Though it had been more than one day since she had visited the pridelands, Shiri was determined to finally find the Queen and speak with her. Her body kept low to the ground as she padded along, lime green eyes alert and curious as to where she might find her. The rogue lioness was more comfortable than the last time she had visited, though she couldn't help but feel the eyes of all the other liones piercing into her.

A shy smile was worn on her face as she continued to search. It was only until she found a beautiful lioness, one that greatly resembled the royal line that she was certain she had found her. If she was wrong, perhaps this lioness could point her in the right direction?

Padding closer, Shiri took in a deep breath and finally spoke, "Greetings.. I am Shiri of.." She stopped when she was about to mention the roguelands. Did all newcomers feel the need to make themself seem to be less than they were? Shiri swallowed again and continued, "I am searching for the Queen of the pridelands, do you know of where I can find her?"

-One good thing about being her father's clone... was that she seemed to draw attention to herself quite easily from the rogues. Whether it be stories carried along through rogue territories or simply words of wisdom from members when they entered the lands everyone seemed to know the royal golden. She wondered what would happen when her twins.. who had not a lick of gold on them... took the throne. Would they be as easy to find? Who knew.

Idle pondering aside Kami's eyes lifted lightly to meet the face as the voice sounded, a soft smile forming on her maw.- "Hello Shiri. I'm Kamilika, and I just so happen to be the queen."

-She debated sitting, as her eyes looked over the familar colorings in the stranger's pelt, but decided against it, testing first.- "Is there something I can help you with?"

In truth, Shiri did not think twice of the particular golden of the queen of the pridelands. She had never seen Mufasa and the rumors of his impressive pelt could never do it justice. Realising that the lioness in which she was speaking to was, infact, the queen, Shiri's face lit up in embarassment. Though she only had a name and personality to go from, she felt as though she should have known already. "Oh! Forgive me," She said quickly, lowering herself in a respectful bow. Once she was bowed, many scars from her rogue life became visible upon her shoulders and back.

Once she had finished bowing, the lioness lifted her head slowly, though was certain not to lift herself completely. She knew that this queen had the final say on the matters among the pride and hoped to make a good impression. "It is such a pleasure to meet you, Kamilika. I never imagined to find you so quickly!" Her voice hesitated as though she was careful as to what to say. Years of experience speaking with strangers suddenly vanished as she reverted to her, awkward, childhood self.

And as to not leave the queen hanging, Shiri felt it would be neccesary to explain why she had searched her out. "I have come to the pridelands in the hope of acceptance.. I was born just outside the borders and.." She paused for a moment and tried to think of just what it was about the pridelands. What she was to say were things she had never explained to anyone. It felt so strange to tell them to a stranger, "..I feel a connection to the pridelands. I feel as though.. it was once home.." A blush appeared as the rogue lioness debated how silly this idea sounded.

"Considering how many members we have, perhaps it is a little surprising and lucky. But with how much of my day I spend wandering around and keeping track of things, it's also unsurprising." -She mused softly, speaking more to herself then the lioness before her, who had already begun to bow. It was such a strange feeling.. and it made her realize just why her father had always felt that way about royalty.

There was so little that seperated herself from any other lion. Responsibility? That was probably it. And that was worth a bow?

Casting the thoughts aside her ears flicked gently forward to catch the words, nodding softly as they drew to a close.- "Ahhh. That makes sense. We often find that children born near the edges feel drawn inward into the lands. The pridelands are such a welcoming place anyway."

"Anyway... I wouldn't argue against what you feel. And if you feel this place is home then you must certainly be right." -The often uncertain queen envied the strong feelings that lied behind such a thought.- "Do you know much about the lands then? The laws and such?"

Shiri listened carefully when Kamilika spoke. She was unsure if she was acting properly and hoped that with what she had heard, she would be wise enough to not offend the beautiful lioness before her. Was simply asking for acceptance enough, or would there be tasks Shiri would need to complete? The lioness had stepped past the border in which she spent most her life and was now diving headfirst into uncertainty. Was she doing everything correctly? Would there be time to fix any errors she might make? The lioness felt as though she was walking on thin ice.

When the queen spoke of how welcoming the lands were, Shiri could not help but smile warmly. Her thoughts were cast aside and she felt a glimmer of hope arise in her mind. Never had she heard that those in the pridelands were cruel and though she feared rejection, she could see now, that whatever happened, she would have been considered and given a chance.

Still smiling up at Kami, Shiri's cheeks turned red at the continued questioning. Though she was born outside the pridelands, she had been abandoned by her parents and in turn, heard little of the pride. Having run into only two pridelanders during her life, Shiri had minimal knowledge of their customs and traditions. "I must admit that I do not know as much as i'd like.. I have met few pridelanders in my life.. Of those, Jini and.." The lioness thought back to the first pridelander she met, "And Kazi."

The names may have not stood out to the queen among all the others, but Shiri had been told by them that it wouldn't be wrong to mention them if she had ever decided to join. In fact, those two males had been a big reason she decided to join in the first place. And before the queen could respond again, Shiri quickly added, "I would love to learn though. And I am sure that I could be of assistance, helping when needed.. Perhaps watching over younger ones?"

