Ambling along the wooden path wasn't turning out as fun as he'd imagined, the company he'd shared with the two mares he'd known since childhood (well, met as a child) were gone for a moment. His family was busy with their own problems, and around these times he'd make sure to dissapear from sight. The family didn't need him around, nor didhr need them nosing into his life. The last thing he wanted was for them to find out just where he'd been going for all this time when he'd run off for short periods of time.

...or where he'd gotten the wounds from, which were now on their final phase of being scabbs. Luckily for the stallion his skin and immune system had fought infection and scarring, so after it was completely healed he'd have very little to show from it. It had been a bit of a judgement error on both his and Ezriel's behalf, but he didn't hold it against the mutant anyways.

None the less, the dark teal stallion walked drudgily along the soil while his firey red orbs remained locked on the ground. Lately all the male had been doing was thinking, pondering, debating with himself. Heck, he was turning into Marius if he knew he wasn't that lazy and snappy. Where was Isis and Analae when he needed some venting to do....or better yet, where was his damned father? That would surely satisfy any yelling he'd need to get off his chest!

It was just his luck that the dark forcast began to come true like his mother had told him; as the grey and ebony skies began to rain. It slowly grew in intensity yet Zevach paid little mind to it, walking through the darker foest gave him some protection while the rest of the drops dampened and rolled down his pelt.

"For crying out loud...." He hissed. It was just his day it seemed.

She'd managed to slip away from her parents, Chepi and Blake had been busy finding shelter for the night as they were far from the home they shared as a family herd.

She tossed her tricolored mane with a laugh, she sped forward, her wings were spread slightly as she continued forward, the dark clouds rolling in didnt seem to effect her in the slightest as she continued without a care in the world. Close at her side was a wolf, his coloring much like the exotic sugar glider, Sin was her mothers companion and her protector, much to her dismay.

The sky above opened up and poured its life upon the filly, her ivory coat darkened to an off white as she then sped into the dark looking forest, slowing down, her ears perked up. "Hmmm.." She murmured, she hadnt been here before.

The movement of the stallion not to far ahead, caught her attention, her ears perked forward. What fun so far...

The rain poured down harder and harder by the minute; only slowing slightly thanks to the canopy of leaves catching some of the droplets fall before they could reach the soil. None the less, Zevach wasn't one for rain this feirce...and if the wind picked up it would be even worse. There was nothing more unfun than windy rain slashing at one's sides thats for sure.

His sulking would just have to wait.

Turning around as he shook the water from his mane in a fruitless mannor, his eyes fell on something bright and almost glowing amongst the monotone hues around him. Hell, even his own teal coat blended in with the dreary atmosphere. Yet the filly was something else, shades of the sun with her small wings and hair; her leg markings almost looking as if they should be an armor or something. None the less, he stood tall as he walked forth and did not stray from the path he was originally going to take anyways. Yet as he approached the foal, he looked down at her; momentarily pausing in his step.

"You shouldn't be out in these woods during a storm, even with your wolf....you might be safe from predators and Kalonas....yet if you get sick; when the rain stops you'll be someone's lunch." He spoke, not so much scolding the foal....yet stating the information in a matter of factly tone. It wasn't his buisness if she heeded his words or not. Yet at least she wouldn't die oblivious.

As the rain fell heavier and harder with what seemed each step she took, she stopped all together. Her ears flickered randomly as raindrops slid over them. It tickled, as the stallion grew closer, her amber gaze shifted to Sin who was soaking wet.

With a flicker of movement a single wing opened and covered her friend, water sliding off the waterproof feathers. She continued to watch him come closer and closer, her head tilted to the side as a brow slowly arched.

"Your out here, the same could happen to you. I wont get sick, the rain isnt cold." She twitched slightly as her wet coat seemed to absorb more water to her dismay. She tilted her head further to the side, her usually spiky mane was flat against her neck, plastered to her face. "Couldn't I get sick before the rain stops? What if I'm already sick? How do you know I don't have anywhere else to go hmm?" she could spit out questions like the clouds did rain. She tried to toss her mane, but it did nothing. She smiled up at him, oh indeed was he fun.

Oh, great. More mares with smart mouths. When was it he'd have the pleasure of meeting someone mute who couldn't retort to everything he said? Rolling his eyes a bit in dismay, he stared down to the pair; a bit odd...but oh well.

"For starters...i'm bigger and older than you. I have a better immune system and can protect myself against the elements moreso than your body can." He huffed, flicking the water out of his tail with a sift motion while leanding his head down to become eye level with the foal. "Furthermore, If you were already sick I doubt your mother would be letting you wander; and you don't look so now....but rain can do funny things i'll tell you what." Sneering slightly, he didn't know what mares saw in foals....they wern't that cute.

