Kibela tilts her head slowly, blood red eyes staring across the sky. The nearly pitch black lioness lay sprawled across a flat slab of rock, enjoying the un-ending heat of the African sun. despite the relaxed mood, however, her expression spoke of nothing but immeasurable boredom. It was these calm, relaxing days that the young lioness hated most of all.
A growl escaped her as she rolled over onto the stomach, climbing to her feet to give a slow, arching stretch before she leaps down from the rocky surface, making her way down off of Pride Rock into the grass to search for entertainment.

Radi was out on a similar hunt as her sister, only hers was not for a boredom ridder. radi loved the quiet life, she was nieve enough to float through life without a care in the world. Of course as she had aged she had felt the need to leave her motehr at least for a couple of hours to explore the pridelands, always returning before darkthough. Radi was always happy to simply be within the pridelands to not have any sort of adventures. It may have seemed like a hum drum life, but radi loved it.
Padding blissfully through the long grass, she caught the scent of one of her siblings, her only sister Kibela. Smiling she parted the grass and with a soft gentle purr of a voice she called out to her dark sister. "Kibela!" she smiled sweetly her soft green eyes smiling. she was very different from her sister but taht didn't mean she didn't love her.

Her ears twitched slightly at the light call, dark eyes turning to where her sister moved. A soft smile graced her as she turned to move over to the much more gentle sister. " Radi.. It is rare that I see you so far from mother's side. " In fact, it was rare she saw her at all. She could not remember the last time she had returned 'home'.
" What brings you out this far? " She asked curiously as she reached the lighter lioness, butting her head against her sisters to nuzzle affectionately.

Radi smileds softly meeting her sisters head but with a nuzzle of her own. "I try to get out a little." She replies looking a little embarressed. it was well known amongst her family that she was the least adventorous of all of her siblings. "I'm just out for a wander, trying to meet new people, mother says I cannopt stay home beside her forever." She giggles quietly, her soft green eyes glimemring softly. She knew it was true, it didn'tmena that she did not wish to stay at her motehrs side.
"I have not sdeen you dear sister for quite some time, have you been keeping well?" Radi raised a gentle brow at her questioning, she didn't usually spoeak very much, though her siblings were exceptions to the rule, it felt strange to speak so much.

" Mother speaks wise words. " She nods, settling to sit back on her hind legs. " My fortune is good today. Just when I go to find something interesting, my dearest sister finds me. " Another smile came to her as she tilts her head.
" It has been a while, but yes, I have been well, if not a bit.. bored. " She got back up from the ground, flicking the dust from her tail lightly. " Perhaps you would like to come with me out into the lands? I was planning to go to the watering hole nearby. "

Radi smiled sweetly, the most nieve of her siblings she was always happy to follow in anothers foot steps rather than to lead the way. "I'd like that, as long as we can return to mother before sunset." She whispers looking down in an embarressed manner towards her paws. She didn't mean to be such a home body but she couldn't help it.
Getting up from her sitting possitions he flickered the dust from ehr paws and tail. "Lead the way dear sister" she puurrs her soft green eyes smiling softly.

She gave another rare smile, turning to lead her sister further from Pride Rock, towards a nearby watering hole. Though the other was relaxed, Kibela was slightly tense and alert, making sure nothing would endanger Radi. Some of the tension faded as they reached the fairly empty watering hole, crimson eyes watching a few hares leap away at the sight of them, before she moved down to the water's edge.
" How is everyone? " She asked looking back to her slowly as she let a paw drag through the water. She was rather surprised at herself that she asked that honestly. She was far too distant from her family.

Radi followed quietly, her footsteps barely audable as they pwalked away from priderock. If nothing else Radi knew how to be quiet, how to be inconspicuous, it was one of her only real skills. She was becoming a great little huntress because of this but she didn't say this to anyone. Truthfully she didn't like to kill, she much prefarred to hang at the back and eat what was necessary from the huntresses kills.
Shaking any prior thoughts from her mind she gave a quick nod to her sister. "They are all fine, one of our brothers has been betrothed to one of the princesses mother told me. I was quite surprised and, well I don't see the others much, it seems everyone has left home without me" She smiles shyly again, she was happy with herlife, being shy and nieve little radi happy to stay home. It wasn't much but it was her life.

