JT114
here is mine:
C: Joe Mauer
1B: Prince Fielder
2B: Placido Polanco
3B: Ryan Zimmerman
SS: Derek Jeter
LF: Manny Ramirez
CF: Curtis Granderson
RF: Magglio Ordonez
DH: Barry Bonds
P: Brandon Webb
I hope that isn't in lineup form.
You'd have to be pretty ignorant if it was. I'm guessing he'd go with this:
1. Curtis Granderson - Excellent speed, great to start a lineup
2. Derek Jeter - It's his spot. If you have Jeter in your lineup, he's second. That's easy.
3. Magglio Ordonez - Decent speed, decent power, and an excellent contact hitter. A definite number 3 man.
4. Prince Fielder - All about power.
5. Manny Ramirez - Excellent backup for Fielder. The way I see it, it would work like it does for Ortiz and Manny.
6. Barry Bonds - Has good power, but nothing else.
7. Ryan Zimmerman - Good all around, but not as good as the guys ahead of him in the lineup.
8. Joe Mauer - Great contact hitter, but an end-of-the-lineup guy.
9. Placido Polanco - Can get his team back to the top of the lineup. A reliable hitter.
I don't know if anyone agrees, but it seems solid. Note, this isn't my lineup, it's what I think JT114 should do with his group of players.
