The story
The imperium has been at war for centuries with the forces of chaos. Even before they turned on the many other races and driven them from the earth they have held a long bitter hatred for the hellish taint of the warp. The mere mention of the chaos taint would have you burned for heresy. The inquisition holds primary power over the military and can divert entire armies to their cause on a whim. It is not to be taken lightly, what can be done to you in the name of purity.
The inquisitorial council (the supreme authority of the land that surpasses even the monarchy) is in a frenzy. They let no information escape their lips of the heresy, but rumors have surfaced anyway.
"The chaos gods are leaving the warp"
"Nurgle has deployed the unclean one on our borders"
There were many rumors but no one could know it was bigger than their minds could concieve. A war was coming that would end the imperium... if they would crumble beneath it.
The rules:
1 Try to keep your posts even. its never any fun to fall behind
2 No godmodding. this is war you can get hurt.
3 Keep to the scene. This is a medieval fantasy role play
4 No guns. Muskets and hand cannons accepted but nothing modern.
5 Be literate. typos happen but make sure people can understand what you're saying.
6 Keep your posts AT LEAST three sentences long.

Chaos:
1 Insanity or devious intelligence.
2 Your character is spawned of taint from the warp wich slowly mutates them (the warp is the equivalent of hell) Tentacles or decaying flesh, anyway you can disfigure them to your liking is good.
3 Your character is best of being a sorcerer, a demon, or a knight tainted by chaos
Imperium:
1 You are the epitome of holyness. the mere mention of the taint sparks your disgust.
2 You're human
3 Your military class could be anything from a foot soldier to a war scout
Nuetral
1 Your race is of elf ork or dwarf. You fight for order though the imperium condems you for being of the xenos (latin for alien or someone different)
2 If elf, or eldar you have basic phyker abilities. You're either a farseer (wizard or witch), or like the imperium your char could range from several military functions
3 The dawrfs are mainly out to protect their clan. They have A distinct distaste for magic. They can range from any type of fighter.
Misc.
Orks
They are barabaric and war like. They have no diplomacy, not even among themselves. All they know is war and thats all they live for.
The skirmish
An army stands at the base of a hill facing the sun. their eyes are sheilded by their own faith as they stand ready to charge. Facing them parralel to the hill slope another army stands, their font line bracing spears into the ground for a charge sheild. the aggressing army is unaware of the flank laying in wait just over the hill. Their eyes blinded by the over whelming insanity pushed into their minds by the warp. The cultists among them shake and tremble in spasms as the knights stare through black absent eyes.
The commanding officer of the flank looks over a boulder perched on the hill side. he brushes his bangs from his face and watches intently for his que to strike. He wears a vest of chain mail over leather slacks and a bow rests strung on the ground beside him. his company consists mostly of long bow men but a second spear wall was assigned to block any charges up hill.
