Gender: Female
Age: 7
Family: Faiza (Mother), Karim (Father), and Mazin (Elder Brother)
Place of Birth: Eastern Air Temple
Location: Currently resides in the Earth Kingdom
Appearance: Dark brown hair cut into a pixie cut, with a single clip clipped into it. Her eyes are a dark hazel color, and her outfit consists of a simple, short dress, with plain sandals. Being the constantly optimistic child she is, she usually has a smile on her face.
Personality: Bubbly, optimistic, and unladylike are pretty simple descriptions of Alya's personality. She always looks on the bright side of things, and even in the worse situations, she tries to keep herself and others positive. Of course, one can be too optimistic, and Alya is an example of such. Dense and naive, she's easily tricked and often very careless. On top of all this, she holds a rather short attention span.
Unlike some girls, she's not exactly ladylike either. Fancy dresses, jewelry and dolls never caught her attention as much as other toys and weapons did. It's not unlikely to find her playing outside with bugs, or in the dirt. Though not a complete tomboy, the dresses she prefers to wear are usually quite simple, with small pieces of jewelry every so often. As much as her mother tries to make her daughter girlier, her attempts usually end in failure.
Background: Despite the fact she was born in the Eastern Air Temple, Alya and her family moved shortly after she was born. Her mother Faiza - who too, had been born in the Eastern Air Temple - met her father - Karim -when he had been travelling for reasons of business. Falling in love, the two settled down for a while, eventually giving birth to Alya's elder brother, Mazin, and then Alya.
However, not long after the girl was born, Karim realized that with such a low economy, it would be far more difficult to earn income to take care of his family. Thus, after some deliberation with Faiza, they decided to move to the Earth Kingdom, where the economy was far higher, and start new careers to earn what they could.
Annnd continued later, when Kai isn't lazy.

Faiza - Mother - Alya most likely got her cheerful nature from her mother. Similarly to her daughter, Faiza always has a bright outlook on things, no matter how tough it gets. It's hard for her to say no, and thus, leaves most of the decision making to her husband. Faiza completely adores her children, but seems to act more like an elder sister than a mother at times. She was born at the Eastern Air Temple, but eventually left and moved to the Earth Kingdom.
Karim - Father - The serious one, he holds most of the decisions in the family. Working as a blacksmith, he earns the majority of the family's income. Though most would feel rather resentful for having to do most of the work, the rather rough man has a soft heart when it comes to his family. He was born in Earth Kingdom.
Mazin - Elder Brother - The thirteen year old is like most other brothers - cruel, mean, and loves to tease his sister. Though his relationship with Alya sometimes teeters between love and hate, the two siblings have a close bond. Mazin often keeps an eye out on his younger sister and, when given the chance, spoils her with the ocassional gift.

Toshiro - Mm, he seems like a pretty serious boy! Other than that, I don't really know much about him.
Shen-Ru - He's really quiet! I don't really know anything about him, but I think he's from the Earth Kingdom?
Tingzhe - A boy from a circus! And he's a firebender! He's pretty nice, and talkative, but to be honest, I don't know much about him either.
