Damnit!

A large gash streaked across the chest of the white, mutant stallion as he gritted his jaws and continued to stumble onwards with a plastered and malicious scowl defined across his maw. Blood trickled from the wound, dribbling downwards and tainting his white hide as an obvious and blatant sign that the male was injured. Yet it was a sign that Ezriel attempted to pay no attention to and simply ignored it except for the jolt of pain that seemed to sear through his body as the open gash shifted and became jostled.

The occurance was due in part to a small brawl that had erupted but the battle was won with the well crafted spaded-spiked tail and due in part to his horns atop his head. He was wounded yet he had won- and that was all that mattered.

The damn-tastic nerve for some pompus b@$#%&* to mock him and simply label him as a horrific and grotesque beast, a vagabond and a loner- well, that fool would remember and know now never to underestimate or question him after a few lashes across the side and to his face with his tail. And at the mere thought, Ezriel let a smile curl upon his maw as the voice inside his head simply cackled and mused with greath thrill.

Did you see him? Bloodied and ravaged, cowering like a b#!$@! Can you feel it now? That rage? That lust? The power? There is no question that you are his son- that you will become like him. His blood courses through your veins and you cannot deny it.

His muzzle bunched slightly as the pale stallion gave a snort as he wandered pase several gnarly trees and off into a forlorn clearing where a well sized river snaked through. Ezriel neared towards it, his voidless orbs narrowing towards his own reflection.

"I feel it," he silently replied within his own mind. "It feels...."

It feels good doesn't it?

For a moment, the stallion stood there as he stared into his own reflection. Did it really feel good- Ezriel was only trying to defend himself but that urge for bloodshed had taken control and he had certainly given the male severe gashes and shed so much blood that one could only fear that Kalona's would pick up on such a sickly, sweet scent and finish of the stallion themselves! But his action, his deed was something that his own father would have done- or worse.

Was this the stallion he wanted to become?

What would his mother think?

No.

Ezriel didn't want this! He didn't want to be like Reaper!

He shook his head and closed his eyes, repressing the voice inside of his head and gritted his teeth fiercely.

"What am I doing?" He scorned low, lowering his head but wincing just as a wash of pain seared through his senses.

"I don't want this...."

A smallish azure mare wound her way through the forest, hoofsteps swift and precise. Her mane flowed behind her like a sparkling river, snagging occasionally on branches and causing Tear to toss her silver-horned head in irritation. At a particularly nasty catch, she suddenly wanted out of the trees, if not out of the damn forest entirely. Flaring her nostrils she caught a scent of water. Muscles bunching under the unicorn's hide, she launched into a gallop towards the smell. Even if she ended up neck-deep in water, at least she wouldn't be snagging on so many trees!

The darkness- you can feel it and inside you crave it, want it, need it. Stop fighting it, Ezriel. Let it consume you and let your darker half be free from its containment and isolation. Look at yourself, you are miserable! You worry and hide your 'true' self from others but why not let your whole self be reunited and forget about having to conceal yourself. Others fear you, give then something to fear!

For a moment he stared at his reflection and into the face which had scared countless souls and had given him a reputation for being a horrid monster and a beast. He looked at himself, watching as he could see his fathers own appearance suddenly take shape of his own reflection.

You are his son, his heir- a legacy to his legend and to his own being! Why make yourself suffer through hell and beyond when you can stand beside him and have the world at your hooves? Revenge will taste sweet to your mouth that has been parched of all things bitter-sweet and filling.

The pale, almost ghostly stallion lowered his head towards the water and gave a simple nod and a flare of his nostrils. That empty void, that sickening empty void within himself ached and solaced with pain and the open wounds that still had yet to heal. Even the gash upon his chest seemed to sear with pain as it caused him to wince and stomp a hoof into the water, shattering his reflection as he turned away slightly. It was starting to make sense, logical sense to all of the madness. For so long he had feared his father but an opportunity to become stronger, faster, was presented to him. He was given a way to cheat death and Reaper had said that he was to be his heir.

Those words seemed to hauntingly ring sweet within his ears and caused a twisted, minute smile to curl upon his maw.

"I will take revenge," he muttered to himself as his voice gradually grew more audible. "I will join my father- and continue his legacy by becoming his heir."

Vaugely he could taste the sweetness of such a decision within his mouth as his darker part of him howled with joy and solaced with the weights and burdens of the past and of the old occurances slowly dissapating. The darkness clawed and hollared, causing his forelegs to tremble as Ezriel could feel something new, something unruly and something rebellious stir within him with a newfound power.

And he liked it.

