I don't now about anybody else, but I'm pretty adamant about reporting scamming pms. I think everybody knows what I'm talking about: those obnoxious pms that ask users for their username and password. However, even though I felt I was doing the right thing by reporting these scam messages, I wasn't sure if moderators really paid attention to them, or if my reports were having a positive result. Then I got this message:

Despite the many reports I have made on scam pms, I have never received a message like this before. Like the title says, it just made me feel like my efforts to report these messages were being acknowledged and appreciated by the gaia staff, and I just thought it was a nice gesture from the moderators. So, I was just wondering if anybody else has received a message like this from a moderator. And you're free to post anything related to this subject.

Wow, that's nice of them. I've never gotten anything like that, but I'm glad someone's paying attention.

Ditto the never getting anything like that, but I don't really say much in my reports, either. Usually something like "Ban this loser" and that's about it. XD That was very nice, though. ^^

It is SUCH a pain to format posts without my Tektek toolbar... emo

Nope, never gotten one.
But then again, i've only gotten about two or three scam pms ever, so yeah. That'll make you feel poor, btw. XD

I've gotten a few of those PM's. xD

Usually I only get them when I report things directly, though. >: Don't think I've gotten a response just using the report feature. xD One of the best responses I ever got was when I reported a thread in the Q&A titled 'GIMME YOUR PASSWORD AND I'LL GET U 500K'. Her response was:
"Thanks for the report!
Gosh, what are people THINKING? Sometimes I wonder at what people are *thinking* when they make things like that." Or something to that effect. XD I found it hilarious.

I've gotten quite alot of 'OMG I'M A MOD GIMME PASS" PM's. sad Usually on my mules, though.
