I know that Haseo is said to be Sora, but is there any proof of this? (if there is something in Vol. 3, then I'll get there, so don't tell me ^^. I just beat Vol. 2 today). But what my real question is... if Haseo is Sora, why is he so against PKing? Wasn't Sora a PKer himself? Lol.

Yeah, the official Japanese guidebook says so.
Apparently the player lost his memories of The World after he awoke from his coma and his parents hid the ordeal from him. Also, the Sign episode "Unison" is either non-canon or the Sora that appeared in that episode was the AI.
That's why Haseo didn't know anything about The World, PKing, or anything related. He forgot about his experiences with it xD
Sora was 10 when he was data drained by Skeith, The World R:2 takes place 7 years after, and Haseo is 17. Both of them have the same offline name as well.
It makes perfect sense to me D: Why are people still doubting this?

When I found out, what really biffed me was how much different they are personality wise. Makes me wonder if he got a different attitude after the coma, or if something else happened in his childhood to give him that arrogant attitude you see so much during the first game. XD
Otherwise, yeah. Sora = Haseo. A few more of those other R:1 char = R:2 char got me, too. p: They just changed a whole lot.

Well, Sora was little at the time so of course he'd be immature. I also read somewhere that Haseo went to a private school for boys so maybe that changed him? Haseo didn't seem arrogant during Roots, it just seemed like he went along with things as they came until Shino died--which probably triggered his G.U personality.

@Harakibi- Oh, I wasn't doubting it, I was just confused as to where the information had come from, lol. I've never seen the official Japanese guidebook before. It makes sense though, now that I've read that explination. I was just expecting that it would later become as obvious as it became that Endrance is Elk.
@Destry- I know what you mean. When I first heard that, my expresion was 'wait.... he can't be Sora!' just because he didn't act a thing like him at all.
