The mornings were getting colder now and this morning Halloween found herself wishing she hadn't slept in the grass. She was covered in the morning dew and it was now soaked into her thick fur which made the breeze that rustled by even colder than usual. The night before it had been so hot that she'd been forced to sleep out in the open instead of in her usual cave with her two children. She'd been the only one who'd been sweltering last night and it was about time that her kids slept without her, they were adults after all!
She didn't want to move at all. The breeze was strong and her joints were stiff from the cold. As another breeze blew past she curled up even tighter and tucked her head beneath one of her back legs hoping to keep at least her nose warm. The sun was slowly beginning to rise on the horizon and it's light was just showing above the trees. Soon she would be warm she just had to wait for the sun. The warm warm sun.

Faolen stepped with a lively sense of non-purpose around the chilled grass. His parents sometimes wondered how he could be such a morning person but for Faolen it didn’t really matter. Cold or hot why not be in a good mood? Usually the stallion had to have a purpose for everything he did or else part of him felt just a bit awkward, that wasn’t the case today. Shifting himself from the left to right Faolen slowed down and gazed about to see what may be lurking about for him to either talk to or maybe even run from?
Her blicked a bit and not too far ahead he spotted what looked to be another Soquili. A smile instantly came to the black as night lips and he pranced forward with his neck arched, slowing to a normal walk just a ways away from the other. “Aye, good morning’ isn’t it?” The stallion spoke slowly and in a deep lull that for the most part came natural and the rest was a fill-in from being well… partially a vain male.

Halloween had no plans to move until the cold was gone however her plans seemed to so rarely work out. The voice of a stallion caught her attention and just listening to the voice told Halloween it was not her son who usually enjoyed disturbing her on cold days like this one. This was a new male which made her wonder what kind of stallion would be moving around her and this time of day.
Slowly Halloween lifted her head and looked up at the male her expression told she was not in a pleasant mood but she made no motion to attack him as she usually would have done had it been her son or just any male in general. This was usually her time to curl up and shiver alone or sometimes she'd get company from Gingey but that was rarely. "Depends on if you want to call wet fur and a cold wind a good morning."
