Mix dish soap, and apple cider vinegar together (a 1:1 ratio) and set it out. It'll stink, but they're attracted to it! It smells like rotting fruit to them, and the soap catches on their wings, so they can't fly away! So they slowly drown.
I'm only posting this, because it's that time of year where they're EVERYWHERE! I know I hate looking like an idiot at I clap my hands a lot to kill the little suckers.
Hope you guys can use this to help you, I just made another batch of it, and I already have a few gnats caught!

There's like a book of things to get rid of pests. Like putting mothballs in your vacuum bag, and sprinkling salt on the floor kills flees. 3nodding

I knew that but it doesn't work for regular flies, at least not the ones in my house. Figured out how the flies got in though. My husband has a cable coming through our window in our basement. So I'm bugging him to get it to come in the wall somehow.