Now if only he could find Reaper.

But his train of thought was disrupted as the sound of hooves erupted and broke the silence. Lifeless, black orbs narrowed towards the forest behind him as his spaded-spiked tail swept menacingly behind him. A growl sounded from his throat as he pawed at the ground waiting for whatever creature would rummage out and make itself known.

Forelegs tucked up against her chest, Tear arced through the air in a soaring leap to plunge into the water. Through the sound of her undoubtedly noisy splashing, her ears caught the fragment of a growl that caused every muscle to tense. With a snort and a toss of her head she whirled to brace herself against whatever hostile creature she'd chanced upon.

The sight that met her eyes was one from a nightmare, or so it seemed. Tear was hardly the tallest among her kind, truly bordering on short, and this massive white stallion dwarfed her. Where she had a sole argent horn arising from her forehead, the stranger bristled with an armament of spikes. Spikes that, at the moment, he appeared more than ready to use.

His head had turned slightly in the direction of the rushing sound of hooves as a scowl curled upon his maw. Who the hell was coming towards him he didn't know but the hair upon his neck seemed to rise slightly as he snorted his nostrils and swayed his spaded-spiked tail behind him. A cloven hoof tore into the earth below as he narrowed his eyes, watching as a blur of blue galloped past him and threw itself into the waters. Along with the splash, he turned around only to have water bombarding his face.

He muttered as a rumble rose from his throat, shaking his head as he blinked several times to get the water from out of his eyes and from hindering his vision.

Ezriel stood there, eyes narrowing as he looked towards the intruder. Yet crimson brows furrowed and those dark, lifeless orbs stared. It was a mare- a unicorn. The mutant stallion gave a snort and stood tall, proud and tense. The darkness inside of him swelled and howled, clawing at his mind. He could feel it- that sensation, that spine tingling, eerie feeling as the darkness consumed him but something seemed to yeild its growth as his mind haphazardly flashed an image of Glamrock before him and caused him to grit his teeth.

Oh yes- the unicorn Glamrock and her herd had taken his mother and siblings as refugees and kept them away from Reaper. Glamrock was kind, she never did judge he or his family on their appearance and treated them as if they were part of their herd. How could he even manage to hurt the same kind of soquili who had helped him? Give or take that their attitudes towards others could be vastly different or perhaps alike, the young stallion managed to subdue the rage within and gave a gruff, heavy sigh.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" He spat, a flash of teeth crossing his maw as he shook his head. "What's the big f#%$ing deal or d@#$ need to come around here?"

Well- it wasn't kind words but it was better than letting his bloodlust instinct and drive seize another victim. Sure he was a little rough around the edges and just as wrathful as his father yet there were two sides to him; being a conflicted soul and individual, Ezriel had a dark side that was much like his malicious fathers', Reaper, and a light side that was molded after his mother, Lady Korrine.

The unicorn before hom would most likely need to choose her words carefully seeing that one simple thing could tip the scale in favor of both halves.

It wasn't easy and Ezriel wasn't the most friendly at first truth be told.

But that was what a unpredictable soul was.

"I could ask you that..." Silver eyes flashed as Tear raised her head, staring into dark pits of nothingness. She couldn't lie to herself, she was afraid. How could she avoid the feeling, when this stallion looked made for the instigation of pain and seemed so clearly hostile? He had obviously been battling recently, the gaping wound on his chest stood as mute testament to that. But the smell of blood was getting to her, and she felt edgy and confrontational.

The mutant, pale white stallion stood there and continued with his eyes locked upon the unfamiliar unicorn. Try as he might he attempted to forget about the deep gash that streaked across his chest but the searing pain occasionally made itself known and caused him to grit his teeth and wince, flaring his nostrils and tearing up the earth with a cloven hoof. For a moment he blinked as the inner brawl between light and dark continued as the light within him slowly surfaced and attempted to temporarily obliterate the darkness.

His tense posture slowly began to loosen as he shook his head- the long, thick locks of deepest crimson, much like fresh blood, swayed at his feet as his spiked and spaded tail hung behind him.

"Just tryin' to clear my head," he answered, his voice gruff, low and more reserved as he stomped his cloven hoof upon the ground. "I'm so sick of all of this f#@&#xin;g confusion. I'm sick of the inner torment, the pain and walking a fine line between hell and oblivion. Pft- but you wouldn't know what its' like. No one does."

