Keptan Lesse. Sonic 1 Sonic 2 Sonic 3 & Knuckles Sonic Spinball Sonic 3D Blast (PC) Sonic Adventure Sonic Adventure 2 Sonic Advance 1 Sonic Advance 2 Sonic Advance 3 Sonic Battle Thassall. Oh, I also have SA2:B. Any favourites, or any games that you really, really want to play but haven't got? I'm a S3+K fan myself. Big levels and raw playability. That's why I took to Sonic Advance 3 so readily: the landscape actually seemed to've been genuinely designed by someone trying to kill your character and make things awkward. It made a change to have to slow right down and go through some obstacles on tippy-toes, rather than just press right and jump occasionally. Yes, I was periodically tearing my hair out, but I actually felt like I'd achieved something by the end. The one game I want would probably be a console copy of something like Sonic Championship, SegaSonic Arcade or Tails' Adventure - ROM controls can get a touch fiddly at times.

I've got a few.
Sonic the Hedgehog Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Sonic and Knuckles Sonic Spinball Sonic 3D Blast Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (Game Gear) Sonic Chaos Sonic Tripple Trouble Sonic Adventure Sonic Adventure 2 Sonic Advance Sonic Advance 2
I think that's all of them. My game collection isn't as big as some of yours, but it's not bad.

Yeah, my fave is S3&K as well, for the same reasons you posted. However, I REALLY want to play Sonic CD! I've been told that it rocks hard. Yeah... Sonic Advance 3 was probably the best of the Advance series. It felt more like the past Sonics, even with the two-partner gimmick. 3nodding I was so glad that there more crushing traps (which I love despite how annoying they can be), and that the game wasn't a hold-right game like SAdv2 was prone to be. You actually had to do more platforming instead of just running, and while running is fun, that's not all you can do in a Sonic game.

Sonic CD's pretty good, but I think that it's the extra dimension and space provided by the time travel that really make it something unusual, together with the strategy element that you have to use as a result. I think the PC version may still be available from Amazon.com.

I tend not to care too much about games after I finish them and get all the secrets, so here are the games I used to own and their fates:
Mega-Drive:
Sonic 1 (Still own, in box, no manual) Sonic 2 (still own, I have 2 boxes, no manual in either) Sonic 3 (Box tends to go missing alot, as I've left it in Sonic & Knuckles for the past few years) Sonic & Knuckles (no box) Sonic Spinball (Box and Manual) Sonic 3d (No clue where that went)
Mega-CD:
Sonic CD (destroyed and lost when I was kicked out of home that one time)
Dreamcast:
Sonic Adventure (My brother had it when we stopped speaking) Sonic Adventure 2 (went missing when me and my dad moved out of his girlfriend's house. Probably disposed of) Sonic Shuffle (US version, in my drawer at home, no boot disc means I can't play)
Gamecube
SA2B (Gave to Nuala) SA1DX (Gave to Nuala) Sonic Heroes (DEFINATELY gave to Nuala and glad it's out of my sight biggrin )
Gameboy Advance:
Sonic Advance 2 (Gave to Nuala, for Chao raising purposes) Sonic Advance 3 (Gave to Nuala, haven't played it on the console yet, but completed on ROM, which seeings as I own the game, is ok)
PC:
Sonic R (I have 2 copies, one is at home, the other I left at my mothers house before we stopped speaking) Sonic 3d (left at mothers house, I never bothered to rebuy)
PS2:
Sega Superstars (While visiting a friend in Southampton he convinced me to get it, and Diablo 2, for £30, as it was a pretty amazing bargain)

Sonic 1 Sonic 2 Sonic 3 Sonic and Knuckles Sonic Spinball Dr. Robotnicks Mean Bean Machine Sonic CD Sonic 3D Sonic R Sonic Adventure Sonic Adventure 2 Battle Sonic Heroes
ROMS and Batas Sonic Advance 3 Sonic Crackers (a fun game where Tails and Sonic are stuck together and they have to work together to get through the stage. for some reason they didn't release it.)
I wanna get Knuckles Chaotix because I heard it was good. Does anyone have any opinions on it?

Aeris55 I wanna get Knuckles Chaotix because I heard it was good. Does anyone have any opinions on it? I usually find that it's too unstructured. There's no real flow to the game and it's easy to finish some levels by jumping up constantly and then going to the right. The partner controls are a bit jerky aswell, though fun in 2 player mode. I enjoyed it, but couldn't be bothered to complete it. Good if you can get the 32X Bios and play it on a ROM, otherwise, don't waste time tracking it down on Ebay.

The games I've had are:
Master System
Sonic the Hedgehog
Gamegear
Sonic the Hedgehog Sonic Chaos
Megadrive
Sonic the Hedgehog Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Sonic & Knuckles
PC
Sonic CD Sonic & Knuckles Collection Sonic 3D Sonic R Sonic Spinball
Dreamcast
Sonic Adventure Sonic Adventure 2
Gameboy Advance
Sonic Advance Sonic Advance 2
ROMS
Sonic Advance 3 Sonic Battle Knuckles' Chaotix
Gamecube
Sonic Heroes (Sonic Mega Collection) (Sonic Adventure 2: Battle)
Note: the games in brackets are games I don't have yet, but I will have come December 25th. :p
My favourite of all the Sonic games is most probably Sonic Adventure. I enjoy the gameplay and I think it has a good plot woven into it. I also liked the idea of Adventure Fields and each of the characters following their own path through the story. Sonic Adventure 2 was good for gameplay, but I think it was a bit weak in the plot department, and as for Sonic Heroes, I think the question, "what plot?" is appropriate. Fortunately, it scores well enough on gameplay for me.
Before getting a Dreamcast though, I'd agree with Nuala about the Sonic & Knuckles Collection. It was a huge game, with huge, fun levels, and very rewarding once finished.

LordEon Note: the games in brackets are games I don't have yet, but I will have come December 25th. :p If you don't mind measking, do you have someone around your little finger, or're you jst expecting cash/gift tokens? smile Quote: My favourite of all the Sonic games is most probably Sonic Adventure. I enjoy the gameplay and I think it has a good plot woven into it. I also liked the idea of Adventure Fields Strangely,as much as I'm an RPG nut, the complete lack of direction involved in the adventure fields seemed rather frustrating. Quote: and each of the characters following their own path through the story. Agreed. Shame that the character development involved has been either ignored or rewritten in just about every title since. For example:I thought that Amy was over her "Marry me, Sonic, or I'll go psycho!" phase, and had found her own identity (albeit she is apparently mentoring Cream now). I also thought that Tails'd gotten over his need to scream for Sonic every time he got backed into a corner. Quote: Sonic Adventure 2 was good for gameplay, but I think it was a bit weak in the plot department, Plot I could cope with. It was the treasure hunting and Tails being stuck in a mech that got too samey after a while. That and those horribly restrictive camera angles that weren't even fixed in the ports. Quote: and as for Sonic Heroes, I think the question, "what plot?" is appropriate. Fortunately, it scores well enough on gameplay for me. Too many grinding rails, which led to too many arbitrary kills in the too many bottomless pits, mostly through the collision detection being full of holes. What could have been a title saved by gameplay was let down by some seriously dodgy execution as far as I was concerned.
