Greetings, players of The Game.
This is Saya, and she will be glimpsed wandering through the Servers occasionally. You can address her, but her replies are generally nonsense (or so it will likely seem that way to your character--she talks of those 'trapped' within Larmadia, among other things).
There is no player behind Saya, she is a remnant of the first version of The Game. One of the staff had been using her as a test character before the first version ran into problems and was scrapped. Because of that, her character data is corroded and parts of it are missing (on her left arm, for example, there is nothing connecting her forearm to her shoulder; it appears to just float there).
There may or may not be other AIs like her about. After all, Saya is a defensive manifestation of the system and wouldn't have formed if there wasn't something to worry about...
Moderators may or may not be clueless, but all of the Server admins know at least who Saya is, if not what. LabTech uses her existence as a threat--a warning to the Servers that if they act up, they'll end up the same. Nothing left of them but a corrupted piece of coding, and that's if they're lucky. The company doesn't really comprehend exactly what Saya is and their attempts to find out haven't been overly successful due to her elusive nature.
The founding Servers have run into her more than once, but not always by their own choice. Unlike regular players, Saya can't be tracked by Servers unless she allows herself to be. She doesn't have a Player ID either, so any attempts to add her to a friend list will result in a error.
Her account will also be serving as the guild's mule, more or less.

Here, have a description for future reference: Quote: Normal players generally assumed she was the work of an unexperienced hacker. Her character, while highly modified, was also quite corrupted. Half of her left arm was missing--from her shoulder to her elbow, leaving her forearm to just float there. Her right hand had no palm. There was a blank space in between her fingers and her wrist, as if the rest of her hand had somehow become invisible. All one could see of Saya's right leg was a faint outline and her boot, and her character as a whole flickered like static on the screen.
