what about xenogears? xenogears has been out for a while for ps1 but it is actually xenosaga ep.5....I love xenogears more than ff7....so who else knows what I'm talking about?

I know...xenogears was so awesome...but...one of the characters in xenogears is a kung-fu/ sword master/ science genius named Citan Uzuki....and we all know that the main character of Xenosaga is named Shion Uzuki....and xenosaga ep. 2 there is a swordsman named Jin Uzuki, so Citan has to be a descendant...not to mention he has both of their properties...just wait...in episode 3 or 4 there's going to be a child named Citan....count on it...

So you don't get confused, I use the Japanese spellings:
Shion Udzuki
Jin Udzuki
Shitan Udzuki ("Citan")
What's kind cool is that in Japanese all these names are Japanese, and they all begin with "shi" and end with "n". Maybe they'll introduce another Udzuki like that. Now that that's out of the way...
They're a tribute to him yes, but not directly related. First, the time gap was either 1,000 or 10,000 years, I forget, but waaay to long. Secondly Shitan is a decendant of humans who were made by Deus, not born from other humans.. Thirdly, and I don't think this is as much of a spoiler, yell at me if it is, Shitan's real name isn't even Shitan Udzuki, that's just his alias. His real name is Hyuuga Rikudou.
Now, even though they're not directly connected, and interesting note is that in one of the two original trailers for Ep I, they showed some scenes from what is now Ep II (Ep II was originally part of Ep I, but they decided to split it, which is why some of the music, etc, has names that work better with Ep II, and why it was only one disc, not two like advertised originally) with Jin wearing glasses much like Shitan's. He also wears these in the released version of Ep I for a very short scene where you see his face on a viewscreen in Shion's room. I think he looks better with them, but they got rid of them for the rest of the game(s) for some reason. He and Shitan are still two of the best characters ever, though ^^

and I know that it takes place thousands of years later... but when do you think Miang will show up on the scene of Xenosaga...because she's been around long also...because of the whole women virus thingy...

I've played the Japanese version of the game, read some of the translation of perfect works on gamefaqs, and talked to a lot of people about it... ^^;

Me? I just said I did. Unless the Japanese version doesn' count. And it my opinion it counts more than the American version ^^;;
