Hello. As some of you may or may not know, I am a friend of Folchinator (or Bryan, as those of us in the real world know him), and I am in somewhat regular communication with him. Bryan is currently attending NYU, and has an amount of free time that usually totals to around zero. That being said, Mental, which requires a considerable amount of free time devoted to it, especially as the overall GM of the game (at least more than zero), is no longer a possibility for him. And so, he has quit.

As far as the future of Mental goes, I cannot say for sure. As far as I know, he does not plan to return, and has not appointed a successor as a GM. Therefore, since he and he alone knows the overall direction Metal is to go towards, it would seem that Mental will no longer function for quite some time, if not permanently.

I would ask, however, that no one tries to usurp control of Mental as head GM, unless informed by Folchinator officially. That way, in case he ever does return, things can resume, because if Mental were to have taken a new direction in his absence, it would be doubtless that he could take the reigns once again. In honor of the spirit of Mental, let us preserve it, unless its creator deems otherwise.

Hm.... I did pretty well with that. Maybe I should consider a profession in funeral oration...