"If you have somewhere else you need to go...then be my guest and leave." Snorting, he watched as the sunny filly kept on smiling....why was she even doing that anyways? There was certianly no reason he could find that would leave such a bright smile on her face on a day like this. Yet....he couldn't find the heart to be mean to her. "Don't let me hold you up...." Side stepping around the filly, he slowly kept walking.....very....very slowly. Hopefully she wouldn't be watching when he snuck a glance back to make sure if she was going or going to stay in that one spot.

Oh fun, another stuffy adult..She too rolled her eyes at his reaction a slight shake of her head. They were always a blast she thought with a sigh.

"Being bigger than me doesnt prove anything.." She scrunched her nose at him with a snort, "And your old, which means its not to much better than mine. Your emu system that is." She flicked her ear again, darn rain. "Rain is something to be treasured..My mother says its one of the better gifts from the gods..besides icky love." She stuck her tongue out. Boys were gross. She didnt know what mares saw in stallions, they werent that handsome..

Her eyes widened slightly, as she watched him trot past him. Staring straight head, she was a bit baffled, her tail flickered as she huffed. "Well that was..blah boys." She stomped her hooves slightly before she began to trot away. "I didnt want to talk to him anyways Sin.." she sounded as if her feelings were slightly hurt as she chatted to the wolf.

Gifts huh?

His own mother had spoken of gifts...likewise with his father. He often said one of the greatest gifts was the unseen world around one's self and the gift to be able to share it with that special someone. He'd found that special flutter in his heart when around Cosette....Zevach didn't get it then; yet he was starting to understand the Stallion's wisdom now. Lowering his lids halfway, he watched the rain slide down the large leaves off a bush...true he might have not seen all the wonders the world had to offer yet like his nomadic father; but someday.

On his glance back, the teal stallion felt a pang of guilt watching the smile fade from the filly's mouth as she trotted onwards in the opposite direction. Pursing his lips lightly and cocking his head curiously...an odd sensation drew over him as he turned to rip the largest leaf he could find at the stem and slowly followed the filly.

Once close enough, he adjusted the leaf in his mouth to stick out as his height gave him a slight advantage to loom over her a bit to allow the leaf to act like a perfect umbrella. He tried to let a smile curl onto his lips; the best appology he could muster for the time being.

"Yuh dun nuheed to tahlk eef yuh dun whanna, buht leht meh ehscort yeh to whur yuhr goeen." Zevach offered....he didn't have anything better to do; or anything to do at all. And he'd feel particularily bad if something did happen to this filly anyways.

As the shadow loomed over her, she almost jumped out of her skin. Spinning around, she stared at him wide eyed. Her little heart racing as fast as it could go without bursting out of her chest, Sin let out a growl at her reaction, the green eyed wolf eyed the stallion slowly before his shackles lowered.

Closing her eyes, she then slowly opened them and sent a glance at Sin. "Its okay boy, its not his fault..Boys are oafs." She looked up at him, and the leaf, she couldn't help but smile. "A big ol' silly one at that." Zarimunia was plagued with nightmares, of things she couldn't remember, to bad she didn't know they'd only get worse as she grew into an adult.

"I'm Zarimunia.." She said, she'd yet to offer her name to the stranger, her mother would have a heart attack at her lack of manners. Another thing she'd learn later at the joy of the heartless Pandora, her mother wasn't her real mother.."Escort hmm?" She nodded her head before she opened her other wing and shielded his hooves. "Cant let your emu system get sick either.." She smiled at him.

Adjusting the leaf a bit better in his mouth so that he could actually speak without slurring so much; his eyes drifted down to watch as the smile once again returned to the filly's lips. And strangely...that made him feel better again. Walking forth once more to match her pace, he knew not where they were going but trusted that Zarimunia had some sort of plan....for she had a craft enough tongue he'd have to watch himself.

"Zarimunia huh....pretty nice." He commented, a bit suprised to meet someone else with a 'Z' name, for not too many had them as of late. "I'm Zevach...." He paused, unable to help cracking a smile at her pronounciation of immune. Although he was pretty sure his hooves didn't need to be shielded...he supposed it was the thought that counted.

"Thanks...but I think my em- Immune system will be fine for now." He shot a glance to the wolf at her side, "So who's that, and where are we off to today?" He asked, in accordance to where he would be escorting her to.

She looked to Sin who was still watching the stallion as if he were about to steal something. She lowered her muzzle and whispered sweet calming things to him, her mother said she had a gift with other creatures. She prided herself in being able to bring the birds out of the trees. Upon calming him down, she looked back to Zevach, he was something else alright she thought with a smile. She liked him.

