Eusi slipped through the night with a vague idea of where she was headed. It had been a few days since she'd last spoken with her brother and she was in the mood to speak with him again, though she was trying to think of a different reason for bothering him.
She was stupefied of what it could be though. Perhaps she would just have to tell him the truth, as much as she would hate admitting it. She did get used to interacting with others in a short time and she did enjoy it. She wanted to be a sister again!

At this time of night, young Isithunzi was stretched out across a generously large slab of stone, in the midst of a very deserted plain. Endless amounts of golden rushes swayed in the breeze around him, stretching away from him in every direction as far as the eye could see. Splashes of moonlight drifted down through the silver-gray wisps of clouds, lighting up the area in a ghostly, but beautifully lonely manner. It was an enchanting evening, with the stars glimmering like tiny spirits against the blackness of the heavens above him. It was a night Issy could appreciate, a night lonely enough to match his saddened, lonely little soul.
He sighed softly as his bright emerald eyes gazed so longingly up at the moon, his tail flickering behind him as his paws lay crossed one over the other before him, the tips hanging over the stone beneath him slightly. The soft breeze blew his rusty toned mane in small little bursts, making it waver slowly around his face. He was, as always, thinking about the things that always plagued his mind at such dangerously empty hours of the night. He wished that, at times, he wasn’t such an insomniac.

He was up. She thought. Maybe. He was laying on a rock in any case, she couldn't see if his eyes were opened or shut yet though. As she got closer they glinted in the moonlight. Ah, so he was awake. She wondered what drove him to stay up nights... was he up for many hours both day and night? She had no way of knowing.
"Good evening." She said slowly as she lept onto the rock, sitting next to his laying form. Her eyes flickered upwards and scanned the sky but she seemed to only look briefly, because her gaze came back down to him.

Issy smiled softly as he heard the brushes part around his sister’s form, seeing the shadowy figure move out of the corner of his eye. He knew it meant Eusi, for their color was almost unheard of among the pridelanders and their bright, golden coats. It was little surprise for him then when he turned around to meet those pretty red eyes, so different from his bright green ones. He couldn’t help letting his smile broaden, flickering his tail and scooting over slowly to make room for his pretty sister.
“Good Evening yourself, stranger,” he said with a soft chuckle from his maw, turning his eyes up to the moon once more. “I didn’t think I’d see you again so soon,” he said quietly, finally turning his attention back onto her. He figured if he stared at the moon too long, it would probably arouse quite a bit of comment from her, and he didn’t need anymore revelations about his cub-like dreams.

She just smiled and shrugged in response, eyes floating over the land. "I have nothing better to do." She lied, she probably should be hunting or something. When was the last time she ate? Ah... actually not too many days ago.. she was strong, she didn't need to hunt every day. Unless she hunted things like rabbits only, of course.
"Anything new happen in your life?" She asked, head tilting.

Issy smirked as he listened to her, watching her idly as she spoke. Since the last time he had seen her, he’d been doing to the same thing he always had. He stayed up all night star gazing, and then slept through the day. Of course, there were days when he went to see Ushu and tried to get up to some sort of mischief. There were also days that he went to see his nieces and nephews, just to see what Ezzy was up to himself. He was surprised the git hadn’t already had a few more children to add to this current group.
“Nothing really,” he said finally, after deciding that nothing he had done was worth mentioning. “What about you, hm?” he asked, eyes like two emeralds against a white backdrop, gleaming beautifully in the moonlight splashing down over the clearing. He assumed that she had been up to something, or at least had been talking to someone. After all, the last time he had seen her, she was flustered about some male – even if he didn’t know who it was. There must have been something she was up to, especially if she had come around to see him again. He had been under the impression that she didn’t like her family very much.

After a minute she lied down on her side, back to him so he couldn't see her face while she spoke. For some reason she was uncomfortable looking others' in the eye. "Like my life has ever been interesting." She snorted. "Nothing for me either, Issy."
Her tail flicked. "I did run into an... old acquaintance." She guess she could call Inari that, even if their meeting had been very brief while they were young. "Its weird to see people you know all grown up. He'd jumped from a cub to an adult in a matter of minutes in my memories. Nothing in between." It was almost a little sad, really.

As she rolled over with her back facing him, he simply lowered his head down on his paws and commenced his study of the ever unchanging moon above him. It didn’t bother him, really, that she had turned away – if she was as antisocial as Issy had always assumed, then she probably had some issues having direct face-to-face conversations with others. It was probably amazing that she had even managed to convince herself to seek out his company, let alone enjoy it somewhat. “Well, I think we both lead amazingly boring lives then,” he said with a small smirk, flickering his tail slowly behind him.
“An acquaintance, yeah?” He smirked as he realized that this was yet again a male – his sister was quickly ruining that anti-social image that she had tried to hard to keep up only a little while before. Of course, saying that to her would have opened himself up to be hit or worse, and after he had finally gotten onto comfortable speaking grounds with her, he certainly didn’t want to ruin it. “Well, you grew up, didn’t you? What else did you expect him to do?” it was a slightly teasing comment, but it was a sort of sweet brotherly one.

