Friday afternoon!
Finally nearly-out of the work week, Talula and Alistair were planning on setting a disney movie or two on automatic play and taking a nice nap while the two girls currently attending the newly made 'play room' collected their guardians.
Well, their guardians collected them... but in Noire's case at least, who could tell.
The 'play room' was freshly wall-papered, some atrociously happy wallpaper depicting a typical castle, unicorn, prince, princess and dragon scene over and over in it's repetition along every wall. It complimented the brightly colored fluffy 'kid seats' made out of stuffed characters, toys, dolls and rather flashy plasma tv hanging on the wall. Still, the setting seemed to be geared to kids about four years younger than Noire felt, and it made one wonder what was going on in the decorator's mind.
Noire had been in the play room when Lex brought Ariadne by, she heard from Talula a playmate would be coming. She hadn't been sure if Ariadne would come to the play room too - she hoped she did, so she could play 'war and effect' and rip the heads off traitorous dolls with someone.
As Alistair relaxed, however, a screen told him a little boy emerged from his tube. In the usual hurry, he left Talula to watch the kids and gone out to collect the white, ghostly child. Not saying anything more than 'come' and 'hurry up,' Alistair took the boy straight to the play room, deciding Talula would likely be there and could conduct her interview.
Unfortunately, Talula was not - but Alistair couldn't care less, and abandoned the boy to the girl(s) within, complete in all his newborn confusion.

The boy wasn't exactly sure what was going on when he was lead to the playroom. He didn't like the way Alistair was talking to him, but he was hardly in the right state of mind to say anything. The rush of smells, warmth, seeing everything for the first time. It was so... foreign.
When he was left with the girls he looked back to watch Alistair leave. What was he meant to do now? He directed his attention back to the girls and blinked a few times. The lights weren't exactly friendly on his eyes. He stayed silent as he carefully studied the two girls, unsure of what to think of them. Were they friendly? He noticed one of them had wings on her back and sparked another question. What were they? Next he studied the room. So many objects and colours. He felt he recognized some of the things in the room, but couldn't say how or what they were. He didn't really like it. Far to many bright colours. Still the boy remained silent.

Ariadne watched as the pale boy stepped into the room. For some reason, she liked him instantly. His eyes seemed bright against such pale skin and he too seemed to have difficulty with all the light around them. He seemed, as was only to be expected, disoriented from all that had happened.
Ari pulled down her headscarf, twisting the strings on her mask gently as she watched and wondered the thoughts behind his feelings, her eyes growing slightly brighter.
After a moment of watching him turn around the room, surveying it with an air of dislike, she took from within the folds of her pristine white clothes a pair of sunglasses Lex had given her to help adjust to the brightness of this Gaia. Carefully, she set aside the porcelain mask that was almost always in her hands and stepped forward. She moved slowly, making sure she wouldn't startle the new-comer. When she stood before him, she held out the sunglasses and smiled reassuringly, tasting his befuddlement on her tongue.

Noire, sitting in a corner with a dismembered doll head in one hand, had been staring at the other two in her own befuddlement ever since the boy was brought in.
"Who's that Alis-"
And then Alistair left, without any explanation. Ariadne seemed taken with him, which lured a pout and frown on Noire as her playmate was distracted from her and all was interrupted for this boy.
"Well then! Just who are you?!" She demanded, throwing the doll and head down as she clamored to her feet. "Newly hatched, are you? That why you ain't talkin yet? What's your name? You're a boy, right?" The miniature barrage of questions finally ceased, a light glare fixed on her face, she moved to the other two with hands on hips and her domineering personality in full force.

Val was going through one of his ‘phases’, as Aaron called it. Basically it meant that Val was trying to kill and/or maim everything within a ten-mile radius… including the curtains. Aaron had bundled Aricin into the care and driven off at his usual high speeds, straight back to compound.
“They can take care of you for a bit. I’ll er… come back and get you when it’s safe. That should be in… a maximum two days. Have fun!”
Aaron had driven off with one last wave. Now here Ari was, stuck in this place, feeling like he needed a really good nap. Oh well. Maybe he could just sleep until Aaron came back… Oh wait… Noire’s rather distinct voice echoed out into the hallway and he was dropped off at the playroom. No sleep there.
Rubbing the back of his neck, he steeled himself and then walked inside. Ah, new people. After a quick look he decided they weren’t very interesting at all.

The boy watched one of the girls approach him curiously. What was she doing? When she held the sunglasses out to him he guessed she wasn't going to harm him anytime soon. But just what was that she was holding? Such a strange object. He looked up into the girls eyes, showing more of his confusion than he would have liked. He was about to ask what it was when another started talking.
He flicked his gaze to Noire and titled his head a little. "I didn't have anything to say." He replied to the girl with the wings. One of her questions caught him without an answer. Who was he? He was... Andra-Del. "My name is Andra-Del. Who, or rather, what are you? and those things on your back..." He asked forgetting about the other girl momentarily. He didn't seem to notice Aricin arrive.