He was tired, he was frustrated, consumed with countless emotions and was severed so deeply with conflicting sides of where he belonged. Nothing was clear anymore, no sense could be made and it was hard to decipher what direction he was headed. Ezriel only wished this could be easier- he only wished that an angel or even an evil angel could take him away from all of this madness and relieve him from that which weighed heavily upon his soul. Life was nothing except lies and imaginary meanings and he was so d@%$ tired of it all although a part of him yearned to fight it- he just couldn't and the darkness was begining to consume him and appeal to him.

It was leading him down the same path as his father.

"So," he began with the same gruff yet reserved tone. "What brings you out here?"
PostPosted: Sat Sep 29, 2007 4:40 pm

"Bullshit!" The word exploded from Tear as her ears flattened against her head angrily. "Just because someone is pretty and sparkly doesn't mean they're pure! Just because they seem all 'look at me, I'm so innocent, I'm a unicorn,' doesn't mean they ARE!" Her nostrils flared as she dug at the riverbed beneath her with a cloven hoof, welcoming the bracing chill of the water. It helped her hold onto what little control remained. "Do you have any idea what the smell of your blood is doing? I don't think so. I don't even know if I can trust myself to heal half the time!" The small azure mare snapped at the air with her teeth and shook her mane in frustration. Sometimes she wanted so badly to be like the rest of her kind, to lack this strange reaction to blood, this imbalance in her mind.

Her tail lashed at his oh-so-mundane question. "Water brought me here, and a need to leave the trees. When I need, sometimes I simply must do."

"Godd#@$!" He angrily yelled, snarling as he viciously narrowed his eyes towards the azure unicorn and flared his nostrils.

Ezriel took several steps closer as one hoof sunk into the silt and mud of the small bed of water, posture stiffened as he took another step forward.

"What the f@#$? How the hell would I know what blood does to you? I don't have a godd@#$ clue who the f!@$ing hell you are!"

Ezriels crimson brows furrowed as he growled, feeling the hair upon his neck bristle slightly as he gritted his jaws tightly. This mare was off her d@#! rocker, loud and so snippish. Control- unable to trust herself to heal? A sneer curled upon his maw as his spaded-spiked tail swayed behind him, becoming taunt at times but simply resorting to snake through the grass and graze the top. No doubt that the mare before him had a lack of balance just as he did but, still, that first reaction to tolerate her was gone and he began wishing that he did strike out against her just to have her shut up and run away.

This wasn't making his headache any better.

"I can't trust myself to be around others since I have a lust for bloodshed and a malicious streak just like my mutant father- so that leaves you to choose if you want to stay around and trust me or go off somehwere else to cure whatever d@#! psychotic problems you need to take care of."

Well so much for the light side surfacing and clearly the mare hadn't chosen carefully although such a choice was never given to her.

Pitty.

Stepping into the water as it had yet to reach his stomach, Ezriel stared at her while the wound across his chest trailed with the warm, sticky liquid.

"Who the f@#! are you?"

Tear hissed, snapping her own tail like a whip. Gone for now was the meek creature that she often seemed to be. "I am Heaven's Tear," she declared. "And before you continue acting like a beast, I would strongly recommend tolerance for the issues of others if you want those of your own respected. You want me to give a damn about your bloodlust? Do you, really?" She tossed her head defiantly, horn catching the light. "It goes both ways, stallion. You cannot only take. And some things can't be taken at all."

A malicious snarl crossed his maw as he reared back and upwards, slamming down into the water. Rage consumed him, hatred and that bloodlust that he despised, along with the darkness within, became unleashed. Those voidless orbs of darkness and utter nothingness narrowed dangerously towards her.

"You f#$@ing b$#%^!" he snapped as his walked closer towards her, the water having yet to barely breach his stomach as he snorted with a flare of his nostrils.

Ezriels spaded-spiked tail became taunt and curled around him and as it became tense and rigid, the stallion shifted himself towards the right and slightly past her. Suddenly his tail cut through the air quickly and directed itself towards her, the tip pointing underneath her neck and the horrible, wretched spikes too close for comfort near her neck. A horrible growl and rumble sounded from his chest as a twisted, sickly snarl crept across his maw as he darkly chuckled. Yes- the darkness...he could feel it coursing through him and the deadly sensation was addictive as a part of him was released and reunited with his conflicted soul and d@$% did it feel good!

"Lets get some f#$&#xin;g things straight, Tear," he hissed. "I would strongly advise you don't underestimate or take lightly those you have no knowlege about. Secondly, there are some things that can be taken and right now if you want to keep living what f#$@ed up and pitiful life you claim to live I advise you mind yourself, lesser."

Lesser.

Why the certain word had escaped him he had no idea. Ezriel wasn't raven-blessed like the Kalona but he was the son of Reaper, a mutant and a monster that demanded fear and respect or ones very life would easily be stolen without hesitation.

