It was night. He semi blended in and semi did not. The dark colours of his coat matched well with night but gold stood out. He liked standing out but tonight he didn't feel like standing out much. Which was vry strange. Zei was not sure what was wrong with him this night but he just didn't care. He could just be tired, it had been a long day.
He rolled his eyes, attempting to keep a smirk on his face. Better than yawning, yawning was dull. He didn't like yawning much, well he could yawn but no way could another yawn. That would royally tick him off. When he talked, other Soquili should listen as he had very good things to say. Or at least that was what he thought. And he always was right.
Zei walked through the meadow, brushing against tall grass. His eyes shifted to glare at the grass he was walking through. If he got any in his wings, he would be furious. It would be annoying to get it out. But the tall grass did not seem to be loose, his head nodded a bit and he walked some more through it.

Bad enough it had to be night, but did she have to travel through the tall grass?! The mare snorted in annoyance as she treked through the grass, leaving a groove behind her. She wouldn't be here if she didn't take a wrong turn, but it was too late to back track now.
There were a lot of disadvantages of being a fluttercorn, her height was one of them. But there was an advantage, her wings. With a slight snort, her translucent wings fluttered, lifting her from the ground. Once her head was over the surface of the grass, she moved forward.
As she continued onward, something gold caught her eyes. Was there something out there? With a curious tilt of her head, she continued ahead. If it was something, she would see it when she got closer... she wasn't going to risk going straight towards something that could be dangerous.

Fine. He was through with this grass. He was almost out but he was lazy to walk some more through it. He spread his wings and backed up, his wings flapped as he did so. He took a little run as he eyed the grass and almost hoping, as if he would ever actually hope, that no grass bits would be found in his wings later. He was off. Wonderful feeling, to be out of all the grass. He half grinned but it was more so a smirk as that came more naturally to him than a smile could ever.
His wings moved back and forth, bringing him farther and farther away from the grass. He circled the grass when underneath the gold mask his eyes caught a glimpse of something. Something that was in the grass. He narrowed his eyes, that really knowing what it was as it was still far. He didn't want to go back all that way but he was bored and so he went, heading in the direction of where that thing was.

Fluttering through the grass, minding her own business, she had almost missed the figure flying into the air. That is... until she glanced to where it was from the corner of her eye and it was gone. This worried her for a moment, glancing around to find it. Eventually, she saw it in the air over the grass. A sigh escaped her lips and she continued forward.
Or at least, she would have, if she hadn't seen it start heading for her. Oh great... She thought, as she watched the figure cautiously. As it got closer, the fluttercorn noticed that it was another horse. This calmed her nerves slightly, but she still didn't know its intentions.

He eyed the horse. So it was a horse. Though this one was rather small. Probably a mare, but then even his mare seemed smaller than mares he knew. He swooped in close, refusing to land in the grass. It was a lot of pressure on his wings, but hopefully they'd have enough strength in them till he could land somewhere with less grass.
Zei eyed the mostly white mare, his eyes shifting to the horn and then the wings. The horn was a little odd, how could one stand having a horn on one's head? He probably could not stand it but then it looked nice enough on her. The mare's wings were strange also, like butterfly wings. "Why not fly out of there?" He didn't realize that she so small that she was already off the ground.

Her eyes watched as the other swooped close. At least she knew it was a stallion now. She watched him as he kept himself from out of the grass, slightly curious as to why he was making a big deal about doing so. She wasn't going to ask as she flew a bit further along. When the wind had asked why she didn't fly out of where she was, she looked over to him once again, wondering if he could see her fluttering wings or not. She shrugged and replied simply, "I like the feeling of the grass along my fur."

Well darn he felt stupid now as he finally noticed the fluttering wings. The mask was at fault, his eye sight was perfect and he was great at noticing things. Though he still could not shake off the feeling's of stupidity that clung to him. He turned his head away, but then turned back to the small mare. Too small, like a foal's size almost but maybe bigger.
Zei eyed the grass with slight distaste. Sure it was irritating stuff when it got caught in his feathers but obviously this mare was not moving an inch. Though perhaps he could persuade her that flying off with him was the best move? Yes he had good judgement in things, he had to be right.
"Flying out would be best, however. We could go for a stroll once you're out of there." Then he could see how tall she really was because the grass truly was tall, the size thing threw him off as she didn't seem like a foal to him. No she was an adult mare, but still the size.

She saw him turn his head away, perhaps that meant he had lost interest in her? Not that she minded interractions with other soquili, this one just had an odd way of starting things off.
Her golden eyes studied him for a moment when he proposed for her to fly out of the grass and perhaps they could walk. He seemed to have something against the grass, how he was avoiding it and all, but that made no difference. "And where do you suppose we go for this stroll?"

His gold eyes looked about, surveying the land. Over there the grass was not as large and there was only a tree here and there. "That area." He nodded in the right direction. He circled about, waiting for her. "You're quite small. You the runt in the family?" Zei couldn't help but smirk. He wondered though if she'd take the stroll with him still, now that he insulted her a little. It could get lonely, walking by yourself.

Ayanna glared lightly at him from the runt comment. Snorting, she retorted. "Yeah... I'm just as much of the runt of the family as you are the brains in yours." Why did stallions always have to say something stupid? He was interesting until he made that comment. Runt of the family... that's rich. She thought, glancing to the area where he motioned to, now debating about going on that stroll with him or not.
