. Suddenly he made contact with a larger and easily brought her down! Poza quickly darted in and her teeth were sinking into the flesh with out a second thought.

Warm spilled into her mother and she smiled around her death hold, the animal twitching a few times before falling still. Poza let go and stepped back, tongue rolling over her chops.