Aria tutted under her breath as the boy became distracted and slipped her glasses away, pulling down the headscarf further as she peered at the second newcomer. This one was also a boy, fair of hair and with bright eyes. His hair was close in colour to hers... in fact, so was his skin. Yet he was dressed to harshly and did not seem bothered by the light.
She bent to retrieve her mask and watched him for a moment... until she realised that he'd mentally dismissed them all. He seemed bored. Arrogant. She looked over his stiff collar and felt like sneering. He may have had colouring the most like hers, but his attitude was elitist. Not very pleasant at all. She twirled the mask in her fingers and stared daggers at him.

Noire squinted at Andra, hands on her hips clenching slightly till they became fists cocked angrily against. "What? What!? WHAT ARE YOU TRYIN' TO SAY?!" She demanded, feathers on her wings pluming like a bird who felt threatened. "I'm a HUMAN like YOU. UNLESS YOU ARE A GHOST. CAUSE YOU LOOK IT."
She paused, biting her lip as half a word tried to fumble out. Was human the right word? Well, whatever!
She would have continued had she not noticed Aricin, and her attitude flipped quite instantly. "FRED!" She squealed, and in a flying leap assisted only slightly by the wild flapping of her small wings, she went to tackle hug the blonde. "Finally!"

After a moment of standing in the doorway he stepped further inside, figuring he would have to interact with them eventually. So, Ari took a moment to study the new people in his presence. There was another girl, her colouring very similar to his own. That fact instantly put him strangely at ease. From what he could remember, his people had been all very similar in appearance. Ari would make sure to talk to her later.
He didn’t have a chance to figure anything out about Andra-Del, before he saw Noire hurtling towards him. Definitely no nap today. With a small smile he opened his arms to hug her back, bracing himself against the tackle. “Hmph. My name isn’t Fred. Nice to see you again Noire.”
He still hadn’t figured out a funny name for her, despite an hour or so spent trying to.

Andra-Del raised his eyebrows as if in disbelief before shrugging. "It you say so..." He muttered as she became distracted by the other male. He studied the other male for no less than half a second when he realised the other girl was still there. Turning to her he gave a slight smile saying, "I apologise. I wasn't really sure what that... thing you had was... I wasn't sure what I was meant to do with it. I'm sorry if I seemed rude at all." He didn't really want to get off on the wrong foot with more than one person, which he had apparently done with Noire. He blinked a few times again, making a strange face that showed the slight pain the light was causing.

Aria watched the exchange between Noire and this... Fred... curiously. He seemed to have melted, all that arrogance of a moment before gone away as he showed obvious affection for the enthusiastic girl.
She became entranced with the emotions involved, drinking them in through half-parted lip, and so did not notice at first when the other boy spoke to her. She blushed faintly and turned towards him, the friends' emotions still buzzing in the back of her head. "They are sunglasses." Ariadne flourished them and perched them on her nose in demonstration. "They keep the sun out of your eyes and dull all the colours. I have my headscarf to help me at least. You have nothing." She pulled them off and held them out. "Go ahead."

Noire grinned, snuggling the boy very briefly before springing away as though the water had suddenly turned scorching hot, "Why are you here?! Nobody told me you were here! Nobody is telling me anything! Did you see Talula? Or Alistair? Is Alistair bossing Talula around again? GRR! WE SHOULD GET HIM! Stupid Alistair..."
With a huff, the gray haired girl looked back to the two sun imposed children and shook her head. "I don't see what the big deal is, it's just the sun. You prolly wouldn't be all whiny about it if you'd just get a lil' used to it, you know! Was it all dark on your planets? Oh! Oh! Fred! Let's play house, okay!?? YOU CAN BE THE DADDY AND I'll BE THE MOMMY AND.." She glanced at the other two kids, dumbfounded for a 'situation' to place them in.

The snuggle was a little unexpected. Aricin wasn’t used to being so used to people. He patted her shoulder awkwardly, sighing thankfully when she jumped back to yell at him. After listening to her rant he realized there wasn’t much point in him even answering her.
He was right, Noire soon moved to another subject. Wait a second… “What?!” Aricin frowned, shaking his head. “No. I’m not playing house.” He flatly refused, stalking past her into the room.
He ignored the pale boy, instead focusing on Ariadne. Crouching down, he studied her face. No, she wasn’t from… well, from the place he remembered. “What is your name?”

Andra-Del took the sunglasses and studied them a little before holding them in front of his eye. "They certainly do help." He commented putting them on properly. "Thank you." He added with a slight nod and a smile. Everything seemed a lot more toned down now. Much easier to see, though it still didn't quite seem right. Somewhat like the atmosphere. It was like there was something missing.
He ignored Noire's rant, guessing by the haste of her talking that it wasn't something anyone really needed to hear anyway. House? Why would someone want to play a house? That was a ridiculous thing to do. Was that winged girl even sane? Andra-Del sure wasn't convinced she was all there. The other male was a strange one too.
