so, in drawing today we had to make 5 thumbnails with at least 2 horizontal and two vertical, and when the instructor came around to look at mine, she was like, "which one do you you like the best? Why? Okay, they look good, go ahead and get started."
whee YAY!!! whee i'm so happy! the last assignment didn't go so well and i now have high hopes about this one! plus, i get to draw horizontally too! vertical can be so boring sometimes... stare

Vertical what? Lines? Is it like, crosshatching? Linear designs?
I'd take Psychology over Art class any day. ninja

this is my 3rd year in college and I actually decided to drop out of the early childhood program and keep elelmentary education. in doing so, i finally have an opening in my schedule and decided to take Drawing!!
I miss having a formal art class and the one i have now, wasn't too bad. the professor's a bit quirky, but i'm starting to like it since it's a night class.
our first big artwork is drawing skeleton with emphasis on the negative space. i drew the enlarged version of the left hand with extra fine sharpie and india ink for the negative space. it turned out pretty good, but personally, it's not my style to copy from something but rather drawing anything from scratch (no onjects or pics to copy).
what other stuff have you done so far?

It is always nice when the teacher likes your work. My art teacher tells me my art is wonderful but I need to do them faster. I need to be looser with my work and not at detailed (which seems odd to me i like detail.)

my teacher isn't bad and i like my art class most times, but it really irks me when he tells me i'm not doing something exactly how he wants it. we just did this juxtaposing opposite but similar images thing and he was giving everybody a hard time about the images we chose. but we're kind of limited with the magazines we had. *sigh* oh well

I'd take Psychology over Art class any day. ninja draw vertically over horizontally, i feel i can get more info in a vertical drawing than a horizontal. XD
