[PRP] High Times (Atum and Shadi)

Atum's blue orbs survaid the land from his new hight apon a hill top. Everything changed so fast, it seemed like only yesterday that he was a carefree foal tagging along with his older brother or mother. Now, he was as big as they were. Stuff that ment nothing to him as a foal now ment everything. He sighed as he thought of his youth, though he was still a young adult. Now he could start his life, or as his mother put it, 'capter the heart of a mare with your voice of love.'...There was time for that later, he was a budding stallion. Flying time was now.

Suddenly he went off in a fast gallop, heading off the side of the hill. Gracefully he opened his wings to the moving air. It was an odd feeling, for sure, but it was nice all the same. He jumped a little, flapping his black and white wings trying to sore up into the air...Before crashing down back to earth and tumbling half-way down the hill. Atum grumbled at his failuer agian. The blue and gold braids of his hair covered his view from the outside world, if he couldn't see them he hope they wouldn't see him! Deciding to take a break from his praticing, the stallion remained laying on the soft grass of the hillside. How did papa and brother make this look so easy all the time?

Shadi stood in a grass clearing looking around, bored like usual. Sure, she maybe have been an adult for a few months now but she still had a lot more exploring to do. It seemed all she had done so far was just kind of wander from place to place, and occassionally meeting soquili along the way though this didn't happen too often. Shadi wished she could meet more soquili like her mother adviced her to on their last visit together, stallions in particular since she had maybe met one briefly and her mother wanted her to meet more stallions then just her brothers.

Shadi's problem was she usually waited for other soquili to just happen to wander upon her. That made it kind of hard to meet others very often. She sighed softly as she stood there in the grass, the sun shining down upon her dark colored coat.

Atum hated staying still, so he got up grasefully before trotting along the hillside, looking for any sign of possible life. He was bored out of his mind since he could not control the winds yet. He traveled down his invisible path for a few mintuesbefore the sight of a lone mare caught his eye. "Hello?" He called to her, slowing his pace down incase she wanted to meet him.

Shadi looked over alittle startled, not knowing anyone was around. Her gaze landed on the dark stallion walking towards her. It was rare for her to meet stallions. The only stallions she really knew were her brothers and all they liked to do was tease her and play tricks on her. Shadi smiled softly. "Oh...umm.. hello there mister." She said in somewhat quiet voice. Shadi looked at the stallion curiously, one thing that particularly caught her attention was his wings. She had never seen anyone with wings before.

Atum stopped right infront of the mare, smiling as he always did when meeting someone new. He bowed his head before he spot. "Bonjour madam. How are you this fine day. My name is Atum and it's an honour to meet you."

Shadi listened to the stallion and stood there curiously for a moment. Bonjour? The other stallion she had met had also said bonjour and she wondered if all stallions talked like that. After thinking about that for a second she looked back at Atum. "Oh.. I am good. My name is Shadi, nice to meet you too.. Atum." She said and nodded her head slightly causing her mane to fall in front of her face. Sometimes her mane drove her crazy always falling infront of her face, she tried a couple of times to blow it out of her face then looked back up at him feeling somewhat foolish. She smiled softly letting out a little embarressed sort of laugh. She didn't know why she seemed to always feel nervous whenever she met new soquili. She was really like that when she was little.

Atum chuckled as the female battled with her hair. "Their is nothing to fear. I know that feeling as well." He said as, like on que, the braids of his golden and blue hair fell apon his face. The black stallion threw his head up, trying to throw his loose braids back into place.

Shadi smiled lightly. "Well atleast I am not alone then." She said as she laughed softly. She felt a little less nervous knowing that he too had problems with his hair, she felt less foolish atleast. "Sometimes I wish my hair was shorter." She said as she nodded her head slightly.

In reality though she probably wouldn't want to cut her hair, she kind of liked it even though it always went infront of her eyes. Sometimes she it seemed as though her hair was determined to filter what she could see, somewhat protecting her from though harshness of the world. It was kind of true afterall, she was too afraid of embarressing herself that she didn't meet many others so she had no really idea of any mean or evil soquili that could lurk in the world.
