Well, I worked on the figure a little, added a background, added some color and this is what I got. I think that I did a pretty good job for my first color cartoon drawing. I first used color pencils and filled in the inked image. Then I got on photoshop and smoothed it all out. Comments/suggestions please if you have any.

hmmm...I would offset the elf girl to the left corner and have the text fill up the rest....

since she is looking in that direction and her arms are pointing in said direction it (should) help direct the viewer towards what you want them to see...

....that is my suggestion....feel free to disregard though...

It was a good idea to use the yellow highlights on the figure. She fits into the background better, and actually looks like part of the environment.