She chuckled and rolled her eyes. "Not that he grew up." He had grown up, he was very large and powerful. Just like he'd said he'd be. "It was more of never seeing him between then and now." What was more is that he recognized her right away, though she did have the dark pelt that was a rarity in the pridelands. "But then again I guess the same could be said of him towards me, yeah?" She shifted and shut her eyes half way.
"I wish I had someone to hunt for." She said dully, not because she wanted another's company. She wanted something to do on nights were she did nothing. "Or I wish I had a second hobby." She snorted.

Issy smirked as he heard the slight chuckle emit from her lips, though he couldn’t have seen the roll of her eyes. If he had, it probably only would have prompted him to tease her a little more. “He probably did think the same about you. I know if I hadn’t seen someone since we were cubs, I’d be a little shocked to see them suddenly grown up one day, even if I knew they would be,” he said with a little nod, tail wavering slowly and silently behind him. He was still shocked, sometimes, by how fast the cubs around him grew up. Suddenly seeing someone he hadn’t in ages would likely be a bit of surprise.
“Well, you’d always have someone to hunt for if you had a litter of cubs,” he said with a chuckle, trying to imagine his grumpy sister having a litter of her own. He thought it was very unlikely that she’d choose to have them freely, because that would mean getting really close to those males she seemed to hate so badly. Of course, it would also mean having to put up with the little buggers after they were born – he just didn’t see her as the motherly type for some reason.

She fell silent at the mention of cubs. That was very true... her brain gears started turning as she thought slowly about this, her face slightly disgusted though. Little ones were so hectic and annoying... but if she bred strong cubs... healthy little fighters and beautiful huntresses... Her ears twitched and her tail curled around a hind leg.
Something to care for? To keep her company? Is that what had been leaving a hole in her heart? The need for cubs... but it would be a lot of work. Maybe she could get a nanny until they were old enough to handle!
She realized how odd the silence was starting to become and grunted. "Foolish, having cubs just for extra mouths to feed." She said, but her voice was a little different and if Issy had seen her face right then he would see that it was embarrassed and shameful. What was she thinking!

Issy had begun to frown as the silence stretched out between the pair of them. He hadn’t been very conscience of what she could be possibly entertaining in her mind, but he was sure that it had something to do with what he had said. Either she had been seriously thinking it over, or she was trying to decide the best way of bitching at him for even bringing it up. If he had known that it would have caused such a little stir in her seemingly concrete train of thought, he probably wouldn’t have mentioned it to her at all. He just wanted to tease her a bit, how was he supposed to know what made her mad and what didn’t?
“Well, you were the one that brought it up,” he said quietly, eyes glancing towards the back of her head, as if he could see her own eyes through it. It was a little hard talking to her when he couldn’t read her facial expressions because he didn’t actually know when she was mad and when she wasn’t. “But it was only a suggestion. I just thought that most lionesses eventually wanted to have cubs, whether with a mate or not, you know? The circle of life and all that jazz.” He played it off to be utterly unimportant, like it had only been a casual little tease. He just really didn’t want her to bite his head off.

She smiled softly and rolled over to face him, chuckling. "Most lionesses do." She stated, agreeing with him. "But I think it's foolish to have cubs just to feed them." Her tail flicked. "Perhaps not for other reasons though..." And with a mysterious grin she was on her paws, slipping away from the rock.
"Another night Issy, another night." She called over her shoulder, he way of telling him good bye. She had planning to do!

Issy frowned as his sister got up rather suddenly, especially after that odd talk about cubs and the reasons to have them and the reasons to not. Sometimes he just didn’t understand her, but he supposed that he would begin to slowly if he spent more time around the dark beauty. At least he was beginning to see her more regularly now, and the two were slowly beginning to grow closer – even if he couldn’t say so for her relationships with the rest of the family. It was always good to start somewhere, right? As she began to trot off into the distance, he only chuckled, watching her begin to fade into the night that shrouded the entirety of the Pride lands.
“Another night then, Eusi!” he called after her with a little smirk, slowly laying his head back down onto his paws. The moon overhead was a pretty little ghost in the sky, but the talk with Eusi had calmed his wandering mind and soul to some degree. With a little smile, he pushed himself up and began to trot off in the direction of pride rock. He thought he could probably get to sleep now.