"Thanks, Zevach..You have a Z too!" she jumped a bit excitedly, that was another thing others looked at her oddly for, her name. Who had a Z name these days? It wasnt very common, she flicked her tail and sighed a bit saddened by it.

"This is Sin, hes my mothers companion...they've been together since she was in her basket.." She nodded her head, Sin shot him a look as he kept his gaze on the filly now. "To the waterfall! Sin promised to teach me to swim.." She giggled, a clap of thunder echoed over head, she'd never heard it before. Ears pinning against her head, she tried to hide herself in her wings.

"Sin huh?" Zevach raised a brow and looked down to the little creature; seeing the displeasure in its eyes. Biting his bottom lip, he gave a small nod to Sin once Zari seemed to have calmed him down with some strange mumblings. What confused him more was the fact that she smiled at him when it was all done.

"Well, Z names are the best ones." The Stallion huffed, a smirk gracing his face.

"Since basket? Huh, isn't that something." He didn't think anyone he knew had a little....companion. Given it wasn't hers, it seemed that Sin would be with whomever wandered off from the family. Zevach wondered what it would be like to have someone like that in his family; yet he knew he'd despise the creature; since then he couldn't train with Ezriel. The creature would probably have its hands full with Eponine anyways; his airheaded sister would need it so much more than he or his brother.

"Teaching you to swim? Its really easy to do; I assure you." He didn't quite know where one was but assumed that Sin did. Once the thunder clapped over head, Zevach glanced down to the Filly to see her try and hide herself as he rolled his eyes slightly in more of a bemused mannor than anything. Taking a step back and forewards he walked above her to shield the filly from anything the sky could toss at them.

"Thunder won't hurt ya, its just the clouds yelling at each other when they all keep bumping together. Its loud; but harmless." Leanding his head down he tugged at the fillie's hair, before shooting a glance to Sin. "Soo...uhh, Sin; how far till the falls?"
PostPosted: Fri Nov 23, 2007 5:37 am

"Yes Sin.." She repeated a bit slowly, as if he were deaf, she shook her head. Growns up were so strange, she hoped to stay the way she was forever she thought with a smile. It'd be so nice to be free like this, without the strangeness of adulthood.

"Heck yeah!" she exclaimed happily with a small stomp of her hooves. Maybe this strange adult wasnt that bad..right?

"Yeps, thats what my momma says..And the human seems to be a friend too, though I'm not quiet sure about her.." She wondered if one day she'd have her own companion and not be stalked by the keeper her mother had placed upon her, but then she was an only child at the moment. It was for her best she knew, there were monsters out there that'd gobble up little foals.

"You can swim!? Amazing.." She giggled as she teased him, looking up as he protected her from that monstrous sound that had echoed over head. She didn't know what it was, she tilted her head to the side. "Thunder?..Why are they yelling at each other?" she asked with an arched brow. Sin nudged her leg, he wanted her to return to her mother, She looked to Sin, and then to the stallion. "Sin says I should go back to my momma, that this thunder can lead to nasty lighting.." She pouted slightly.

"Can I find you again?" she asked looking at him hopefully as he tugged at her mane. She smirked and giggled a bit, tugging on one of his braids.

"My Grandpa has a human companion, or so my father says. Father was a wanderer from when he was a colt so he said he never really got involved too much with the two leggers." Zevach shrugged; personally he had yet to meet one himself...but it seemed from what others told him he wasn't missing a hellavu lot. Shaking his head with a bit of a bemused smile on his lips he let out a sarcastic laugh at her tease. "Yeah yeah....at least I ain't learning anymore like you are now." True; all foals had to start somewhere like he did....but Zarimunia didn't have to know that now did she.

"Clouds like their space....thats why you can see them rolling by on calm sunny days. Some decide to be little brats like you, and thus big arguments happen and they get dark and angry. They sometimes like to throw lighting at each other.....some of them drop down here; so you gotta be careful." He nodded wisely and chuckled....before offering an understanding grin. "That would be best; she's probably worried about you."

"Of course you can find me again... just beyond the woods is a meadow; and when you follow the sun in the morning across the grass you'll see a small valley with a stream at the bottom. I visit there regularily in the morning hours....thats where you can find me." Offering a rare peaceful smile, he stopped in his steps to let the filly walk out from under him. "You both get home alright....catcha later Zari; Sin." Turning around in the direction to which he came, Zevach flicked his tail as he headed back to his own home.

Heavens knew how worried his mother would be too.
