Yes, I know that sounds like a news headline, and I wouldn't be surprised if there was a headline similar to that in the newspaper somewhere, but I swear that was original. Anyway, It seems Florida Democrats have decided to go ahead with the primary on Jan 29, despite the fact that, accoridng to the party rules, doing so before Feb 5 will result in their delagates being banned from the the National convention.

My opinion is that Florida Democrats have just as much right to vote early as the democrats from that other state, Iowa or Idaho or something like that, the one that holds their primary on Jan 14. I may be off on the dates, this came from a news story I caught while flipping channels yesterday, but my point is that they aren't applying this rule universally. If NO state could hold their primary before Feb 5, that would be one thing, but since ONE is allowed to do so, All should be alowed to do so. Of course, we have little actual say in the matter, since we're listed as Idependents here in florida, and we don't get to vote in the primary anayway, but I would like to hear some of your opinions on the subject.

P.S. Yes, this is a desperate attempt to get the guild moving again.