He kept his tail by her neck as he flared his nostrils, staring at her.

"My name is Ezriel, son of Reaper- I am his 'Heir' and I will continue his legacy," he snarled. "Would you like to be another d#@%-tastic casualty or should for some godd@#% reason should I let you live?"
PostPosted: Sat Sep 29, 2007 7:15 pm

This can't be happening.

That was Tear's first thought as she froze from the flood of sheer adrenaline coursing through her veins, before rational thought began to flee. She had never been so terrified in her life...then again...she had rarely felt more alive. Only one other could heighten her awareness of life so; one who had yet to reach this land. Her lips pulled back from from her teeth in a manic grin as her muscles unlocked, silver eyes glittering with an unnerving clarity. "You can't heal yourself...you shouldn't have done that..." she whispered, just before lunging towards the larger stallion with her horn.

A darker, cunning and twisted snarl curled upon his lips. It was expected for the unstable mare to lunge at him as he had watched her posture unlock and her silver eyes narrow with a certain clarity that screamed 'f#$#ing insane' all too well. But it seemed as she lunged for him that her reckless attack had made her oblivious to the adorning spikes that were positioned barely an inch away from her neck as his position was shifted away from her with his flank exposed.

"My, my, my," he savagely grinned. "Reckless and a b#$%^!" His tail stiffened and grew taunt as the unicorn leap, those deadly spikes penetrating gashes through the her neck by her own misfortune and foul judgement.

Though she had lunged and he tried to drive the spikes deeper into the mares flesh, her horn had torn across his flank causing him to seethe with pain. The darkness within howled and hissed- Ezriel could feel it all too well as it consumed him and doused over him.

Beat her, maul her, rip, shread and disembowl her! She knows not how to fight- this should be easy.

"You will not forget me- best pray that somehow you live through this, b#$@^."

The stallion sneered as he then charged at her, head lowered with the adorning spikes and horns pointed in her direction. His tail tore away from her as he thrusted all of his weight in her direction with great ferocity and power. Ezriel's body became taunt, tense as he snorted and lowered his head even more. Coming within range, the mutant suddenly threw his head upwards with spikes and horns searcing to gash and tear through flesh and a tail made ready.
PostPosted: Sat Sep 29, 2007 9:32 pm

A shriek of pained fury ripped through the air as Ezriel's tail spikes slashed into the flesh of Tear's neck. Waves of red washed over her vision, tinging everything crimson with her rage. The fey side of the azure unicorn had lain dormant too long, and now it would not sleep until it had attained its satisfaction or been beaten into submission. She reared back, neck arching to aim her horn downwards. Even if she came down onto her opponent's horn, by the gods she was going to do some damage as well. She'd make him eat his words!

A satisfaction, twisted grin curled upon his maw as crimson stained the unicorn. How dare such a foul creature underestimate him and attack him! She certainly was oblivious to whose blood flowed through his veins. He was Ezriel: Son of Reaper and a born 'Heir'. The unicorn could prove to do damange yet she only had but a single horn while the young stallion was armed with a spaded-spiked tail and an assortments of spikes and a long horn atop of his head.

The mare certainly seemed out of luck- he would be the one to beat that rebellious and crazed side of her into submission at last.

Ezriel snarled as his jowls gritted together. He watched as she reared back, neck arching to aim her single, pitiful horn downwards. The stallion chuckled darkly, manically, as he lerched upwards and lunged for her as she began to descent from her fall. But a sharp pain skewed his right shoulder blade causing him to snarl, growl narrow his eyes towards the right. For there, there the horn of the unicorn had penetrated him- that damn horn, he could feel it. The empty orbs of darkness seemed to widen with a fury as if hell itself had opened up and sought to swallow whatever creature had disturbed it. Tear had made the wrong move and she would pay- Ezriel was damn sure about that.

Without hesitation, the mutant drew his head to the left and suddenly swept it towards the right, his head lowered slightly as the many spikes and the long horn directed themselves at her and craved to tear through and pierce her flesh. Again and again he swept his head and slashed from right to left and suddenly rose his left front leg and, with built up tension and the muscles becoming taunt, suddenly blew a kick at her chest once, then again.

The searing pain of the horn had numbed his shoulder slightly- he was unable to tell if the horn had loosened from him. His eyes became hazy, the sticky, warm liquid clouding his vision as he was still unable to tell if he had pummeled her down or not.

Ezriel flared his nostrils and kicked again with just as much strength or even more.

"You're lack of judgement will be your downfall," he growled.