She looked down to the water at that, letting her eyes slide shut in thought. " I'm afraid I plan to do the same, Radi. Very soon I will leave this pride, and these grassy fields entirely. " She looked up, staring out across the Pridelands. " The path of a Pridelander is not mine to walk.. "
She looked back to meet her sister's green eyes again. " Though I do not know where my own path will take me, it is what I must follow. Even if it means that I must miss my dear and only sister. " She shook her head, looking back out. It always felt odd around Radi. She talked more, she smiled. They had formed some kind of sisterly bond before Kibela left the family. Radi was the only creature in this world that she would protect with her life.
" Where will your path lead you...? " She asked softly, turning away from her again. " Are you truly happy to stay circling you mother? What will happen when she passes on to the afterlife...? Have you ever thought on these things Radi? "

Truthfully, no Radi had never thought of any of these things. She prefarred to stay the nieve happy one, pleased just to hold on to her mothers apron strings. Sighing softly the pale lioness rubbed her cheek to her sisters. "I do not know where my life will lead me. I much prefare just to stay and let the pridelands look after me. I'm happy just to be here dear sister even though you and our brothers think I am foolish to stay and to continue to return to our mother." She laughed gently a sweet smile lacing her lips. "I suppose my own path will findme as you find yours leading away from these lands I find mine keeping me and holding me close."
Letting out a gentle sigh the lightning marked radi looked up at her red eyed sybling with love. "Don't worry about me Kibela, I will be fine, enjoyign my life" sahe puurrs. "You must be careful out there though and please, come back to us one day. I have to know you still live if nothing else."

She smiled slowly, returning to soft affections. " You are no fool, Radi. If your happiness is here, then I am glad that you've found it so early in your life. These is not a single doubt in me that I will see you again, though I worry for that day. My heart is darkening to match my fur. I wonder if leaving will lighten it, or speed the process? I can only hope that you have no reason to look upon me in fear when we meet again. That is something I can not bear. " She let out a sigh of her own, looking down to herself reflected darkly in the water. " I sense great trials laying themselves out before me sister.. They may cause changes in me, for better or worse. "
Slowly, her eyes moved to the reflection of her sister beside her in the water. " I hope that you know, no matter what my state of mind or appearance, I would never do any harm to you, the only one I've ever cared for. "

Beautiful green eyes looked at her sister a gentle smile upon her maw as she looked in to those deep red eyes. "I know, but you should always remember I will never think baddly of you you will always be my sister no matter what." A smallsmile graced her maw then, and she gave a gentle nod of affirmation, she knew her sister understood, she knew above all others that she alone knew what this life held for her. She was supposed to stay just as the bulk of her family was suppsoed to find their own adventures out in the world.
"You know I will miss you don't you?" she coos watching ehr sister feeling tears welling in her eyes. "Who else will I speak to about the silly things in life hmm?"

" Radi..." She smiled sadly, gently butting her head against her sisters. " No tears, my dear one. I know that you will miss me, and I will miss you terribly as well... " Her voice was gentle as she reached a paw up to bring her sister into a sort-of hug. " But as I told you. I know I will see you again, and this is a good chance for you. If you mean to stay here, go the opposite of my example. Find and make many good friends who will remain here like you. "
She shifts back from the hug so that she can see the other's face again. " I will remember your words. But I still hope that I will hold no shame when I again get to see you, Radi. And I hope tat you are still living the life you enjoy at that time too. "

Radi sighs softly, nestling in to her sisters hug. She knew it was hard for her sister to be here but she truely would miss her. Kibela understood her, they had been close forever despite her dark sister drifting away from the family. She would always remember her at this moment.
"You won't ever feel ashamed of you sister you know that!" she smiles as her sister pulls away. "How could I be? You've always been my friend and understood me. Just please don't stay away forever! No matter what I'll always be here to greet you again."

" I promise I will return to see you again. " She tilts her head, resting back on her hind legs. " Though a find it sentimental.. a lioness gave me very wise words recently... " She shook her head, seeming almost annoyed that she was actually repeating such advice. " 'Follow your heart, but remember where you come from.' This is what she said to me... We will be lead very far from each other Radi, and I know you will be sad. I know it will be hard. But if you feel lonely, think of me, and know I will return to you. It may not be here, it may not be soon. But I will find you wherever you are, so that I may see your smile again. "
Only for her sister would she spout such words, and though it felt weird talking so much and saying such things, it also felt right to say to hear dearest friend and family.