-Ohhh, it'd been awhile since she'd talked with someone who'd come into the Pridelands without knowing much about it. Most often she spoke with people who had traveled far based on stories. Or ones who'd lived near the border looking in for a good portion of their lives.

She wondered whether she should mention some things about it? Though she feared it might seem a little like gloating, trying to press onto someone how wonderful the pride was that her father had built. So she let the thought go, moving to the next instead.-

"It's really very simple actually, more like moral guidelines then rules. Common sense if you ask me." -A reassuring smile formed on her maw, and she began to recite.-

"Everyone in the pride is equal, whether they're born here or come to seek refuge here. Noone is treated above another and we all look out for each other."

"There are some certain smaller beasts that live in these lands too. Maned wolves.. rabbits.. jackels. The ones that we consider as members should be treated just as you'd treat any other lion."

"Mmm.. and of course, we believe very greatly in sharing and acting as a family here. If ever you need help feel free to ask. And if ever you have too much, there is always someone else around that could benefit from your extras."

"We have many many cubs in these lands" -She pause momentarly, a slight smile playing across her maw as she thought of her own nine.- "Both hunters for assisting in feeding are necessary and nannies. If you have an interest in nannying, you should come back and visit me once you're settled in, and we can discuss it." -She paused softly, waiting for the information to settle in before she'd continue.-

Shiri nodded as Kamilika spoke to her. As a rogue, Shiri never remained in one spot for too long, but typically her resting spots were either earshot, or within range to see something going on in the pridelands. She saw the many lions grouping together, laughing, enjoying each other's company. The cubs were protected and more than any other aspect in the pride, Shiri wished to join so that if ever she was gifted the life of cubs, she would raise them in a positive environment. She would remain with them until they made the choice to stay or leave and she would support them. Would Shiri have wished so much for her cubs, if she had been given it as well? The lioness looked away at the thought of her parents and returned to the conversation once the thought had passed.

"I understand. I support all of your beliefs thus far. I have no qualm of regarding the other creatures as members of the pride. I am worried though.. what lands do we hunt on to ensure that we never risk endangering those smaller creatures?"

When Kamilika spoke of sharing and recieving help, Shiri seemed to smile more boldly. It seemed Jini and Kazi had offered the same pridelander hospitality that she spoke of. Had they not shown her this kindness, Shiri could have taken a very different and more dangerous path. With her cheeks still pink from her shy nature, the lioness continued to listen, being inspired with many other questions.

So far Shiri was unsure of nannying. She enjoyed the company of cubs and, at her age, was indeed hoping for some of her own, but had no chance thus far. She had always planned to become a huntress, but perhaps she would take Kamilika's advice and return to her once more to discuss the position of nanny.

((*nibbles da cute little babies* I think they're my favorite of the recent litters. Soo cute :3 ))

"Ohhh." -It was a good question, but not one she heard often. And being the fact that she was as enept a hunter as a newborn babe, she certainly didn't have experience with the question.- "Mmm.. I believe the hunting groups tend to stick to antelope, gazelle, and larger creatures."

"But reguardless.. most of the smaller members of the pride stay towards the interior. Jackals, rabbits, and such further towards the exterior of the pride should be fair game."

"All of the maned wolves however are members. My own advisor is one, and much to her dismay there are no wild packs that occur near the lands. So if you see one of them, they are definately one of the few with the pride."

((Thank you Virus! I loved how they turned out! Absolutely perfect! <3))

Shiri nodded. What Kamilika had said made perfect sense. In a pride, the lions worked together to bring down larger game. There would be no sense in hunting hares and other small creatures when you had many more mouths to feed and the ability to borrow the talents of your fellow pridelanders and friends.

As Kamilika continued to explain who was fair game and who wasn't, Shiri continued to nod and take in all that the Queen was offering her. Never in her life had she expected the lioness who was leading the entire pride to be so well spoken and kind. She thought that once she was excepted, that would be all to their conversation. How Shiri had been wrong.

Realising that she had been quiet for some time, she smiled and spoke quietly, "Thank you for all of the advice. I think this will really help me in the pride." In truth, Shiri was not quite sure how often she would be hunting when she could not ask someone else advice, but in the situation arose.

"You're quite welcome" -She nodded mildly, glad she could offer atleast that much information. Truly.. one of the actual huntress' would probably give a far better answer.

Falling back a step, simply out of shyness and her still rather clumsy social grace's she offered one more well wishing, before waiting to see if the lioness had more to say, or was ready to move forth and find herself in the pride.- "I wish you the very best then, and that your settling in is swift and pleasant."

Shiri nodded to the kindness that the queen offered her. Relieved that she had made her choice, the lioness was prepared to learn more of the pride and perhaps attempt to make some friends. Thankful for the well wishes, Shiri lowered her haunches in a bow of respect.

"I appreciate it. I hope this will not be the last time we speak," Shiri said with a warm smile. Once she was finished, she turned and began towards her new home.

Her dreams were finally coming true.
