So, they were finally here. Though it had been faster with flight as the form of transport. Setsumi had just payed her way through kisses. Reaching for the door of HQ, the female opened it and stepped inside. Her breath was held back, not knowing and hardly remembering what could be inside.
But it was empty; at least the main room was. Scanning through it once more, she turned back over her shoulder. "Coming inside?" She was sure her mate would enjoy the change of scenery. How she enjoyed that word, mate. And now with all worries behind her, she could say it freely. Moving slowly, she went up to the couches, tilting some to peek down the hall. She was eager to see her family, just didn't know where to expect them. Or who exactly to look for first.

Darkfeather was a little slow to follow, but he did. "Yeah" he replied, coming up behind Setsumi to look into the main room as well. Ears turned forward and red eyes blinking as he wondered what she was looking for. Well... her family, duh... but he had no idea what any of them looked like. He would just have to follow her lead.
The crested kitsu nudged his mate's side to get her attention, "Perhaps they're not here, right now. Although I'm sure we'll find them eventually." After all.. it was a big building... a big world even. They could be anywhere.

Eyes turned away from the hall, glancing at the winged kitsu. "Yeah, perhaps." She didn't really expect to find them right away. But it would happen eventually, that much she wasn't worried about. "My son Terasu looks just like me, in case you're wondering. And Edward, my adopted, has blonde hair in a braid." Sounded almost like a girl in description. X3 As to the grandkits....she had no clue what they looked like. Thta would be a surprise to them both.

Giving a nod, Darkfeather turned away from the hall and jumped up on a couch, and settled there. Draping his paws over the edge and lounging. Well those descriptions sounded easy enough. "Might as well wait for them here... their bound to come through at some point." Besides... it had been a long flight where he had to carry her. He liked the idea of resting for awhile before running around all over the place looking for Setsumi's grown children.

Setsumi had no arguments there. Besides, Darkfeather had deserved his rest, and she moved to sit beside the couch. She placed her head on the couch, next to Dark's paws as she contemplated. Just how many kits were there, if they were still kits at all? Peeking over at her mate, she cleared her throat abit. "You know....I've..been having morning sickness." IT was faint, but she could feel changes. The same as she had before.

Licking his mate atop her head, Darkfeather lifted his brows at Setsumi's statement. "You're ill?" he asked, apparently not getting what she meant by morning sickness. Although his brow did crease with concern.
It was also just then, that a pair of golden eye on a white face peeked around a doorway. The face framed by green bangs, and striped ears tilting back as she looked at Setsumi. A cloud like design not dissimilar to hers on the girl kitsu's sides. Hm.

"You could say that." She could tell, that insistant feeling in the back of her mind. How her tummy felt aggitated all the time, and her health would be so slow to recover in the mornings. The signs were clear enough for one who already had them. Setsumi didn't sense the eyes peeking in, nor hear anything from within the room. Her attention was focused on Darkfeather and his reactions. "But...it's a good thing."

Brows lifted in surprise this time, as DF looked at Setsumi as if she was crazy. Perhaps she was running a fever? "How is that a good thing?" he asked dubiously. It was obvious.. he didn't understand the workings of females... atleast not as well as he'd like.
While she didn't notice the little spy, Darkfeather certainly did. A growl rising from his throat as he looked dead on at the snoop. Jade blinked, eyes widening, then narrowing as she growled back.. eventually showing herself by coming around the corner. Her tails lashing back and forth in aggitation.

She could only smirk at his obvious confusion. But it was something she had no trouble defining for him. She placed a paw on his own. "Because, it means eggs." How soon, she didn't know. Nor how many. All that was really known was who the father was, and that was enough for her.
Tilting her head, she blinked to the newcomer that Dark had spotted. When had she arrived? Ears flitted back and she peered to her mate. "No need to argue." Leaning against the couch, she adjusted to get view of the other. "Hello there." Eyes drifted to the cloud pattern as well, quietly observing.

His growling stopped and Darkfeather looked back to his mate with disbelief. "Eggs?" He knew what those were... atleast in transition from being a bird.. having eggs hadn't changed. But he'd never been a father before. "Are you sure?" he asked, surprised that she had suspicions of being gravid already. They'd only mated once.. and it wasn't that long ago.
Jade wrinkled her nose at the two of them, a clear defiant attitude in her eyes that she got from her mother's side of the family. "You must be Setsumi" she said pointedly.

Setsumi tossed the male an exasperated pout. Of course she was sure! Apparently the only proof for males were when females turned fat. She gave a curt nod, but grinned none the less. They still had time to adjust to that fact; she wasn't showing yet.
Surprise crossed her face when the other girl knew her name. Suddenly, her curiousity became suspicion. "Yes, I am." She tried to catch the scent of the other, but found it foreign. Besides...she was an adult. "And who might you be?"

Now Darkfeather had even more reason to be protective of Setsumi.. she was carrying the eggs that he fathered! He would speak more on the subject, but there was this female Kitsu there, and his attention was on her. The winged kitsu standing up and practicly hovering protectively over his mate.
Jade smirked, "Figures.. he looks just like you." A flick of her tails, and she looked them both over again, amused. "I'm your granddaughter, Jade." The young female kitsu giving a mischevious toothy grin. Knowing full well that she hadn't known about their existence until recently.

Her granddaughter?! Setsumi's jaw fell slack, shocked to discover the kits were already grown. So...that explained the clouded tummy. But that green. She knew who her mother was afterall. Green eyes peered up at Dark for a moment, before she glanced back to the girl. Her own blood, finally met. "Jade." A lovely name. Though, she seemed to hold Charity's character. How pleasant.
Setsumi made to stand, slowly approaching the other female. "It's nice to finally meet you, Jade. And...where are your parents?" Plus, she didn't know how many grandchildren there were to expect.

Jade's amused grin broadened even more at Setsumi's surprised reaction. She also looked pleased to meet her grandmother, although she didn't say so outright. A roll of her eyes was given when asked about her parents. "They're around.. having some "alone time" if you know what I mean. But I'm sure they'll be done with that soon enough."
Darkfeather just looked somewhat dumbfounded as he listened to the girl speak. He caught Setsumi's gaze and looked back down at her with his own smirk. Jade seemed to be... rather charming indeed. Heh.

Well...that was an unexpected answer. Setsumi gave a chuckle, sweatdropping at that fact. "Oh....I see." Somewhat awkward, hearing what her son was up and doing. And being told so by her own granddaughter. Setsumi just shook her head, before giving a little start. "Oh, I'm sorry." A paw gestured toward the couch and the kitsu lounging atop. "This here is my mate Darkfeather." Now to ask her own delayed questions. "So Jade, how many siblings do you have?" Were they nearby as well?
